  1. This was always magentas awesome feature. Great that it's coming to Sprint. Be good if it worked everywhere because when traveling overseas it's a perfect solution. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah, the problem is "just go away" is exactly what over a million Sprint customers did last year and a boatload of them went to magenta. As much as tmobile isn't liked around here, they are doing something right Everyone here knows that Sprint has the better network (or will). Once you have a customer and lose them because of a negative experience, it's 2X as hard to get that customer back when NV is complete. Verizon can afford to be a bit more arrogant with "not our phone" because they have a huge customer base and a network that rocks. I like what Sprint did with Framily , and getting the N5 on their network. I hope they start to see customer bleeding stop in 2014 and post some gains.
  3. I don't want to go magenta.. As a stock holder, I want Sprint to make it easier to be a customer with phones they don't sell. All of this b.s. about not being able to track down SIMs for the N5, or not activating phones that are 100% compatible with their network, but they just don't like who sold it, needs to change. If it's a nexus 5, they should be able to barcode scan the IMEI and enter it in their allowed database. The whole business of pre-loading serial numbers seems stupid. off my soap box
  4. Something tells me T-Mobile would have no problem activating a N5 sold by Sprint
  5. I'd have to pay for personal hotspot, this is free. By the way , it auto-renewed itself, and still working great. I haven't paid them a penny and they don't even have my CC info.
  6. Sprint should not make it difficult to become their customer. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

  8. I was over in Thailand and this was common there. If you paid for wireless you could access many hotspots put up by the wireless provider. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. OK I reinstalled. We will see what happens. I'm using Tapatalk Pro and signing in with Google +. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Sure you don't mean leave the last digit off the IMEI... Which is the MEID.? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. If you take your box to the store they can bar code scan what they need right off the box. That is how I watched them activate mine. They hit the box and sim with their bar code scanner. I'm also on sero and have a 32g phone. No issues. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. If you want to go, do it. I've tried T-Mobile and while you can get some fast lte download speeds the grass isn't greener. Indoor coverage is terrible and outside of cities your going to be on edge/2G speeds. Most my of friends on T-Mobile are not happy with their coverage. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. Anyone else have an issue where you have to keep reentering your password for S4GRU into tapatalk frequently? Other forums like XDA I never have to login over and over. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  14. Sprint used to roam to Verizon. Is that still true today.? I always had great rural coverage because my phone would roam on Verizon and I don't think anyone would argue that their rural coverage isn't the best of any carrier. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. If it was a eCSFB issue, the I wouldn't be able to connect after cycling airplane mode one would thing, but if I toggle airplane mode, I connect to LTE just fine. Most of the time the phone switches over to LTE, but today we were having lunch in a place literally 200 yards from a known active LTE tower, and it never auto-switched to LTE after being there 45min to an hour.
  16. I posted about the Nexus 5 being "stuck" on 3G before when close to an active LTE tower. Happened again today, and I don't believe it was a "scanning" timer issue, because I stayed in the same spot having lunch for about an hour and the phone never kicked over to LTE until I toggled airplane mode. Seems like a real issue that hopefully will get resolved at some point.
  17. What is? I pulled it right off the sprint web site. It's current. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. When Sprint has their network properly built out, the whole this radio vs that radio debate won't matter much.
  19. The G2 has better hardware than the Nexus 5, I don't think anyone would argue that. (but someone probably will in a second) The G2 has a bigger screen, bigger battery, better camera. For myself the Nexus 5 allowed me to step up to a tri-band phone from the GS3 I had without getting locked into another 2 year commitment to Sprint. This allows me to test out Spark when we get it, and if it isn't all that and a box of chocolates like promised, I can change carriers with no hassle. If Spark turns out to be awesome like we all expect, I may very well let Sprint give me a free G2 on an upgrade, lock in to an awesome network for another 2 years, and sell the Nexus 5 for probably dang near what I paid for it if history is any indicator. What is also nice about the Nexus 5 is that I've been able to run a T-mobile SIM on the $30 plan while I wait for a few more LTE towers to come on line here in AZ. I need about 3 more towers in my area to be LTE accepted and I'll drop the Sprint SIM back in. Until then I'm paying for 2 wireless plans, but honestly with the price of Sprint SERO + TMO $30/mo. I'm still paying less than my friends on AT&T
  20. 2015? I though they had to shut off wimax to enable spark on 2500 ? Anyway, she is a single mother without extra money to through around. She will probably just use the EVO 4G until her normal upgrade date hits, then get a free phone and another 2 year contact or Sprint offers her a free phone to get off wimax, whatever happens first.
  21. That wouldn't do it. The problem I have with google voice is when you enable full integration so your sprint # becomes your google voice #. When I have that enabled about every 4th or 5th call will ring the persons phone your calling, but on my end, I hear nothing except my own voice echos in my ear. I'll have to re-dial them sometimes 2-3 times before it goes through correctly. This has been an on-going problem with GV integration that I've seen others post about. I'm surprised Sprint has never fixed it, because it happens with enough frequency that it's not all that hard to reproduce.
  22. Unless you live in a spark enabled area I'd wait for the gs5.
  23. Are you using the google voice integration? If I enable GV integration I have this problem, and it goes away when I disable.
  24. My reason for asking is because my friends iPhone 5 is acting up, but she has an EVO 4G laying around. I told her the best plan may be to reactivate the EVO 4G use that and hopefully get offered an in-contract upgrade to an LTE device soon.
