I am on everything data 1500 along with a few others here. Reasons to stay: corporate discount, you have many lines, 200 more MB per month of roaming data, 5g access, no VPN or gaming limits, full resolution on videos, 50 GB per month hotspot, Hulu and or AAA. Post on Reddit for reasons against, mainly $$.

Personally waiting for market to be converted before committing to any carrier. Will then look at new plans.

Secondary rounds of layoffs will hit economy harder. 2nd wave of Covid-19 would be worse but if we can quickly ramp up testing to billions per year we should be fine and start to recover. Best wireless prices will be then.

We’re on the same plan I believe but we don’t get any hotspot. Are you saying you get 50gb hotspot with your plan? Hotspot is the only reason I would want to switch plans.

  2. I know this may not be the place for this question but I’m not sure where else to ask. First sprint sent out the covid-19 email a few weeks ago saying everyone will receive 20gb of hotspot and other things. Does this apply to every sprint plan and account or only newer plans? I believe we’re on the “Everything data” plan that we have had for years. Second does anyone have an opinion on if we should keep this plan or lock in a different plan before things change?

So I force my sprint note 10 plus on tmobile network. I no longer get cap at 5 mbps down or up. I did speed test 110 mbps now. This great sign of allowing us sprint people first on there network take more advantage. This is in BALTIMORE MARKET.

I was roaming on b2 and b71 in the St Louis area and was still capped at 5. That was on Tuesday. Hopefully that’s changes soon!

    Update:

Just went into the basement next to the concrete staircase to see if I could lose sprint connection as I have an iPhone... I actually was able to lose sprint LTE and my phone grabbed B71. I stood up and ran a Speedtest before my phone could pick up sprint again and I got 15 down and 5 up in my basement! Checked after the test and still was showing b71 and I believe it because sprint can’t even pull those speeds here upstairs anywhere in the house even during off peak times. It’s not 100% but I’m pretty sure the cap may be gone here now too.

  4. Okay yesterday I posted they finally opened up b71 for roaming where I am again and today my phone locked to b12 over the b71 in certain places. I’m assuming this was USCC as I don’t think T-Mobile has b12 here to my knowledge. Haven’t been able to connect to USCC LTE in over a year either. Before this weekend it was roaming on USCC 3g and little b2 T-Mobile in parts of town. Big improvement for me.

  5. So I’ve heard two different things now. First I heard before today that on day one it would be reciprocal network sharing on day 1 which is obviously not the case. Then I heard today two somewhat conflicting statements. First that for now users will stay on each separate networks. Then I heard another statement that Sprint users would be able to tap into the T-Mobile network via expanded roaming. Can someone clear up what exactly has changed today if anything?

  6. Anyone have any idea why my phone still won’t roam onto band 71? In the area I am I’m only connecting to band 66/2. Then I drop to uscc 3g. I don’t get it. I have an iPhone XS and a little over a year ago when they first enabled T-Mobile roaming I was able to connect to it and it worked great. I was hoping this expanded roaming would enable that again but it doesn’t look to be the case for me.

You're concerned that LTE roaming is not working in areas it used to, that it is affecting multiple devices and you can recreate the issue. Try to escalate beyond first line support if you can. Sending messages to the Marci or Combes twitter account for your messages can help escalate the issues to someone that might understand.

Not sure it will help but they filed a report for the area. I guess I’ll see.

Strange. I wouldn't have been surprised at all if the 6/6s had issues. I don't know if those are explicitly supported when it comes to LTE roaming. The others should work. LTE roaming is enabled on a site by site basis, it's possible something changed on which sites are supported in those areas. It is relatively close to native coverage. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to continue to make noise through support chat and/or on Twitter, and hope that T-Mobile native coverage comes sooner than later.

I really don’t understand it. Tempted to switch back to my Nexus 6p just to see if any devices are getting LTE roaming. Just frustrating because none of the carriers cover that area well and We can’t have U.S. Cellular anymore so... What do you suggest I tell Twitter chat support? The last time they wanted to try a device refresh from their end but I had to go through some link and I just gave up at the time.

Is your current device the iPhone Xs, and in what particular areas are you having this issue? In mid-Missouri USCC LTE roaming is active as documented by other members. Other members have had specific device issues with roaming that only a device replacement fixed.

Yes, I currently have an iPhone XS. The closest city to where I’m experiencing this is the Florida, Missouri area. My parents, who have iPhone 6 and 6s both can’t connect to LTE. Family members with iPhone X and XR’s experiencing the same. Just unusable 3g most of the time. All these phones about 8 months ago could connect to U.S. Cellular LTE regularly. My phone worked fantastic between the US Cellular LTE and band 71 on T-Mobile up until around December or January. I’m guessing all those phones lost it around the same time.

Re-provisioning the phone on the network. Just means activation without support either in person at the store or online. Most phones are activated this way now when you turn on a new device. It can be activated by dialing #SCRTN or from a prompt in the menu on some phones.

Thanks. I don’t really think I’m having having an issue roaming on U.S. Cellulars LTE unless everyone I know has the same problem. It just seems that LTE roaming isn’t active.

You could try going through support, especially on Twitter to see if anyone can tell you what is going on. However roaming issues have historically been very difficult to get diagnosed and then addressed.

I did message them through Twitter a while back about it and they just told me the usual like trying to update profile and prl then after I told them I did that many times already they said well roaming coverage and quality is out of our control and basically said there was nothing they could do. I know it’s not just me. Many people that have sprint have been there also and can only connect to U.S. Cellulars 3g now and it’s unusable for them also. T-Mobile  LTE works to a certain point but not at our weekend place now that I can’t access band 71 anymore. I know I’m just rambling but it’s frustrating because I know how good it can be and I spend a good amount of time there with basically unusable data.

I've never run into restrictions. T-Mobile should be bumped above USCC if available, and there are definitely no restrictions when I've been roaming on T-Mobile. Full speed every time I checked.

Roaming on U.S. Cellular in the area I’m in seems very restricted. I can only get 3g even right below the tower I use to connect to LTE all the time. It’s also seems the 3g is either throttled or is very congested. The 3g never works during the day but will get somewhat usable after 10pm. People I know who have U.S. Cellular have been in the same place and have full LTE with good speeds while I’m stuck on unusable 3g. I use to get T-Mobile LTE roaming until they quit allowing band 71. My data roaming experience went from an A to a D in a matter of a few months. It’s basically just calls and text.
