  1. Yes there is an update for 3xCA and android 7 is starting to go out on some carriers worldwide.

SCP does not show CA only guesses what carrier your on based on gci. *#0011# to see if your on CA.

If the screen says CA not configured does that mean the phone does not have it enabled at all or does it just mean it simply isn't being employed at the time? The band shown is 41, of course.
  2. I wonder why people aren't using wifi as much.

Wifi is often overloaded and, in my experience, incredibly slow, often to the point of being entirely useless. Even in my apartment my Sprint b41 connection yields 50 - 70 Mbps while wifi is often crawling but still usable. That said, I remain on my wifi and refuse to hog Sprint's bandwidth when I don't need to. So should everyone else so long as wi-fi is still usable.

  3. Ya I agree... well at least send out a carrier settings update allowing for simultaneous voice and data then like what The other carriers have

Anywhere one gets wifi (home, work, school, gym...Most everywhere), one does have simultaneous voice and data. And no one needs to be browsing the web and conducting a voice call while operating a motor vehicle (the only place one likely does not have wifi). So I absolutely do not get why this would be a deal breaker for anyone.

  4. Marge's lawn chair was flipped? Holy smokes! Call in the National Guard. Declare a state of emergency.

The media is so pissed the massively overhyped hurricane didn't rip off chunks of the East Coast and otherwise completely decimate humanity that they are literally out hunting for anything at all to justify their bizarre, inflated statements. Was their damage? Sure. But was it ever at all in danger of being "the worst storm in 100 years" (as many began oddly calling it)? Absolutely not. Life here in South Florida is essentially completely unscathed though folks to our north did experience more issues than we did.

  5. BTW been in Miami Beach since Monday night and have had no real issues with Sprint service. I dropped to 3G once....deep inside a building where we were celebrating a hurricane party. Like all drunk idiots we then proceeded outside where we each immediately reconnected to the second band 41 carrier available on the island. Overall.. Long vacation, too much alcohol, very little wind nor rain and excellent, largely unfaltering, Sprint service.

  6. I guessed no one noticed what the article really said about Comcast. 1 they sold the spectrum to Verizon a while back with the caveat that is happening by mid 2017 that Comcast will have a MNVO operation using Verizon and the Comcast Wi-Fi zones setup around the country including the hot-spot known as Comcast cable customers. They are not starting a new cell network, just piggy backing on Verizon.

I thought that was made abundantly clear in the myriad articles on the subject. Maybe people didn't fully read the articles word for word? But, no, they absolutely are not building a new network, at least for the time being. Just a Verizon MVNO with a few tweaks.

  7. It's absolutely fair to be disappointed or mad that Sprint doesn't have the large service area of the other 3 but in my opinion it's not fair to pseudo-demonize Sprint for focusing on 3xCA deployment instead of building out thousands of new macro sites. I'm sure Sprint did a cost benefit analysis of this and saw that when you can cover 95% of the POPs of the country's largest network while having a network one third of the size, then for now spending billions on expansion isn't worth it. I don't see the problem in giving a better/more solid experience to those in the current footprint before expanding outward.

For now Sprint needs to beat everyone else within their current footprint, something that T-Mobile did early on before they expanded. It makes sense for Sprint to do the same.

Another excellent point. I guess the lesson here is if Sprint doesn't work for you then simply don't use them. For me Sprint is good to excellent. It is others for whom I feel badly. That said I still find it surprising and disappointing that many decently sized metro areas STILL lack band 41..like my hometown of Lexington, KY. A metro area of half a million still with no band 41? Sprint has a ton of work yet to do, even within its native footprint. So I guess that even further bolsters your contention.
