Not unless Sprint goes back and replaces all of the their B25 RRUs. The 2nd carrier adds an extra 5MHz of capacity regardless of whether it's aggregated or not.
It's hard for me to understand why sprint didn't build their network capable of doing CA on b25. Was this technology not available at the time when plans were made for network vision? I thought the point of it was to future proof the network.

I'm picking up carrier aggregated b25 in Rolla. I didn't get this before I left for winter break but now I am. According to the map, the tower closest to the school still doesn't even have band26 upgrades yet which is interesting
As far as I know sprint isn't deploying carrier aggregation on b25 and devices don't support it. Your probably seeing just a second band 25 carrier but they are most likely not aggregated.

In Princeton WI getting LTE roaming.
What device are you using?
-
Are the clearwire sites with 2 carriers able to do carried aggregation in stl?Maybe we do have Nexus 6P Carrier Aggregation confirmed after all? It'd be nice if it had Engineering screens, though that showed it.

Pretty good speeds on the new bridge in Chesterfield.
Check out my Ookla Speedtest result. What's your speed? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/1626231366

B25 4x2 MIMO makes a huge difference. I never came close to these speeds at home before.
Where are they currently deploying this?

2nd carrier is spreading like wildfire. My home tower didn't have it yesterday and today it does.
Any reports of a second B25 carrier in St Charles county?

No, the coverage tool maps are not a reliable source at this point. Sprint has not officially announced anything on LTE roaming -- everything is still a work in progress. So, we have no further info.

I had my doubts because of what you said in the roaming+ thread. You said it was a remote possibility that some unlocked, third party handsets may not receive all sprint network features.

I'm not saying its not going to work in the future but as of right now other sprint phones have access to LTE roaming and nexus phones seem not to. Maybe an update is needed I don't know but why arnt they working now along with other sprint devices?
-
How so? We have not seen any evidence to confirm nor deny LTE roaming on Nexus devices.
AJ
True but people are showing screenshots of it working on other devices. I was in a LTE roaming area last weekend and I got evdo only. The sprint site also shows LTE roaming on device specific maps for almost every phone capable except nexus devices.
-
Are sprint customers with the nexus 6p going to be able to use LTE roaming? For right now it seems nexus devices arnt supported.
-
I've seen all the threads. It seems its working in some markets and not others just wondering if anyone in this area is seeing anything.
-
Anyone seen LTE roaming on us cellular working yet? Currently roaming and only getting evdo.
-
This should not be the case.
Yes I know I was expecting a lot better.

Sorry quoted the wrong person my bad.I'm not sure what you mean by only getting half of what I have, I never said what my screen time was but it sounds like we're about the same.
I mean, maybe the app usage number us correct but I never had ever seen this number so low before coming to 6P which if course coincided with my first usage if Android M.

GSam is still acting funky with app usage as well. Not sure what it is about but I know at the end of the day when it's telling me my apps only used 5% of my battery, something is definitely not right. :-D I have emailed the dev's about it but no response and no idea if it's just a M bug or an issue with our devices.
The average screen time and battery life numbers look good and the detailed battery usage looks good as well.
I only manage about 3-3 1/2 hours of on screen time. How am I almost half of what your getting?
-
Not bad at all!

If you can find where the signal is coming from, and it's light enough to get pictures, that would be very helpful to! Otherwise a Signal Check screenshot with the strongest signal you can find will tell most of the story.
It will probably be dark but I'll try to get a screenshot of I'm lucky enough to connect to it again.
-
It's possible there is a new site. No other way to get a strong signal there. Will you be back through the area again any time soon?
I will be going through on my way home Sunday night. I was going through the town last night and realized it said LTE with around 95db on band 25 and signalcheck said no phone calls or whatever so it looked very promising to me.
-
OK. Sorry about that.
No need to be sorry, thanks for the response.
-
Not perryville but Perry totally different city
-
I was going through the town of Perry mo and saw it said LTE and it was strong signal. There is a new tower nearby but I wouldn't think its sprint. Was it a fluke or is it possible a new site is live?

They always make it sound like the switch was flipped and everything is all of a sudden amazing.

Is this spectrum they deployed with the US cellular spectrum they picked up or some that they refarmed?
