That's good to know. My wife's S5 does it very rarely when hers is wired. I sure hope the next update will fix this. Been a real PITA.

I hope the next update is 5.1. :-)

I don't have any burn in yet. (actually didn't think AMOLED could even get burn in?) but with lollipop, my screen comes on randomly while charging and will stay on forever. Really annoying and I can't figure out why it does that. I use wireless charging and since the 5.0 update this screen randomly coming on and staying on has happened.

This happens to me sometimes also. No wireless charging though. I also have the app called Screen Notifications that lights up the screen when you get notifications. I thought it may be that causing it, but there are no notifications at the time.

No burn in here. I've had mine since July.

Updated mine today from 55022 to 55023.

My contract ends 7/1/2016.
For my upgrade check on the Sprint website, it says I can upgrade to a lease or easy pay on 3/1/2016. Or I could upgrade on a new 2 yr contract on 7/1/2016.

After 3 1/2 days without having any voice or text over the weekend throughout parts of today, due to a tower outage 2 blocks or so from me that I'm always connected to. Data worked just fine throughout the outage. It's an old light pole site. So this evening, everything is working again.
So my question is, for a site like this I took pics of, will someone please explain what am I looking at antenna wise, etc... And what would need to be done for a site like this to be upgraded to LTE? And my last question is, since voice and text are now working again, what was done to this tower?
There is another Sprint light pole site about 3 miles away, had some old cables like this one, was recently upgraded to LTE. When I last drove by it, all I noticed was new black cables.

Interesting. I've never seen a tower like that.

With a couple of weeks with this update, its starting to get very irritating, especially when you're working on something, leave it and then come back to it and crash.
On a side note, anyone else annoyed by the placement of B41 antenna on the lower right hand corner? I'm right handed so when I hold my phone with my right hand I usually see that I lose or hold a weak B41 when compared to holding the phone with my left hand. I'm not exaggerating when I say that holding my S5 with my left hand creates an improvement of -12 to -15 dBm improvement on Band 41 when compared to holding the phone with my right hand. Major design flaw! Anyone have this issue?
No issue here. I just tried that out. I also have an otterbox case on it.

I'm gonna be that guy that complains about the lack of removable battery, waterproofing, and potential lower RF, but then buys it anyways. I'm a sucker for camera hype. I use the camera soooo much.

I wish they would have kept the waterproofing also. Another reason why I may wait until the S7. Maybe they will add it back. :-)

I have a way to get the s6/s6 edge just will wait on RF performance reports from users first. The FCC testing isnt looking good though. But it maybe one of those that pull a 180, and perform amazing, but the s6 edge is really catching my eye, but for reality the s6 due to me most likely killing the s6 edge edges.
Yeah, the S6 Edge looks good to me. But I think I'll wait until the S7. Since this is a major change, I'll wait until they work out the kinks.

Has anybody else been having voice call quality issues (delayed voice and lots of audio drop outs) and dropped calls lately?

So, how many of you are going to find some way to get the GS6? And which one, the regular or the Edge?

And looks like 800's starting... 2 800 CDMA updates in market, one in the metro area.
Cool, it will be NICE when they get all those turned on.

I think it's good overall. BUT...ISP's will twist it to make it sound bad and in the end it will cost us more money.

I'm excited to see what their network will look like in 2 years. :-)

That is a weird commercial.

Hoping for more coverage in eastern NC, where they used to have iDEN coverage (my parents live there). :-)

No, not supporting SVLTE is because its a tri-band phone and its not possible, nothing can change that.
Ok. Thanks for the info.

I updated the PRL on my GS5 today and it went from 51104 to 55022. Does that mean the GS5 will now support SVLTE? The spreadsheet on the first post says that this like of PRL's support that.

Unfortunately, Sprint appears to be continuing to publish near term plans as b41 coverage. If this holds with the past, there are frequently other unpublished areas in the same market that do have coverage. This premature publishing is a bad habit that diminishes an awesome amount of progress.
I totally agree 1000%. :-)

Yes TMo is worthless in Eastern NC. I'm from Greenville and my family owns a farm near Bethel. Greenville is a large city, Bethel is super rural. TMo has 2G only in the entire area, Sprint has nearly complete LTE coverage, including some B41. TMo isnt any good until you get as far west as Raleigh.
A friend of mine used to sell TMo in Greenville and just recently moved to Wilmington and still works for TMo. He never had problems getting sales though, people saw the commercials, came into the store, and signed up, never asking about LTE, just assuming they had coverage in the area, and he got his commission whether those customers ended up happy or not. Their marketing and spin is top notch.
That's interesting. Sprint's coverage map shows they only have roaming in the Bethel area.

The Sprint coverage map used to show my area as a Spark Turbo area. And now it doesn't. Just an interesting observation. I'm at area code 44134.

I keep getting force closes of the contacts app. Getting annoyed by it. Anyone else experience it?
Same here. It just started a few days ago (I've had lollipop since it was released). Everytime I've seen the message, I have just unlocked the phone (I just have swipe unlock).

My phone reset (or seemed to) on me last night. The only thing I was actively doing was running a stop watch to time something. The only thing I noticed was the yellow Sprint Spark loading screen and then it was back to the home screen. I opened the stop watch and it was stuck at 0. I hit reset for the stop watch and it was back to normal.
I did a reset after that, but it was just weird.

Anybody know if you can activate the different profiles and guest mode (functionality of Lollipop) with this update?
