Yeah, I'm glad for "unlimited" data, but I never go over 2GB a month. So I have no problem with something that's been in their terms of service for a while. :-)
-
Still no update for me. :-(

If you're getting an alert, it means your device connected to LTE when it wasn't already -- even if the disconnection from LTE was brief, perhaps even faster than the screen could update. I was trying to implement something that prevented false alerts for brief disconnects but it failed miserably, so the alerts are still very "dumb" for now until I can teach myself a better way to do it.

Thanks for this info. That's probably what my phone is doing.

Does anyone know why my Signal Check Pro will alert me of a 4G connections (chime and vibrate) when I'm already on 4G?

Just wait for the rest of those 3G accepts to go LTE, that is going to be impressive!
I hope so!

I'm glad to see a lot of Cleveland acceptance in the past week. :-)

LTE just turned on at my house, close to the corner of Broadview and Brookpark in Parma.

Well Cleveland isn't a launched market yet, you shouldn't expect anything yet.

The base station ID (BID) of 2 Sprint sites that cover where I live have changed to numbers in the 45K range. I also saw workers putting up new antennas on one of those sites a few weeks ago. The sites are not even marked 3G accepted yet though.

My GS3 is like that also. Never found a way to change it.

New update! Supposedly fixes the VM notifications.

What kind of issues are you having?

Today, outdoors I get LTE but indoors (where I had LTE 2 days ago), back on 3G.
Now the LTE and 3G signal has been very low the last few days.
-
Yes, they still have a lot of sites to touch in Cleveland proper.

I've had my S3 since October 2012 and I also have not had any signal or charging port issues. I've never even heard of a charging port issue.

I have been getting LTE since about April 2nd, with LTE speeds consistently above advertised (around 9 Mbps). Also, latency is as advertised (around 58 ms). All this while indoors (about half bars). It gets better outdoors.
I'm in 44124 area, Landerbrook drive.

I think that's more so for joining a Framily plan than buying the GS5.

AFAIK, you cannot change Sensorly speed test servers. It is what it is. Painful and generally inaccurate. Especially on pings.

Yes, I noticed and is exactly why I was asking. Thanks for the info. :-)

Does anyone know how to change what server Sensorly does it's speedtest from?

I work in Mayfield Hts, can't wait!

I like this idea. It's kinda what VZW is already doing with it's 700 Mhz spectrum.

"Sprint will rely on its CDMA network and HD Voice technology for voice calling services for the foreseeable future, said Sprint Chief Network Officer John Saw. Saw said Sprint is investing in Voice over LTE technology, but doesn't have a timeline for deploying the service. "I think there's a lot of talk about VoLTE, but not very many people have rolled it out in a scale that you would need to sustain a good voice service," Saw said. "I think we continue to explore the opportunities of VoLTE, and I need to make sure that I have a big enough footprint with LTE before we can even roll it out. But we have been doing some tests and working with our vendors to explore the capabilities of VoLTE. So we are investing in it, but we really don't have a timeline for rollout."

My Kies finally said there was an update for my GS3 today (ND8). Update took about 30 minutes. Everything seems fine so far.
