    I know on the iPhone you can put the phone into field test mode and it will show the band your phone is operating in. Currently at home, I've been roaming for a whole now and I'll watch field test to see what's going on. Usually it sits in the PCS band, but I've seen it jump into the 800MHz band (I'm sure it's actually VZW 850) occasionally. Sent from my JB iPhone 4S using Forum Runner

    True... it is a rumor... but to me, if iMore posted this as the announcement date, and they claim it's from a reliable source... then I'm pretty confident this will be the date. Also, looking back at last year, for some reason I thought the iPhone 4S announcement was in September with October launch... however, the event was in October with launch 2 weeks later. No clue what I was thinking there

    It will be interesting to see the difference between the two. When my backhaul was upgraded, I too was seeing fantastic speeds, and after a month they dropped off. Currently, I can't test anything because my tower went dead and I've been roaming for almost a week now Once it's back up I'm curious to see if I'm on different channels when performance is good vs bad.     Actually, Apple is holding a special event on September 12, 2012. This is when they'll be announcing the new iPhone and possibly the rumored 7" iPad. If this will be anything like last years announcement, then the new iPhone will launch in October. Sent from my JB iPhone 4S using Forum Runner

    Moving the SMR band from iDen to 1x Advanced will definitely cut down on roaming costs

    So, based on this... I need my stock and blizzards delivered stat! In regards to OP... I'm glad that this happened to VZW. I know it sounds a bit hater-ish, but seeing things like this just remind me why I continue to stay with Sprint. Forget those overpriced shared data plans and sneaky tactics to screw over customers!
