it varies tower to tower depending on the load. Just like in my area (Riverdale) two towers close by one I can pull down 2mbps while the other I can barely hit 200kbpsEvery time i see in the sponsors map the 3g compkletes i see that dc is almost done 3g wize should anywhere u go have good speed? i dont live in central dc and never go cause i cant im only 16 and cant drive so i just want to know in general does it go over 2mbps?
-
I do. if u can I say buy. just because it's guaranteed to be at $7.30 when Softbank buys its stake from some shareholders if you choose to sell at that timeHonest question -- does anyone here own Sprint stock?
I'm considering a buy - and have been for a while - and earnings calls like this with the robust Q&A at the end really have me thinking that in 12-18 months, this is going to be a great stock to own. Buy low, hold, etc.

I've been seeing tmobiles new panels popping up all over the Washington, D.C. Area. I was even able to talk to one of the construction crew members.
-
I've always had problems texting with Sprint, even after nv

yes sprint paid a flat rate for wimax but for lte it would be usage basedSprint paid a flat rate for unlimited WiMax usage. The details are in a Sprint press release when they agreed to partner with Clear until 2015.
There's no way S will put 2500 LTE on all their towers. Overkill.

I can say I've seen a definite improvement. From around -95dbm rssi to around -84dbm

Clear wire is beyond irritating right now. Softbank said they wont let sprint pay over $2.97/share. They're talking about they want $5-$8/share. I wish sprint would just hang them out to dry and use that majority vote to block anything they wanna do! I hope sprint is able to work something out with dish one day

Now I regret not buying clear stock when I had the chance

I'll check if my phone connects to channel 476 tomorrow.I don't know... I don't see another SMR SID with DC listed though. So maybe so?
-
Do u know if dc is included?

this enables smr in the Maryland area!Hmm.... let's see how well you guys are at reading:
Geo:11 SID/NID 22435/65535 Sprint Nextel - Baltimore MD; Cumberland MD; Hagerstown MD Added with:
Pref RoamInd:None EVDO-Enabled:Yes

Edit: and evdo roaming?

BothDC proper or the suburbs? I get terrible in building coverage at 14th and H and I would love to try out the indoor coverage at 800 Mhz.
-
Gnex running a custom rom. Maybe that's it. For me it's been reporting my 1x signal. I can confirm that tower I listed in my first post isn't broadcasting LTE although dark purple is around it.
-
No I've done it multiple times in that one spot
-
Idk if this has been brought up or I'm just wrong but I've noticed sensorly reporting whatever you 1x signal is when mapping LTE. In an area connected to smr I had full bars but a weak LTE signal around -115, sensorly reported this as full bars LTE. I believe this is the reason a site in the dc area was mislabeled as having 4g complete. For reference this is site WA23XC308
-
If you are able to load a prl on your phone, try loading the custom one in the download section. 800 is all over dc but inaccessible unless you have a prl designed to access it. In Waco and Chicago the prl is set up for them to connect but not anywhere else. In my area which is DC almost every nv tower is broadcasting 800 MHz but isn't shown as complete on the maps.

until they adjust the downtilt it has pretty good range. im connected to a site thats at least 3 miles away in college park. and this site isnt on a tall tower but on a rooftop. im surprised by the range.Anyone know the range these LTE towers signals can transmitt (as in distance) because according to sensorly I have three towers as of now transmitting LTE all with 2 miles of my home one less than a mile but I get no LTE signal until I travel to the purple dot on the map.
-
you're in the same area as me. I never received a text or anything from sprint talking about upgrades but I've heard other people haveSprint sent me a message back on Twitter saying that they are upgrading around the 20737 area but haven't officially announced it yet. I know the area I live in is horrible but if I go down to 410 it's like night and day.
-
Yeah I'm just excited lol. I can finally use my phone. I see someone mapped on sensorly near Riverdale and college park, on kenilworth ave the same tower I'm connected to.
-
I think our launch is coming real soon!
-
Guys! I have LTE at my house!!!!!!! Check sensorly around Riverdale Maryland. It's close to college park and greenbelt
Ok it's not up yet but I guess in thirty it'll show. And I'm seeing more dots in college park and other areas around here

Considering some people will be stuck with a 1900 lte only device hopefully they change their mind. Also I think it wasn't implemented earlier because of sprint's backhaul position.

that 800mhz rru looks huge. do u guys know for sure if it can handle 1x and lte? hopefully it does so they won't have to come back to install 800 lte
