  1. Agreed.  Underwhelmed.  VOLTE is enabled and it may work for some, but not in my home.  Band 41 is in my home at a -112 or worse.  On VOLTE, I get drops on my transmit because the phone can not reach the cell site.  I enabled some of the carrier aggregation options like 25+41.  While I was able to add the check mark to enable it, it sure does not appear to be working.  If it is working, I can not prove it.  It sure does not make VOLTE work on band 41. On a VOLTE call, I show band 41 3xCA download but only one B41 upload. Of course, VOLTE does not work well using band 41 upload when you are on the fringe. Band 41 probably works fine for VOLTE if you are close to the cell site, but it sure does not work my home without some upload.   Are we ever going to see any VOLTE that uses band 25 or band 26 for upload and band 41 for download???
I will be using CDMA for  along time maybe.  I have b41 everywhere, but as soon as I go into a building, the phone still hangs on to the band 41 sometimes down to -130.   When it does this, no data of any kind can be uploaded. Therefore no VOLTE inside many buildings but CDMA does still work.  I am about ready to just turn band 41 off.
If your in a Ericsson market it wont work. Samsung market is where 25+41 is working.

  2. 1 hour ago, Brad The Beast said:

Averages coming up slowly. Still a garbage display by all. Sprint is still firmly in last. Verizon is running away with it on speed. As of writing this, these are the current averages:

    Verizon: 25.86Mbps

    AT&T: 17.3Mbps

    T-Mobile: 16.03Mbps

    Sprint: 13.56Mbps

I can see Sprint being the slowest. 5mhz xCA for b25 and trash uploads on b41. If your on 5G you will get the best experience with 5G uploads and lower ping.

  3. Looks like it by the radio specs. Looks like all 3 will support N41. I'm planning on upgrading my AT&T line thought, I'll hang onto my 9+ on my Sprint line for awhile.

Its interesting that the report doesn't list B46 or B48. I'll have to see if I can make sense of the FCC filings, I'd be highly surprised if the left out LAA and CBRS.

Nevermind I see Sprint is on the reserve list so they are getting it.

  4. Its almost time for the next iteration of Samsung's Galaxy Phones! I'm planning on pre-ordering either the S20+ or Ultra. Current Rumors have it going on Pre-order February 11.  Let the discussion commence...

    Will Sprint even get one?

  5. I was wondering because it actually shows the CA info in SCP. I haven't seen that in either of my S9+ yet. I was hoping that would come with Android 10.
SCP shows incorrect info sometimes. I will be on b25 or b26 and it will still say b41x3CA. So I check my engineering screen to see if maybe interband is being used and its not.

  6. I've honestly never seen one in the wild other than mine. Always see Samsung and iPhones only [emoji20]
LG in general has almost no market share. It's a duopoly. I never see my S10 5G in the wild either though. But at least I got android 10 last week and the January update 2 days ago.

  7. An unofficial post on the OneUI2 beta community claims that the beta has gone final and has been released to the carriers for testing. I don't know how accurate this is but it's been a while (Jan 6) since we got a beta update. Since the original roadmap showed a January release, it's quite possible that the next update will include Android 10/OneUI2.
I still can't believe the S8 got volte 15 months ago. I couldn't take calling plus anymore so I went S10 5G and never looked back. If you need to see how bad calling plus is look no further than rootmetrics calling scores that Sprint has been getting since they started using S9's.

  8. Clearwire Towers still exist but they are rare (mainly random B2 or B4 sightings).
Almost all = Clearwire locations have been converted over to Nokia MM/SC clusters, though some have been upgraded to Tri-band towers. I assume the Clearwire sightings are from full-towers which also have legacy Clearwire equipment. Recently, some of the Nokia MM/SC clusters are starting to be upgraded to Tri-Band.
Orlando is a mess. The good part is 5mhz of b26 and 15mhz of b25.

Band 41 equipment is all over the place. Nokia, Ericsson and maybe 10% are Clearwire equipment. Then maybe 5% massive mimo antennas.
    Get that clear equipment out.

  9. I honestly prefer the design of the app, I use it when shopping on my phone since a lot of apps have integrated Google Pay as a payment method, and it does a good job of storing tickets and pulling ticket confirmation information from my emails and storing them to find later. Also almost every store I go into has NFC set up now. The three big exceptions were CVS, Target, and Walmart. Both CVS and Target activated NFC within the past year and I shop at Walmart once or twice a year (literally) so I always have the Walmart app on my phone set up with Walmart Pay just in case.
The design is very simple and innovative. All of my loyalty cards are on it but back to the thread.

Did Sprint enable TM9 on B25? Is that for Massive MIMO on b25 or something?

  10. I've switched over to Google Pay, because I really only use it on my watch(es). It's extremely rare for me to run into a terminal now that doesn't take the NFC payments so my watch GP works best. My bank will remove my digital numbers from Samsung Pay if it's inactive for a month, so just haven't put my cards back in.
It is amazing how within 6 months everyone finally turned on their NFC payments on the verifone terminals. I think I only hit one store this Christmas shopping period that didn't take it. Prior to that, Samsung Pay was superior, but now it doesn't really matter.
Bro Walmart still doesn't have NFC lol samsung pay is used heavy in there.

  11. I can echo that sentiment. From the first release, it was pretty stable. Every bug that I encountered, I reported, and it was fixed in the next update. Samsung is pretty proactive about fixing problems as long as they know about them. I'm still on the last version of the beta and the only thing I miss is Google Pay. Everything else works pretty much perfectly.
Why would you use Google pay over Samsung pay? It's so much better.
