  1. Man we’re going to need a service experience review from you. Sprint has done so much in your market in such a very short span of time.

Yes coming soon on the 21st of September.. Sprint has managed to upgrade a high percentage of their current tower grid here in 5 months.. More sites are being upgraded that I still haven't checked on yet.. and the mall sites looks to be getting massive Mimo as that site serves an indoor and outdoor mall that are across the street from each other.. will upload pics as soon as I can get to that side of town (Ericsson market btw ) ..band 26 is up on all those sites which should be turned on any month now.. for Sprint to have a shot at volte with just 60 macro towers a tough task ? I'll have to check and see where drops to 3G happen and evaluate based on that, but more sites are needed Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  2. Look, they admitted in their filing with the FCC (and were asked for further data) that they spent more money on promotions than network investments ( I took advantage of one of them). T-Mobile's uncarrier moves hurt mostly Sprint and deprived them of needed revenue for network expansion. I am not even talking about 5G. They still don't have triband on all their sites, they still have holes in their coverage (no I am not talking about rural coverage). They need to deploy 4x4, QAM 256 on all their sites. Will they be able to keep the network investment up to be a viable network operator in the future? I have my doubts. Can they surprise me? Sure. You are right though, this merger will happen Then I will complain about how much T-Mobile exaggerates their rural coverage.[emoji23]

Again, the facts are there that Sprint has under spent on the network in the last 3 years.. but now that they are spending we are seeing markets catch up to par not within one year, two years we are seeing it happen within 3 to 6 months and they are upgrading the sites quick to tri band.. San Diego is another example Sprint is right on par with all the carriers and once they get the higher Uplink going they will also be in the low to mid 90s.. so I think at this point of network shouldn't be a concern anymore as Sprint has shown that they will Implement small cells and add Towers where needed.. the question now is can they gained enough subscribers per quarter to recoup the network Investments that they are making over the next three years in case the merger doesn't get approved9506747c421ae4203767f1c849527847.jpgAlso, 4 x 4 Mimo from what I have seen Sprint is incorporating it on all of these upgrades so at the end it's just a flip of a switch on the software side to turn that on so I don't think that'll be a big issue

  3. I dont think sprint will have a strong 5g network. They will have a 5g network and it will be somewhat more dense in some markets than today but they dont have the resources to do it right. That has been their problem since the Nextel merger.
I don't think it's the resources anymore at this point.. Sprint has enough spectrum to where they won't need as many tower to bring capacity to certain areas.. I think it's SoftBank not fully 100% confident/behind Sprint to fully go at it alone...and Sprint brand image.. I think that's about it really .. the network will tag along piece by piece.. imo

  4. the notion that Sprint can't fail that's a bit far fetched..I think they can fail. Without this merger do you guys truly believe Sprint will make it ?

It's just a bit hard to see the clear picture.. I think Sprint can compete on their own going into 5G, but it will lead to them raising prices also.. So, as much as it would be good for competition higher prices from all 4 carriers isn't good ether

  5. Hmm.... not certain what this means.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/11/fcc-says-it-is-pausing-180-day-shot-clock-on-its-review-of-a-merger-between-t-mobile-and-sprint.html
The Federal Communications Commission needs more time to review the proposed Sprint-T-Mobile deal, the agency said in a letter to the companies Tuesday.

The 180 day transaction clock has officially been paused.. FCC need more time to review.. so the initial time frame Q3 2019 when the deal was supposed to closed could be pushed back depending how long the FCC needs

  6. Yes, and it's moving along. I believe end of year is still the target for most of the southern border.

Still a bit concerned that it's still listed as red .. I was hoping by now it would be in the light green with one license left. maybe I'm looking at it wrong? Or the clearance can change just that fast 30days at a time

  7. Oh snap !!!

Sprint is coming back. The fourth-place national carrier (in our Fastest Mobile Networks tests) has made great strides in LTE speeds over the past year, jumping from an average of 19.09 to 26.33Mbps on Ookla's Speedtest Intelligence metrics. Depending on the average of att and Verizon for the quarter that puts sprint neck and neck with att and Verizon

  8. That jump in El Paso is extremely notable because it has historically been one of Sprint worst major markets. In half a year Sprint went from being not recommendable at all to being able to say they only slightly worse than Verizon and AT&T.
Ya, great improvmemts by Sprint and still a few more sites are getting upgraded to band 41 currently.. just wish network reliability was a little higher on the score.. I think it could mean a few drops to 3G are happening , but nothing that hasnt happened on att or tmo. So, Sprint is right there with everyone competiting

  9. The only question I figure is what is going to happen to Sprint customers when Verizon shuts down CDMA altogether. I think they may try to Kabul some type of Lte roaming agreement but I don't know.

By that time all of sprints roaming will be handle by tmo.. hoping by that time tmo would have services in these areas
