Velvet?! LOL okay [emoji1787]

I don't know, but he kinda lost credibility by including Nextel in that statement! [emoji16]

I miss Arizona, but I don't know if I'm ever going to get back for a visit. Would love to check out the old neighborhood in Chandler. Our old house is still there, but everything around it has changed significantly! There used to be cotton fields along the road I walked to gradeschool, that are now big housing subdivisions. You sure you don't want to? Its mid 80's today. lol -
It's working fine here in KC on my V50. Not driving to Phoenix to check there LOL [emoji23]I'm in the phx market and haven't been able to get on 5G any longer. Is that the same for other v50 owners.- 1

It's not available on sprint.com anymore, but the V40 is.. I'm taking that as a sign. Good thing they practically gave the device to me, or I'd be feeling pretty upset. I suspect it's just because it doesn't support TMO's 5G bands, as my understanding is that the S20 5G devices do. I didn't see the OnePlus Pro 5G out there either - only the S20s.

I just killed all Sprint bands on my note 10 plus and immediately latched onto band 66 upon restart. Although the speed test initially spiked to around 11 Mbps it did quickly throttle back to about 5 Mbps.
I've always been afraid to change these settings on my phones. Are there any risk of disabling these and not being able to re-enable them later?

Sprint is broadcasting both LTE and NR (5G) on band 41 using the Massive MIMO antenna arrays. Hopefully that continues as the networks are integrated. I imagine more bandwidth will shift toward 5G in the future. Frankly it starts to get a bit over my head.So I've been wondering this and I should know the answer but I don't. The question is: do all of us with 4G LTE phones lose band 41 for 4G?
I'm thinking that I read they can dual broadcast 4G and 5G over band 41 using the latest equipment but I'm not certain. Any explanation would help. Thanks, guys.- 1

I sure hope when they start using 2.5 for TMO 5G, it doesn't stop working on my V50.Seems like they're serious about only selling devices compatible with both networks going forward. That's a good sign.- 1

The main difference I see is all that roaming east of Seattle is gone, but it may have been gone for a while.. I hadn't looked at that area in a while. The voice coverage map specifically looks awful in Seattle, probably even worse than L1900 coverage...- 1

So nearly a month wasn't enough time for them to do what they said they would do? Screw 'em!So CPUC is mad because T-Mo and Sprint didn't wait for the official vote before closing the merger. CPUC already said they were gonna vote yes so I don't know why they're being whiners.

I watched it for a while today as I drove in and out of 5G coverage, and the indicator in the app was always in sync with the system 5G icon.
There's no signal or cell ID info being reported, but I found a different approach to try.. unfortunately it doesn't give anything useful other than a status flag. Not convinced it's entirely accurate yet, but that's where you guys come in!- 1

Will do.. curious what you are using to detect 5G since nothing seems to be showing in diagnostic mode.Your report was on time, but there's no 5G data showing other than that status flag I made up. Keep an eye on it if you can.. let me know if that seems to appear and disappear with the 5G status bar icon or not.. -
Got the update on my V50. I got da 5Gs! [emoji23] I think by the time I sent the diag report I might have dropped to LTE. I didn't see any 5G in the diag data. Then again, I didn't see that section at all until you pointed it out to me. [emoji16]

Can we just expel California from the US already?!

It's also dependent on the new Android 10 APIs providing 5G info, which is dependent on the manufacturer implementing it. So far the V50 hasn't had any 5G data in the reports even when on an active 5G connection.

That's okay, since Sprint's coming to T-Mobile. [emoji16]
I predict another solid phone from LG that sells poorly because for whatever reason LG is viewed negatively of their phones aren't head and shoulders ahead of Samsung's. Just makes me scratch my head. Though their handling of Android upgrades in the past has me almost frustrated enough to switch. I am hoping Sony keeps making phones long enough for me to get one down the road once the merger is completed.

They're hearing very little at this point, I'm sure.
