  1. Does anyone know if the Wifi Connect router is limited to 1 router per account? So lets say you have an ED 5 line plan that is just made up of 5 individuals living at different addresses but of course 1 lines is the main account holder. Can each line on the 5 line ED plan request the Wifi Connect router or is it only 1 per account?
  2. I don't know if this is just me but if there is anything that needs major improvement on the Note 5 in the Marshmallow upgrade is that Samsung needs to jack up the volume of the speaker. I swear whispers produce a louder sound than the max volume on this guy. When I plug in my aux cable in the car to hear podcasts, not only do I have to jack up the radio volume button but also set the Note 5 system volume near the max. There is an audio mod on XDA forums that modifies the mixer gain xml values but that requires root which I have not done yet. I just wish there was a way to replace the stock file with the mod without needing to root. mixer_gains_stock.xml mixer_gains_mod.xml
  3. Well ur right u should get some cred. However you're telling me that the second you installed the Android 6 preview you didn't notice the sudden drop in LTE coverage? I sure as hell would have at least confirmed back on Lollipop if it was still working...thats all. I wouldn't have put up with 4 months of no LTE coverage. What I am saying is that it shouldn't have taken so long to figure it out unless your telling me that the first version of the Android 6 preview didn't butcher LTE coverage. Putting experimental software on your phone is always risky and if it was going to get rid of my LTE coverage...sorry but I would instantly give up as being a guinea pig and went back to Lollipop. I know what areas I get LTE so it would be very quick to figure out what was going on. Software bugs do happen. But anyways..at least you figured out your issue and hopefully learned something.
  4. Wow you sure do things rather hastily without eliminating variables. Prior to the Nexus 5X on your Nexus 5 you must have known the Sprint LTE coverage in the different areas you travel prior to installing the Android 6 preview. Didn't you find it very strange that it was perhaps the software that was causing your LTE woes and not the Sprint service itself. If that happened to me, I would have at least flashed the Nexus 5 back to Lollipop just to confirm if the LTE woes was really Sprint service that was messed up or not.
  5. Tmobile is not going to just invest all that money into 700 MHz equipment only to decommision the network 3-4 years from now. Besides Tmobile is still actively lookign to acquire more 700A licenses and it can take another few years to deploy equipment in those markets once they acquire that spectrum. Its just not feasible and financial sense to dump the network after just constructing it. What I think is a better idea for Tmobile to utilize a 700A and 600 MHz LTE network and perhaps prioritize folks on 700A first until its overloaded and then shove folks to the 600 MHz network which will keep a great LTE coverage network. We all understand which post you are referring to about by @mozamcrew on the idea of selling 700 MHz to Sprint but there is a difference between a dream and reality. Also there was so extreme statements that you made about Tmobile selling all of its PCS spectrum to Sprint except for a mere 5x5 block....which doesn't make any sense since it is currently being used in their network which I believe what AJ is partially eluding to in terms of "fantasy" land. Mid band is still very important to any major carrier so why would Tmobile even give up any mid band spectrum? In fact despite Verizon's interest in the 600 MHz spectrum they have stressed that they prefer to scoop up more mid band AWS spectrum to bolster their network rather than the 600 MHz spectrum.
  6. I would strongly suggest that u talk to a sprint associate at a retail store to get the full details. To me if u buy the device outright u are not signing up for a new contract. I hate to bust ur balls but LTE should not be used as your home ISP. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  7. Don't know but from the quote I posted in my last post it seems like if you upgrade your device which to me interprets Sprint Lease, Easy Pay or 2 year upgrade. Just because you opt to do a lease does not mean you are not upgrading your phone...you still are. The only difference between a lease and the other options is price and whether you have to return the device. My guess it would apply to all unlimited plans regardless if its SERO, Everything Data, My Way, All-in, Framily, Family Pack, etc but who knows. Maybe someone that works at Sprint can chime in and confirm this.
  8. No way is Sprint after the 700 MHz spectrum despite the B12 support. They would have to deploy new antennas and RRUs for a subset of markets and not to mention certain markets still have TV station interference issues. Sprint is getting hell just from the San Bernardino 800 MHz reband effort and Mexico/Canada IBEZ alone. Most of the prized markets for 700A block have been scooped up by Tmobile already that I just don't see it.
  9. Well...there goes the idea that Verizon will sit out the 600 MHz auction after today's article even though Verizon is more interested in AWS spectrum at this point. Not surprised that Verizon would take any chance to gobble up any remaining low band spectrum that would be available in a long time. AT&T will most likely participate in the auction to keep up with Verizon and Tmobile is confirmed to be in the auction. We will see in several years how the long term strategy decision for Sprint to skip the 600 MHz auction pays off. It just feels weird that Sprint is so confident in their low band spectrum portfolio that they don't need to add 600 MHz to their portfolio. Obviously Marcelo has a different opinion than Dan Hesse has on the need for low band spectrum to Sprint's spectrum portfolio because I remember Hesse pushing hard for regulation on low band spectrum and the need for the smaller carriers to compete for coverage. I believe if Hesse were still running things, sprint would be participating in the 600 mhz auction.
  10. I would love Tmobile to buy all the AB, Continuum, and Cavalier licenses eventually. But if Tmobile can acquire all the AB licenses soon that would be a great addition to their 700 MHz network. That way Tmobile can stagger their 700 MHz deployments.
  11. Yes it looks like it will be if you upgrade your device post 10/16. They didn't mention any plans exempt from this. If you are currently under contract (Easy Pay, Lease, 2 year contract) prior to 10/16, the new terms don't apply until you get a new device. How convenient when the new single line $70 plans were launched. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-start-throttling-unlimited-plan-customers-if-they-use-more-23-gb-dat/2015-10-16
  12. I would certainly welcome that offer. But for me, I do international travelling so I would much rather have the unlimited 2G speeds since $30/GB is still pretty steep IMO.
  13. Damn...why couldnt this offer occur 2 weeks ago when I upgraded to the Note 5 in concurrence with the Samsung Pay wireless charger promo. Well I think overall I am still happy with the timing of my purchase since I did get in on the free wireless charger (priced at $50 retail) but more importantly lock in for 2 years uncapped unlimited data which is pretty important to lock in before 10/16 when the new 23 GB data cap kicks in.
  14. I can't wait to see the latest update of SCP and hopefully most of the Marshallow bugs are squished out.
  15. Still wish Open World provided at least 2 GB of high speed data before charging overages. Went to Mexico back in Aug and tried to use the "high speed" data but could not connect to the high speed network so it was pretty much useless. I think for now I'd probably use Global Roaming until things improve and not worry about overages. Don't care about the calling as much given that there are so many texting apps out there like hangouts or imessage. I assume with Open World you don't get free 1 GB of high speed data in Europe so that is an instant deal breaker to me. So if I were to travel to Europe and wanted to use data, I can't just add the Open World option and just use the 1 GB high speed option without the need for calling. So if that is true then any international traveler will usually opt for the Global Roaming unless they want to pay $30/GB for data.
  16. Got it. Thanks for clearing it up. Oh yeah.... The screenshots that display hosted by Hawaiian Telecom and University of Hawaii just screams thousands of miles of Pacific Ocean from the continental US rather than local servers .
  17. Mark...why are all ur speedtest pics with such high ping? Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks. I'll let all you guinea pigs test it out and trust that you guys can iron out the bugs with Mike for a new release.
  19. Perhaps Sprint can settle and increase the amount to 12 GB or something.
  20. Looks like nonprofits are finally going up an arms about the impending Wimax shutdown and attempting to sue. I say good riddance to Wimax and I can't wait for that network to be shutdown forever. It takes up precious spectrum that is better used for deploying a 2nd B41 LTE carrier. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/nonprofits-using-wimax-sue-sprint-alleging-violation-contracts-ahead-networ/2015-10-15
  21. Normally the commitment for any leased phone at any of the major carriers is 24 months. But yeah in your case since you don't want to commit funds to a new phone what you did is the cheaper alternative. Ehh IMO, I think I would have opted for the ETF option than to add on a tablet and be committed to that for 2 years at $240 and not to mention minimum of $30 in data plan fees depending on how soon you would be able to sell the tablet. I don't think tablets in general are high resale value. But then again I might have left out an important detail which is you may not be able to port your existing phone number to another line at Sprint. Normally you can port and keep your existing number only if its to another carrier.
  22. I assume to turn AP mode, you can do this with the stock Sprint firmware? I assume you can
  23. +1...yes if you have a qualifying Sprint plan that can be upgraded at BB, I would highly suggest taking advantage of that promo with the $100 BB GC while you still can.
