  1. I think he was joking. I don't really know, i never get his sense of humor but he put a winky face at the end so i don't think he meant it in a mean way Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  2. Band 41 has really turned things around for sprint at sporting events. I used to have a band 25 device and whenever i was at a sport event i couldnt send picture mail or use data. Now with band 41 i never have problems with data at sport events Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  3. Did anyone cover this yet. Sprint won the award for best network at kauffman stadium. Impressive considering how easy it can be to get congested at sporting events http://www.rootmetrics.com/us/rsr/kauffman-stadium/2015/2H Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  4. I just won't respond to anymore posts about it in this thread then Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  5. I had band 41 most of the time too. My problem was that in the part of town i was in, it was all clearwire 41. Do u know whos band 41 u were connected too Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  6. I think i get it now. I was just a little confused. However one thing i still need explained is why sprint has not deployed 41 on there own sites yet. I get not puting them on sites colocated with clear but i mean the entire highway i was on didnt have 41 even in the city. Even in areas far away from clear signal. Just 1 single band25/26 antenna on the tower. Is there any reason for that. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  7. So what will happen the day sprint shuts down clearwire. So far no sprint sites i passed had band 41 panels and there were no clearwire conversions that i knew of on the interstate i took. When sprint shuts down clearwire, Nashville will be without a band 41 network for some time until sprint deploys 41. sprint would have to convert all of these clear sites and add 41 panels to the other sites within the coming weeks to avoid this Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  8. Ya i can't say what road we took up as i was the passenger and not paying attention to the roads. But i was very impressed with the coverage on the highway. Almost never lost lte and netflix streamed perfectly. My two problems were driving through Nashville because i was stuck on slow clearwire 41 the whole time. I also noticed none of the sprint sites had band 41 panels so i dont know what sprints gonna do when clearwire is shut down. My other problem was on the small towns. Everytime we stopped somewhere for a bite or gas or jus to hang for a couple hours, i was always parked on slow band 26. Otherwise coverage was fine. And yes as you say with us being from atlanta, we know sprint can do better Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  9. No complaints with the network in atlanta. I amazed at how far it has come. The last few days though i have been traveling through Tennessee and kentucky and while the network did good in some spots there were others where the speed wasnt to impressive. Im not mad at sprints network in these areas as i expect coverage to be less than average. Some areas had 1 site covering an entire town and I only made the joke because those are the speeds i have been dealing with the last couple days in those areas Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  10. You've got better lte speeds then me Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  11. Even netflix isnt as bad. Netflix uses only what it needs which depending on the situation isnt always a lot. Speedtest used the maximum amount of data it can pull from the network. Both definitely cause congestion but AJ was right about just how bad speedtest is Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  12. Alright so I read a post by AJ where he stated that the speedtest app heavily congested the network. I believed it would congest the network a little bit what i found was quite surprising. This first image is of the first speedtest i took. For the first speedtest i was using only 1 device. I was on band 25 at the time The next two pictures are 2 seperate devices. I tested both of them on speedtest at the exact same time with both devices still on band 25. The speeds went down considerably after adding another device. After the 2 devices finished i ran another speedtest again on just 1 device and the speed went back to normal. I ran this test multiple times and came up with the same results. I can only imagine how low the speed would get if we added a third device. This just shows how easy it is for a network to get congested especially a 5x5 network. As much as i love unlimited data, this test is proof that it is bad for the network and probably should be faded out soon. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  13. True if it was a 10mhz or 15 mhz id say take it. 5mhz just isnt cutting it on band 25 or 26 anymore Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  14. Ya i dont know how but tmobile always has amazing snr. Even on towers where sprint and tmobile are co-located tmobile almost always blows sprints snr out of the water. And ya for me it's really hit or miss to use a 130 dbm signal. Sometimes it works no prob but other times i misewell have no connection Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  15. Ya i have a tmobile tablet and i go lots of places where they dont have a hspa network only edge and lte and and since the tablet isnt compatible with edge it will hold onto lte until about -125 to -130 dbm. The bright side is that i hardly lose lte that way but its not really real signal either cuz its pretty much unusable Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  16. Part of this could that the device recognizes that lte is the only signal availible. That happens on my phone. I connect to a -120 dbm clearwire signal where sprints coverage is bad but if clearwire signal gets too low then i get no signal since there is no 3g network available . I think since the phone knows there is no other network to connect to it just holds onto the week lte signal. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  17. Also a possibility Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  18. That's what they did originally. They showed regular speed even when u were being throttled. The FCC made them stop though so now if your throttled then it will show ur throttled speed in the test Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  19. Ya john will trash talk rootmetrics when they rate his network poorly but then when this barely heard of test gets released and he sees hes on top, hes the first to praise it Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  20. Ya the plan rating could have definitely been higher. I also don't understand how there network was that much worse than everyone else. Let alone tmobile. All 3 carriers were within points of each other yet sprint was like 7 or 8 points behind Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  21. I was pretty sure sensorly was exempted too. I could swear that it didnt count againsts my accounts usage. Ill have to check again. Thats beside the point though that tmobile is prioritizing data. It doesn't give smaller music companies a chance if there not on the music freedon list. People would rather be on the company that doesnt count againsts there data limit Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  22. Sprint could hardly use it though. It's not compatible with any of there current spectrum holdings Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  23. Tmobile just posted this on there twitter page. Apparently they are the best wireless carrier of choice. Whoever this company is that tested, the article says they tested 6 cities so it's no surprise tmobile didn't get a worse score Heres the article http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-phone-carriers,review-3066.html?cmpid=SOC_SM_TMSGD1RNKN_PVZ1N50CKQ12447&003=6642122 Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  24. Sorry i couldnt help it lol. I dont usually do that but that was the first time i got speeds over 100 so i needed to enjoy the moment while it lasted Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
