    Just got it

  2. Got my 45watt charger today, it's freaking huge compared to the included 25watt one and the cable is much thicker I'm curious to try it out when I get home. My buds+ come Monday can't wait to see the improvements compared to the originals which I am giving to my nephew who I just got an S20 for. He was pissed about losing the headphone jack coming from his S9+ so I figured it was a fair compromise giving him my barely worn originals.

    Using the 45watt

    Mine went from

    0-38% in 15mins

    38-69% in 30 mins

    69-100% in 58 mins

  3. My concern for the Ultra (and partially why I went S20+) was exactly what MKBHD said in his video. The camera issues like extremely small focal plane might not be easily addressed by software fixes and that physics might win that battle for the worse. I hope that's wrong, but I didn't want to bet on software fixes if it wasn't better out of the box. Not all the reviews of the updated software say all the issues are fixed, just an improvement in the auto-focus issues. The Ultra is using different sensors than the S20+. I sure hope that Samsung can work out all the kinks, obviously.

  4. Setting up my phone now, just installed a system update so still a few things to do. First thing I did was turn on 120Hz and wow it's amazing. [emoji4]
    Is yours unlocked or Sprint?

  5. I don't know how much it matters to people but one of the things I'm looking forward to about these phones over my S10+ is the location of the NFC reader. On the S10+ it's in the middle of the phone on the back but on all of the S20's it's at the top of the phone.
It sounds stupid but if you've ever used iPhones for Apple Pay or even the Note 10, you'll understand that having the location of the NFC reader at the top of the phone makes it much easier to tap your phone for payments or public transportation. I'll no longer have to adjust my grip to pay by phone.
Bro I feel you 100% When I'm using it at any drive thru or bank drive through the location of the iPhone sensor makes it seemless. Samsung putting it on the back makes no sense. Thanks for the info I didn't know they changed it but man I am glad they did.

  6. i ordered from sprint. so its sprint version.
the only pro about the unlocked is that it is sim unlocked lol.

you can interchange the firmware from sprint to unlocked firmware and vice versa.
this does not mean it will unlock the sim if its sprint locked.

The unlocked version will be able to use esim and regular sim day one. Also you get to use LTE and WiFi at the same time to download things from the play store and when you are connected to B41 the icon will say LTE+ instead of just LTE so you know when your on the slower bands.

These are things the Sprint version doesn’t do.

  7. Just curious, are you folks ordering the unlocked version or the Sprint version?  What are the pros and cons these days of the unlocked version vs. the Sprint version?
Mine is unlocked and it's coming from texas.

  8. Question for someone knowledgeable. Is the Sprint Note 10+ compatible with all or most of T-Mobile's LTE bands?

Got a deal on one for my wife and I during the black Friday time period and paying the $25 or so a month for 24 months to pay it off interest free. So wondering if I'm going to need to pay it off early and sell and get another phone or should be fine for the next 1.5 years or so?

Its 100% compatible with a of tmobiles bands. Except for 5G.

  9. I'm a little late to the pre order party but I just pre ordered the ultra unlocked version directly from samsung.  Not sure if I will put it on sprint or at&t but it feels good to have that option since I have multiple lines with both carriers.  I also ordered the buds+ in black and a samsung leather case(I didn't see anything else I wanted).  My go to case for all of my devices is the spigen tough armor hybrid case, just ordered one off of ebay.
I did exactly what you did. Same accessories too.

But I also got the 45watt charger.

  10. I don’t know what everyone is talking about with VoLTE being bad. In my experience calls are clearer than my ATT VoLTE. Also first root scores came out today and guess what? They used a S9 last year with calling plus and Sprints calling scores tanked. Now they are using the S10 5G for Sprint and the Note 10+ 5G for the other three carriers and Sprint calling score have skyrocketed across the board using VoLTE. One test jumped from 75(calling plus) to 95(VoLTE).

  11. Traded in my S10+ for a $600 discount and used the $200 credit on a bundle with the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Buds+. Overall I am paying $799 for the phone, I got the Galaxy Buds+ for free and because the Watch Active 2 was part of a bundle it was only $175. My subtotal was $986 (I got insurance for $11.99) and taxes were $96 so about $1,083 in total. Overall I got $875 in discounts.
I always tell people if you don't care about holding onto your phone for forever, Samsung always gives insane discounts for trade-ins. It's kind of a sunken cost since I paid off the phone already but it's more than I'd get if I sold the phone on eBay or some other site for myself.
I've done this every year for the past 3 years. I got my S9+ for $400 on day 1 by trading in my S8+, my S10+ for $500 on day 1 by trading in my S9+, and now I'm getting the S20 Ultra, Galaxy Buds+, and Galaxy Watch Active (~ $2,000 worth of products) for just under $1,100.
Mine was a bit higher since I only had a S7 to trade in. $200 for it is a great price. I paid 1320 for everything with 96 in taxes, 235 in credit, samsung care plus, $65 led case, galaxy buds, 45 watt charger.

  12. Nothing was mentioned as far as pre-order bonus's with Sprint unfortunately. Probably won't get anything.
I'm going unlocked for the first time. I'm done with subsidizing. Now my iPhones and Galaxy devices will come straight from the source.
