Random question. Does anyone know when sprint's network will show that it is better than its competitors?

What is "better"? Faster speeds? Wider coverage? Best in building penetration? Better is different things for different people. Considering that different people have different priorities I don't think Sprint's network will ever "show that it is better".

No problems with my G2's GPS, and I play Ingress, which relies heavily on it. It gets a better fix than my Nexus 7.

The less than reliable GPS is why I went from the G2 to the Nexus 5. The bad GPS was messing with my Ingress.

There is a setting in Sprint Zone to not be forwarded to SZ when calling CS. I think, been on the Nexus for a bit.

In the APK breakdown for the newest release it was mentioned that there is some code in there hinting at burst mode.

Thats completely against policy. Corporate employees have been written up and threatened with termination if this practice continues by upper management. Though several retailers and shady corporate reps in Indianapolis are still doing it i know.

Same at Best Buy, it is strictly forbidden to add people to Framily plans on our own.

If you're not unlocked/rooted, then yes. It's the easiest, cleanest way to upgrade.

You don't need to be rooted/unlocked to do the OTA yourself. Easy is relative.

Legacy equipment is not necessarily removed immediately. There are sites near my parents in Kansas City that still have the legacy equipment on the tower, even though it hasn't been used for well more than a year.

A press event to announce NV "completion" would be a terrible idea. For current customers and potential new customers that aren't in completed areas it would be very irritating to see a grand announcement while they still have not seen the NV love.
