My LG G3 used to be on 1x800 a lot in my town, but something changed, probably a PRL update, and now I never see it switch to 1x800 anymore. -

Is there any way to make 1440p the default in the youtube app? Seems to fall back to lower resolutions when it's restarted.

I loaded the Google launcher and now my g3 acts pretty much identical to my nexus 5. Even the 'ok Google' voice commands work

Signalcheck pro reports that I'm connecting to a BSL that is a residential address. How is it getting this address information ? Is this one of these personal microcell boxes ?

Ditch the sprint connection optimizer and use the smart Wi-Fi toggle app. One drains battery and one saves it.

On freezes I wasn't doing anything weird just hitting send on a text. No sdcard installed. I was running ART and now I've switched back to see if it helps

You should have Wi-Fi calling. Mine has it and it works fine.

Anyone had a problem with random freezes ? Happened 3x so far and required pulling the battery

I think it's actually the back case. A little sand paper should fine tune it.

Not to be nit picky but can another G3 owner confirm if they have to insert the USB connector at a slight downward angle before it will plug in ?

My nexus held on to B25 longer with the .17 radio as well, but it was annoying because these fringe signals were seldom usable for data and connecting to a closer 3G tower was faster. I was happy when they upgraded the radio.

I have an unscientific test to test LTE scan time. 1. Be in a spot where you know for sure there is LTE coverage 2. Force the phone over to 3G only in network settings 3. Put it back on LTE mode and start a stopwatch. My nexus 5 took a full 8 minutes to switch to LTE. The G3 is typically under a minute.

This phone performs better than my nexus 5 as far as connecting frequently to LTE sites. Seems like it scans for them more often.

I bought the g3 but I'm keeping the nexus 5 as a backup and Europe travel phone. I used to switch out Sims for tmo as well but now the Sprint network has improved enough that its not worth the hassle and extra cost.

I am starting to think the M8 is a better package overall.
