  1. People seem to be less vocal about the slow down in Chicago now. I don't know if it has to do with Spark or if it is just something they did in the background.

I was in Chicago at the end of October and I enjoyed the speeds a lot. Even high up in the hotel is it was still good for being a weak signal. I can't imagine it already being congested.

I have one. It's kind of nice. I have two phones (one VZ one Sprint) and average just above 2 gigs a month on each. I'd like to note that there is a ton of duplicated data, so if I had just the one, I wouldn't be just above 4 gigs. I'd consider myself a moderate user, but I rarely stream other than random YouTube\Vimeo\etc.

Hmmm. I don't know what I could be doing then. Honestly, I check this website, school, and get several emails a day. Although, I have noticed the increase due to additional cites being 4g accepted.

  2. In most areas, Verizon is significantly faster and they have better coverage more places. Also, the majority of people are going to use less than 1.5 gigabytes.

I don't see how that is possible. I consider myself a moderate user but this last month school has been keeping me off my phone and I am around 3 gigs at 15 days in my cycle. I haven't netflix, very little pandora, and maybe 5 youtube videos top. The rest has been just browsing looking things up.

On a side note, When I worked at Sprint I saw some people go around 15 gigs a month. With B41 network congestion should be a thing of the past until Sprint has a significant increase in subscribers.

  3. I'm using only a rubber/polyurethane cover with no screen protector. I never liked how screen protectors felt, nor how bubbles and dirt get in anyway.

I'm using a cruzerlite case with a cheap screen protector. I'm tried of all the lint and it is a pain to clean it out. The phone feels so much better without a case. My HTC one I liked better with a case cause the matt finish made it slip from my hands. Debating on keeping my N5 naked.

With the nexus 7, I know which end is which by feeling for the usb socket bump. Also, the front camera hole is pretty easy to see, the power button is near the front camera.

  4. I have issues where its in the CDMA Sprint mode, and it coming with errors saying that it can't find a T-Mobile signal. Ugh.

You can try restart, or profile update. I doubt there phones were meant to be switching between carriers. I'm sure it would be fine with a hard reset if needed, although it would be an inconvenience.

  5. I can see where hangouts only allowing 160 cjaracters can get annoying. I'm curious if Google set that to get us off of texting and more on hangouts through data. I have a few contacts that doesn't show up in hangouts to text but their user name with their email shows up. If I want to text them the normal way I have to go through the "people" app.

  6. i have an n5 but cant connect to lte. i used to sim card from my s4. even in lte only mode it stays on 3g.

Did you just pop it in the phone or did you give it to the rep along with your msid? I activated my Nexus 5 today and it loaded LTE my default.

  7. Nah it really didn't.  I was hoping to test out ART at least on mine.  Got my N5 sitting on my desk back home, so I'll be one of the groupies soon enough lol.

Have to ask... What is everyone's favorite thing about the device if they had to pick one thing?  (After using the device)

No bloatware. It is very quick to response, I was shocked to notice a difference from the HTC One, I didn't believe I would notice it. Stock experience.

  8. I had to order another case because the heavy duty one negated my wireless charging capabilities.  Ended up buying a yellow bumper case to make this nexus 5 a sprint classic

Have you looked at cruzerlite cases? I got one for the nexus 4 when I had it, then the HTC One, and now my nexus 5 case just came in. TPU type case.

  9. I noticed this today on my One Max...

I have a 2.1 amp Y charger I use in my car. In one USB port I have a Beats Audio branded micro USB cable. In the other is a Motorola micro USB cable.

Even with reversing where the cables plug into, the Beats cable would always show "slow charging" on my phone. As a result, while using nav, my battery would drain while plugged in.

The Motorola cable doesn't cause my phone to slow charge and it will actually provide enough juice to charge to 100% while using nav.

    Food for thought.

Also, keep in mind that most Y chargers that are 2.1 amp charge at the rate only if there is nothing else attached. If you always have something on one end and the phone on the other end then roughly 1.05 is going to each device.
