You can now change band priority and enable or disable without knowing your msl, assuming you have root. Use an app called nexus 5 field test mode. It's an awesome app. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I'm not sure a repair ticket will do much. If it's most of the area experiencing problems, which it seems is the case, I would bargain it has to do with NV. Maybe they are preparing for LTE integration?

whenever you post a speed test result include the ping time as well. If you get a pretty good 3g test and your ping is less than 100ms, you may be on a backhaul updated site. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

You should always take what a rep says with a grain of salt, which you might be doing, but that timing could be close. It really does seem that after all the activity we have seen we should start seeing some lte. I was able to get a free tmobile SIM on there website during a promotion. If I would have put it into a qualifying tablet I would have gotten the free data.
