We went to Colorado in July specifically to get away and go somewhere we could be in the open and away from large crowds. We've wanted to go for years but never did until this year. I'm sorry to hear you were not able to make your planned trip. It's beautiful but seeing this makes me sad, if not for CV19 coming into play we had a huge west trip planned that included all the Utah parks save Zion, and we'd be on week 3 of it still right now. Going to try again in 2 years to let things finally sort/settle hopefully.I also updated my post to make sure people know I didn't take that photo. I definitely want to go there though.

Fixed for me, thanks.Another beta rolling out now! It should fix the issue with unnecessary GSM and 5G-NR display blocks appearing. If it's still not fixed, please send me diagnostics as usual. Thank you as always!- 2
-
LOL been there done that [emoji23]
Yeah it's happening to several users -- my guess is it's on devices native to non-CDMA networks. My "fix" was clearly a "break" haha.. please send me a report, I hope to get it resolved by tomorrow morning.- 1

I'm only getting the empty GSM block.
Thanks.. can you send me a report when you're not connected to 5G but seeing that block? -
I went for a drive last night and definitely saw the values changing. I stopped in the Lowe's parking lot and sent a report while running a speed test. Hopefully it has something useful in it. [emoji2369]

I didn't notice if the values were fluctuating because I was driving, but I will go out in a bit and stop and watch them when I see the 5G section populate. I sent the report when I stopped at a red light, and by the time I pasted in my message I had written earlier and hit send, the light was already green. [emoji16]Yes, there are at least two OnePlus 8 TMOs on the beta.. and all reports are helpful, especially when there's context as to what the user thought they were seeing at the time (ie "My phone was showing 5G but SCP wasn't"). I receive a lot of reports, but more data is better so please feel free to send whenever you like.. especially after firmware or app updates. Some users run different OS/firmware versions and that helps me learn what issues might be my fault vs. what issues are resolved by system updates that I can't control. When you see 5G info in SCP, do those readings fluctuate? Or do they seem to remain stagnant? If they are changing, that's a strong indicator that it's valid data.
I do feel like I've seen them change before when I was watching them, but it's been a while since I really payed attention, as I didn't think it was really 5G at the time.

Have you received any reports from the OnePlus 8 besides mine? I'm not sure how good the data is based on what I've read on here about how TMO is showing 5G as long as you're connected to an anchor LTE band even if there is no NR connected. Just hoping I'm sending actually helpful reports [emoji23]

We don't really need any of those things, if you're being honestWhy does average America need more than 100 mbps?? Really? It's called technology advancement. Why do we need 707 Hp cars? Model T's and VW Bugs with 48hp still did the job. Why do we need flat screen HDtvs when the old 480p big box picture tube ones worked? Not a worthy rebuttal. T-Mob needs to turn up the gas. Fix the outages on the east coast. (Maryland, PA, Virginia..)...- 1

As far as I'm concerned, this is a good thing. But then I worked for Sprint for 27 years, and I'm sad to see the name go away.- 2

The SA deployment is nationwide on N71.

According to that link, the OnePlus 8 supports 5G SA, but it didn't specify the software version required. How would I know if I was connected to 5G SA? -
It should already have access to it. All current Sprint 5G phones should use the TMO 5G and LTE networks first, then the Sprint networks, then roaming. All I ask is that my LG V60 be given access to the T-Mobile 5G network -
Oh no! It's big brother! [emoji33] [emoji23]That's for cops nothing to do with cellular

My first decent speed test on T-Mobile. Someday maybe it will catch up with the Sprint 5G network that was shut down.

Even after all the pics I've seen on here over the years, I still have no idea what I'm looking at when I see a tower. [emoji16]

This is rough off the top of my head, so I may have to edit it later. Dumb phones from 98-2007 not included. There were only a handful of those before I bought the PPC6700. The first was on Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, before Sprint PCS was launched.
PPC6700 (UTStarcom/HTC Apache)
Palm Treo 800W
Palm Pre
HTC EVO 3D
Palm Pre
iPhone 5
Palm Pre2 (w Sprint modem)
Nexus 5X
Nexus 5
LG G5
LG V40
LG V50

Thanks. I have the OnePlus 8. I haven't been around the city much lately (shock, I know [emoji16]) but when I was traveling down 635 recently, I wasn't looking for 5G coverage. What phone you have? I-435 and State Line coming from St Joe Hospital, 135th and Switzer in OP, and along I-635 between I-70 & I-35 in KCK. -
Where? I haven't run across any of them. Was in Kansas City Sunday & Monday and found a few sites changed over to NR41 on T-Mobile and speeds where between 250-360 down and 36-60 up.

Yes, but it appears to be the same as T-Mobile's offer. At least that's what I see on their site. The promotion looks like it is only for a new line of service, not to upgrade an existing line. [emoji20] -
I don't know if you are still waiting, but the OnePlus is showing 50% off on Sprint's site now. I ordered one this morning for in store pickup. Edit: well lease payment is 50% off, full price is still $699.Thank you! I could not find it before because the filter selection for 5G phones is not working correctly.Unless I am failing again, I unfortunately cannot find these phones sold anywhere outside the Sprint website. [emoji20]
I have usually bought my Sprint phones through Best Buy.
Also, T-Mobile is giving a 50% off promotion for OnePlus 8 but not Sprint? [emoji20]

I would imagine for existing Sprint customers, they will access both networks like they've done for other devices.I wonder if these will be activated as T-Mobile phones and have absolutely no access to the Sprint network?- 1

For me it's the loss of the true third rear camera, and frankly I'm tired of LG's poor handling of monthly updates and upgrades. As much as I've liked my V40 and V50, it's not enough anymore.I personally don't want the V60 anymore. The screen resolution isn't as good as the V50.

I don't know if the CPU should be what gets the price down. If OnePlus can get the price of the 8 with an 865 in it, why can't Google with the Pixel?
