Do you have the new updated PRL with channel 487 on 800SMR?
They turned off our few sites that with 800SMR as well. I can still see them on the spectrum analyzer but you can't connect to any of them. One of my lines on the other side of town also notified me that she's back to roaming when she's at work. So there's a case of it's now costing them money since they turned it off. I for one am glad they turned it off for now here as they only had a couple sites lit up and it caused more problems that it fixed. Leave it off until they get around to the other 800 capable sites.
I've been running digiblurs 512 prl and I'm not getting anything. I'll flash again and report backI still have Shentel 800 running on channel 476. No issues yet. Works fine.
If you lost 800 in Sprint territory in Washington, DC, but then move into Shentel territory, you probably have to do a PRL update to make the phone scan in Shentel territory.
Edit: signal check must be the issue. Went to the debug screen and I'm on 476 but signal check isn't reporting it. Thanks for the replies

Either I broke 1x800 on my phone or it's turned off everywhere. I'm in md but I can't connect to any 800 sites. I used to but not anymore. Loaded a custom prl and nothing. In shentel territory now and still nothing. Any suggestions

I was there in late August for the Corvette show. Really good coverage all thru the fairgrounds. I mapped driving in thru the old army barracks gate but then shut it off since I didn't want to kill the battery walking around.
I'm assuming 1x800 was available

I will be visiting shentel land this Friday to visit Carlisle (I love the car show lol) I'll be doing any sensorly mapping I can.
-
My guess is we're either losing native coverage like always, or this has something to do with that uscc transaction in the Chicago area.
-
The big two have something tmobile and Sprint don't have. It's a large native footprint. Even though most people won't need it, the maps thing is a huge selling point. The combination of these two networks would do nothing to help the footprint. Just my two cents.

Ah ok, I was going to be surprised if any DCPS High School had that many students. Hopefully, if they can get that tower online to help relieve some stress on the tower.
Yeah it's parkdale and there's pretty much one tower that serves the school. All traffic from the school good through that one, I can occasionally bounce to another site.

Is this in the District?
Riverdale...pg county

Are you guys sure the wrong location isn't being given? I've seen this happen

For the last couple of weeks I haven't been getting notifications for the Network Vision Site Acceptance Report Updates thread even though it still shows I'm following. It's the same on the website and on Tapatalk 4.
Is anyone else having this same problem? I'll probably try to Unfollow then Follow again to see if that helps, just wondering if it's more widespread than just me.
Yeah I have this problem too. Not such a big deal but it exists
-
That explains it.
The last time I did this was at night and I got high pings..I'll check again tonight to see if it has been fixed
-
Interesting, that could be an issue with the site.
Just tried again. Low pings. Download speeds are low but there is a high school in my sector with 2200 students. Hopefully they add more capacity

Yes, CA is the only way you can get the benefits of 10MHz without shutting down the people with Band 25 only devices from accessing the G block LTE carrier.

So would Sprint actually do this? I feel they should since there is a drop off in speed when leaving 2600 coverage and this would help their indoor speed and image against vzw and att. My two cents
-
That may be a site which has 4G enabled but 3G hasn't been migrated.
What market are you in?
Sent from my Sprint iPad using Tapatalk HD
Dc. The site is 3g/4g accepted. Legacy panels removed
-
I'm having this same thing from a tower that is 4g accepted. Occasionally I'll turn LTE off to check 3G speeds and pings are in the 500s with speeds around .3-.7mbps
-
That high frequency wouldn't penetrate a piece of paper

So I'm guessing they're getting rid of the upgrade now thing where u could buy out the rest of your contract?
-
It makes absolutely no sense to relase a single band LTE device at this point. No way you look at it. Smh @ sprint

I live in the DC area. So they're working on LTE on the clearwire sites?nothing "launched" but I've seen work being done on clearwire sites in the dc area. We are a WiMAX market.
yes I've seen workers on a few clearwire sites around here. One site it looked like the antennas were unplugged then the next day and brand new RRU was up there. I'm assuming it was dual mode LTE/WiMAX

I find that most stealth sites just look silly. The fake pine and palm trees are really ridiculous when you have this lone palm tree sticking 150 feet above the rest of the tree line with proportionately stubby leaves compared to its size. The flag pole sites I have seen are so thick with comically massive flags to attempt to blend in with their size. Personally, I like nice monopole tower. I am a tech guy to the core so when I see a high tech looking panel with fiber optic cables running down it makes me feel warm inside.
Are you sure it isn't the radiation making you feel warm inside lol. But I like the monopole look as well, helps to be able to clearly identify carriers.

It didn't help that Sprint's texting acts up a lot. I used to only text using a vzw prl just to get stuff on time.
-
Just happened to me for the second night. Had to load a vzw prl just to text

Every phone does this.
i know but it seems the s4 does it much more. im talking up to a 10dbm drop when i touch it
