Again, the facts are there that Sprint has under spent on the network in the last 3 years.. but now that they are spending we are seeing markets catch up to par not within one year, two years we are seeing it happen within 3 to 6 months and they are upgrading the sites quick to tri band.. San Diego is another example Sprint is right on par with all the carriers and once they get the higher Uplink going they will also be in the low to mid 90s.. so I think at this point of network shouldn't be a concern anymore as Sprint has shown that they will Implement small cells and add Towers where needed.. the question now is can they gained enough subscribers per quarter to recoup the network Investments that they are making over the next three years in case the merger doesn't get approvedAlso, 4 x 4 Mimo from what I have seen Sprint is incorporating it on all of these upgrades so at the end it's just a flip of a switch on the software side to turn that on so I don't think that'll be a big issueLook, they admitted in their filing with the FCC (and were asked for further data) that they spent more money on promotions than network investments ( I took advantage of one of them). T-Mobile's uncarrier moves hurt mostly Sprint and deprived them of needed revenue for network expansion. I am not even talking about 5G. They still don't have triband on all their sites, they still have holes in their coverage (no I am not talking about rural coverage). They need to deploy 4x4, QAM 256 on all their sites. Will they be able to keep the network investment up to be a viable network operator in the future? I have my doubts. Can they surprise me? Sure. You are right though, this merger will happen Then I will complain about how much T-Mobile exaggerates their rural coverage.[emoji23]Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

It was more to get support for the merger then anythingDidn’t sprint admit they won’t be able to compete without the merger?

If anyone is planning on switching to Sprint... Sprint is lowering their buyout program down to $450 starting on September 21st

My predictions are Q2 next year ..
Once sprint gets massive mimo more widespread and 4x4 mimo more widespread.
Sprint should win both.

I don't think it's the resources anymore at this point.. Sprint has enough spectrum to where they won't need as many tower to bring capacity to certain areas.. I think it's SoftBank not fully 100% confident/behind Sprint to fully go at it alone...and Sprint brand image.. I think that's about it really .. the network will tag along piece by piece.. imoI dont think sprint will have a strong 5g network. They will have a 5g network and it will be somewhat more dense in some markets than today but they dont have the resources to do it right. That has been their problem since the Nextel merger.

Yup and that's just based on more recent 4G investments.. once 5G starts those prices will keep risingAll 4 carriers have raised prices this year or added a new premium tier.

the notion that Sprint can't fail that's a bit far fetched..I think they can fail. Without this merger do you guys truly believe Sprint will make it ?
It's just a bit hard to see the clear picture.. I think Sprint can compete on their own going into 5G, but it will lead to them raising prices also.. So, as much as it would be good for competition higher prices from all 4 carriers isn't good ether

More band 41 upgrades on the way... This one was completed today almost at 100% complete across the city

Hmm.... not certain what this means.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/11/fcc-says-it-is-pausing-180-day-shot-clock-on-its-review-of-a-merger-between-t-mobile-and-sprint.html
The 180 day transaction clock has officially been paused.. FCC need more time to review.. so the initial time frame Q3 2019 when the deal was supposed to closed could be pushed back depending how long the FCC needs

Nice! Can't wait hopefully it will launch with 4x4 Mimo on band 26 that would be icing on the cakeIt's red because it's border region. That's coordination with Mexico plus some license holders.
Note that the El Paso license holders have cleared. So it's probably coordinating with Mexico still.

Still a bit concerned that it's still listed as red .. I was hoping by now it would be in the light green with one license left. maybe I'm looking at it wrong? Or the clearance can change just that fast 30days at a timeYes, and it's moving along. I believe end of year is still the target for most of the southern border.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Oh snap !!!
QuoteSprint is coming back. The fourth-place national carrier (in our Fastest Mobile Networks tests) has made great strides in LTE speeds over the past year, jumping from an average of 19.09 to 26.33Mbps on Ookla's Speedtest Intelligence metrics. Depending on the average of att and Verizon for the quarter that puts sprint neck and neck with att and Verizon

Ya, great improvmemts by Sprint and still a few more sites are getting upgraded to band 41 currently.. just wish network reliability was a little higher on the score.. I think it could mean a few drops to 3G are happening , but nothing that hasnt happened on att or tmo. So, Sprint is right there with everyone competitingThat jump in El Paso is extremely notable because it has historically been one of Sprint worst major markets. In half a year Sprint went from being not recommendable at all to being able to say they only slightly worse than Verizon and AT&T.

Sprint is pushing..and even in Pittsburgh they overall scored higher then TMO thereWowww looking at the speeds from the 1st half of the year and now, that's a huge jump in speeds. This is the Sprint we all longed for when it comes to putting that all spectrum they have to use.

Another win for Sprint in my market El Paso ... Fastest average download speed @17.9mbps... passed TMO on network speeds..

And after an investment in the market Sprint now has the fastest average download speed at 17.9 jumped above T-Mobile on network speeds... Once upload improves those scores will also improve

By that time all of sprints roaming will be handle by tmo.. hoping by that time tmo would have services in these areasThe only question I figure is what is going to happen to Sprint customers when Verizon shuts down CDMA altogether. I think they may try to Kabul some type of Lte roaming agreement but I don't know.
