  1. Yeah. This seems like a very thorough review by knowledgeable people. However... the answers either matter or they don’t. It’s the way the town runs. I forgot to add 27 to that list... I wonder what Sprint is claiming it can accomplish on its own without a merger.
  2. Wow... I would especially like to see the answers to questions 8, 16, 17, 24, 26, 28 and 38 on the Sprint document. FCC don’t play...
  3. Total Equipment Protection (TEP) has been rebranded and updated as “Sprint Complete”: http://newsroom.sprint.com/sprint-complete-provides-worry-free-wireless-protection-with-enhanced-service-and-repair-and-personalized-on-demand-tech-support.htm Some pretty substantial changes to the program.
  4. Sprint is offering a trade-in Credit of $41.67/Month when you trade-in qualifying devices. This applies to existing customers. If you paid off your current device early, would it be $899 Total?
  5. Me too! When I first saw the wireless specs for the Series 3 Cellular (UMTS and LTE) and noticed it lacked support for CDMA, I wasn’t sure initially that Sprint would support Voice on it. As I heard the story through the grapevine, Apple showed up with the Cellular version of the Watch and told Sprint to “figure it out”. Sprint wound up engineering a VoIP solution from scratch so it could support the Watch.
  6. The Watch doesn’t actually support CDMA. It supports UMTS and LTE. So Sprint had to cobble together a VoIP solution (a “Calling Plus” of sorts) in order to support voice on the Watch. I imagine this will become true VoLTE when Sprint finally launches it?
  7. This FierceWireless Article has a comment from Sprint on eSIM support: “Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile were named by Apple as supporting its eSIM action. Sprint said that it would support the technology later this year. Apple also added that eSIM technology would be added to its new iPhones through a software update later this year.” Perhaps once VoLTE launches?
  8. What’s the additional product? Is it an internal or external add-on module?
  9. No word as far as I know. Perhaps someone will ask Sprint for comment in the coming days. In the meantime, you can use an App like Grasshopper, Sideline or Ring Central for a second line on a device.. You can also port a number to Google Voice and use that as a second line on a device: https://support.google.com/voice/answer/1065667?hl=en
  10. According to the App, “Payment options will be available starting on pre-order day.” Currently, only Full Retail Price is shown.
  11. Very nice! ? This is already live in the App.
  12. Yeah. Hope so. Sprint probably can't say anything official about it for a little while. Seems like it supports the same bands. Have a look here: https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ iPhone XS Model A1920 (GSM) Model A1920 (CDMA) iPhone XS Max Model A1921 (GSM) Model A1921 (CDMA) The CDMA and GSM versions have the same model number. One model to support all the major US Carriers? There are additional model numbers listed for International versions. Japan, China and Hong Kong get their own specific model numbers.
  13. Phil starts talking about Dual SIM at 1:17:32 in the Keynote (https://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2018/) Sprint is not listed as a supporting carrier on the screen at 1:18:57. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile are listed.
  14. No mention of it on the Apple site... Guess we’ll have to wait for word from Sprint... But they do support 600 MHz (Band 71) for T-Mobile/Roaming. iPhone XS specs: https://www.apple.com/iphone-xs/specs/ Cellular and Wireless Model A1920* FDD‑LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 32, 66, 71) TD‑LTE (Bands 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46) CDMA EV-DO Rev. 15. But wait... there’s more! Leaks Reveal Storage Capacities and Colors for the Upcoming iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR ”As shared by Steve Troughton-Smith on Twitter, the iPhone XR will come in Black, White, Red, Yellow, Coral, and Blue color options, and be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage capacities.” And “Additionally, the leak reveals all colors and storage sizes for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, and in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold colorways.” I’ll probably do the XS 256 in either Space Gray or Silver.
  16. According to: https://www.macrumors.com/2018/09/12/apple-leaks-iphone-xs-xs-max-and-xr-names/ It’s "iPhone XS," "XS Max," and "XR". The link also gives info on the new Apple cases for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max: silicon and leather, with midnight blue, white, black, stone, and Product RED colors. I’m planning to upgrade from my 8 to an XS. Praying for HPUE and 600 MHz to be supported. Of course, this also begs the question... where does the device nomenclature go from here?
  17. Links to a good writeup on the Hospitality version of Sprint’s Magic Box and how it’s being deployed.
  18. Perhaps we’ll hear something after the new iPhones launch this week?
  19. Yes. The monthly filing that Sprint submits to the FCC was just posted on September 4th: https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/1090418102589/800 MHz Monthly Report for Sept 2018.pdf
  20. Sprint CEO Michel Combes to Speak Sept. 14 at Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference Interested to hear what he has to say. This will be a couple of days after the new iPhone is announced.
