  1. My prl is 25014. I'm for sure not roaming, in northern oc with LTE. Unless the phone shows band 0 on evdo when connected to LTE.
  2. So it is a good thing my evolte is showing band class 0 on the evdo engineering screen which has better distance coverage and in building penetration? J.
  3. This may sound silly but was the auto brightness turned on? Some phones will show it is set in the middle with the auto checked. That means it is in auto and if it was turned off the phone would go to the middle setting. J.
  4. I can tell you first hand the schedule is not to get sites near the stores up first. In many cases the mobile data isn't even usable except for wimax devices which the only available one now is the s2. There has been several cancelled accounts due to slow speeds or lake of usable mobile data. Hence why many will argue sprint still offers unlimited because it isn't usable. J.
  5. You can try this. 1-Power off the phone. 2-hold volume down + power button. 3-show barcode. I know it does this on the EVO LTE to show the IMEI, SN, and MB(not sure what SN and MB are). It shows the numbers and scannable barcodes. If the HTC One shows them then you should be safe to remove the sticker.
  6. I would be so happy if HTC made a nexus again based off the htc one but with a 8 megapixel ultrapixel.
  7. I see. I am glad you touched on that topic of Sprint and Tmobile. I read an article when Dan Hesse announced future consolidation and Sprint+Softbank deal was announced. The author predicted that in the future Sprint and Tmobile may merge along with the smaller carriers to take on Verizon and At&t capping the market at three top compititors. The author also used other European and Asian markets as evidence as industries typically capped out at three major players.
  8. I am not too educated when it comes to network technology, but wouldn't it cost Sprint a lot of money to switch to gsm? I am assuming most of the radios in the sites are not compatible. If you would so kind, please enlighten me about the differences if possible.
  9. If only sprint used sim cards. Then you can activate on sprint as you go for the same $70 a month.
  10. Stop day dreaming haha. If phones worked like that on all 4 I would never buy a subsidized phone again.
  11. Interesting article regarding the unlocked htc one. http://mobile.theverge.com/2013/4/23/4254254/htc-does-what-google-wouldnt-sell-an-lte-phone-without-att-nonsense
  12. New sims for iden haven't been available for about 2 years.
  13. Aren't all the iDen sims the standard size? The HTC one is a micro I believe, so cutting it would make the iDen handset useless.
  14. Just curious, has anyone found a way to remove/disable blinkered?
  15. Looks like a site went live in Anaheim, slightly north of Brookhurst and Ball. Did 2 speed tests really quick. One was about 6.50mps and the second was about 12 mps. Slightly mapped, I was in hurry.
  16. Have you guys seen the HTC mini accessory for the HTC one? Its pretty cool but doesn't look like we will be able to get our hands on it. http://www.google.com/#q=HTC&safe=off&source=lnms&tbm=nws&sa=X&ei=kARxUeqLEsaAygH-q4GIAQ&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.45373924,d.b2I&fp=6db08cc626233a43&biw=800&bih=1232
  17. Who do you have insured by?
  18. I always recommend putting it on at first. After using it for a few weeks you can decide if the phone is strong enough without it or waiting for a case to come in.
  19. Sticky situation your in there. Hopefully everything works out. I've always had good experiences. The site that serves your area must not be running the 800 for voice. From what I can tell through experiencing pre on the 1900 is speeds are greatly reduced in doors vs out doors and distance. With the two serving my area of is rare to see more than 4mps in doors. Outside of my house I get around 7-9mps. When I'm right in front of a site I got 33mps and the other at 20mps.
  20. Depends what the surrounding buildings are. I am in OC and my phone toggles between two sites. I am about 1.5 miles from one and 1 mile from the other. My room happens to be equally weak for the two sites about -111dBm. I am waiting for the closest site to be come active.
  21. That's when you say "Google" and then say what you want. I was used to how the EVO 3d was also, when I first got the EVO LTE there was no Google now, the voice had to be an app which was a bummer. I believe the HTC one Google now will work similar to the EVO LTE and all the nexus devices.
  22. Google now will make calls, text, navigate, search with only using you voice. I personally love Google now. It also gives you traffic, weather, restaurants, lounges, etc.
  23. As of right now everything is pointing for the 19th, not sure why there is not much showing that. Mainly sprint site wants people to preorder via website or on htc.com.
  24. with how smartphones are being able to back up everything are various cloud services, why is sprint move towards sim card? does that mean they are slowly converting to gsm? i know this is kind of a dumb question
  25. Since we know HTC had to make a specific model for HTC so they could have just added to it to make it work, it was probably cheaper to leave it in similar to the nexus 4 supporting few games of late from the similar parts from the optimus g. If this is the case, it may have the hardware but will never use it.
