  1. He walked away from me when I did it. That spoke volumes.
  2. Apple has made a name for itself but the Apple model hasn't caught fire for these other OS's so I guess bribery is a way to get their attention. Nokia especially has garnered the most success from this venture, but if it wants to gain greater marketshare with the commitment it's made with WP. Both it and MS are going to have to keep the momentum moving.
  3. A year ago, Sprint was the only carrier to integrate GV into its lineup. Google may be looking for additional partners. Quote: "We are having discussions with other carriers about this," http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57403524-94/google-voice-eyeing-carrier-tie-ups-beyond-sprint/?tag=cnetRiver
  4. An LTE iphone is almost a foregone conclusion when it debuts this fall. Here's one analysts take on how Sprint will fare. http://www.fiercewir...able/2012-03-26
  5. The WP platform is getting more looks now that Nokia has a successful phone line up with the Lumia series. However, latest polls show that people are not attracted to the OS due to a weak ecosystem. MS & Nokia hope to remedy that. Quote: "only 37 percent of developers are keen to make apps for Windows Phone, showed the latest IDC/Appcelerator survey. That number, slightly down from the previous survey, compared with the 89 percent interested in iPhone and 79 percent in Android phones. "Mobile developers' interest for the Windows platform has been for the least very lukewarm over the last two years, with no sign of improvement."..."Microsoft and Nokia said they would invest a total of 18 million euros ($23.9 million) into a new mobile application development program." http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/26/net-us-windowsphone-idUSBRE82P05Z20120326

    Welcome to the party.
  7. For those of us who are visual learners, here's a graph that shows the benchmark performance of the One X (EVO). Although this is a Qualcomm test, it's still impressive if performance holds up with the final build. http://www.theverge.com/2012/3/25/2902020/htc-one-x-att-benchmark-qualcomm-snapdragon-s4
  8. Could this be the GSlll announcement date? http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/25/samsung-phones-4u-march-30th-uk-event/
  9. The phone was certainly capable to handle it. It's a shame that Samsung waited till the phone was over a year old before it got GB. That's when I decided no Sammy phones unless it's a Nexus device. Even now I not so sure. The jury is still out for me about Samsung's promise about updating phones in a timely manner.
  10. Good points, assuming that Clear get's its network turned on in time, I think it will draw plenty of business now that LS2 is out of the picture. I believe that many firms are just sitting on the fence waiting to see if Clear can actually produce which I can understand since many were left holding the bag with LS2 signing so many firms and never had anything to show for it. Not that it was LS2's fault but Clear doesn't have a great track record itself in the funding and build out department.
  11. Wow, must be good to be a Texan. I wish Ericsson was in my neighborhood they are kicking butt. But alas, I have Samsung doing my region. The slowest provider of NV rollouts so far although it's market is the largest but hasn't the population centers that Ericsson and A/L have. They don't even have to do the upper mid-west down to Wyoming since Sprint has no native coverage in that vast swath of territory. Now I now what the Phoenix people feel like.
  12. It all comes down to who owns the name? Sprint or HTC?
  13. Only five more months before the New BB10 phone is launched. Will anyone notice?
  14. A thread too. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/528-clearwire-data-usage-increasing/page__fromsearch__1
  15. I was at BB today and took a Note for a test drive. Everything about it is great until you hold it to your ear. My son said I looked stupid holding a tablet to my face. If visual phone calls were more common, it would be perfect for that.
