  1. That is correct. Disappearing about a year from now. Expect it sooner in most cases/places as they need the spectrum for LTE.

Places that are seeing band 5 ... I guess we should expect those markets to have CDMA shut off already I'm guessing of course

  2. I don't know how to read that either but from what I've read of their FCC documents, it seems like their wireless broadband is going to target folks without access to high speed broadband and low income areas, at least initially. It's mentioned in the latest document that they made for the FCC that by 2024, they'll offer download speeds of 25Mbps or greater to 52.2 Million POPs over 2.4 Million square miles to homes in rural America which corresponds to 84% or rural POPs. They also state that they believe 20-25% of new adds in 2024 will be from in-home broadband subscribers in rural areas.
The combined Sprint and T-will “have sufficient capacity to offer an in-home product at a lower price than current offerings in over half of U.S. zip codes, bringing broadband choice to many consumers for the first time.”
This is how it's supposed to be read

  3. True. I feel like the end goal here is that T-Mobile just wants Sprints 2.5. They’ll say what they need to to get their hands on it as soon as possible. Without it T-Mobile could possibly run the risk of being the slowest in the 5G world. The last thing they want is Sprint passing them with Speeds which at this rate and the way they’ve been rapidly doing upgrades to the towers is very possible.

Plus when it comes to these high band auctions, they’re  really going to have bring the big bags to compete against ATT and Verizon. Sprint is sitting pretty for 5G. Could they use the MMWAve? Yes but it’s no rush they need it.

    Its just my views.

I agree, Sprint in my opinion is now a different company all together which we all know ... The new plans are now perfect I think.. with great features and decent pricing.so, they finally got that right..although risky, but Network vision is paying off sprint should now have the most up-to-date network at the base unit and antennas.. most carriers are still to this day having to go back to sites and update this so Sprint is ahead on that...I think we will see Sprint pass att ans Verizon in average speeds in the next 2Quarters..

  4. This plan could spark off with the other carriers. But this plan essentially covers all of your media needs. Also to top of off a monthly $20 Uber credit as well. It’s a pretty sweet deal. Now if we can work on these taxes and fees.
I think Sprint realizes, whether alone or not, that they can't be so cheap, that they hurt themselves.

  5. You can get a lower cost plan with less features though, that option hasn't gone anywhere. This is just their most feature packed plan and for $65 per person, it's insanely good.

Yup, that's is more attractive then what they have on their post paid imo.. in other words they should be offering this on their post paid plans tax's and fees included and their Kickstarter plans on pre paid no the other way around imo

  6. I can only imagine how great it'll be for folks in these areas to one day wake up and see that they're holding onto LTE far better than before or that where they once had 3G only, they now have LTE service.
I gotta say this about Sprint and what they did here and by all means it isnt the best by any means, but without having band 26 this whole time .. sprint really precisely picked out the tower placements of sites that were added back in 2013/2014.. in some areas where more coverage was needed Sprint placed the towers really high in some others where they added band 25 they placed the tower lower as coverage fill and placed small cells to help coverage.. Sprint did stretch pcs band 25 as far as it go to maintain LTE lol.. but not too many drops to LTE that I have seen on Sprint , but b25 speeds did suffer because of it

  7. Found something interesting that I wanted to see if anyone can identify.

Me and another buddy here locally in El paso have been going out tracking all the Sprint towers and upgrades and ran across a mystery

The building in the first pic has always been believe to have a Sprint tower on it , but after multiple occasions of testing the phone never registered at our being nearby on that building

So the blue and red circles show AT & T and Verizon towers and the black circle in the middle is an unknown Tower which we believed could possibly be Sprint, the tower may be turned off or decommission something happened keep in mind to Google image is from earlier this year

So recently there was an upgrade that happened to that unknown Tower and it was left with just one panel after the upgrade so I wanted to see if any of you guys recognize if this is Sprint indeedb46d266e0af65edcbbf0c63ae566c707.jpg05e8b0deeca7e6037763664a4e4e3dbc.jpg
