I've successfully activated new phones on my current lines without changing plans in the last couple weeks. May just be an issue with the person you were working with in the store.

Do you have a similar plan? Your were able to upgrade in store?

It seems like it may of had to do with TNX. Our plan isn’t currently available to use TNX.

I may go back to a different store because the guy was a jerk honestly.

  2. We went to the T-Mobile store(former sprint corporate store) today and went to upgrade my sisters line to a iPhone 12. We got way into the process when the guy said we’d have to change our plan to continue with the upgrade. I ordered the iPhone 12 pro on the sprint app and now I’m worried I’m not going to be able to activate it without changing our plan. We have the Everything Data 1500 plan. If this is true why was I able to order a new phone through the app and I won’t be able to activate it. I’m getting fed up.

  3. So today we decided to go into a T-Mobile store today (former sprint corporate store) and went to activate a line to a iPhone 12. The guy took our current phone screen protector off and went through the activation process and then said that our Everything Data 1500 plan was ineligible to get an upgrade and we’d need to get a new plan. Is there any truth to this? I literally have a iPhone 12 pro coming tomorrow that I was able to purchase through the sprint app and now I’m wondering if I’ll even be able to activate it. Needless to say we left the store and now the current phone doesn’t have a screen protector. Anyone know if this guy is full of it?

First post on NR with my new iPhone 12 Pro!

I sadly can't see any NR info in Field Test because I'm connected to NSA. I wonder how long it will be before the iPhone supports SA NR...

How’s the rf performance compared to iPhones with the intel modems?

My understanding is that the bill credits apply over the full 30 months, and if you cancel early you are responsible for the full device price. Not sure if that also means upgrade early.

Also does anyone know how long this trade in promotion will last? I’d like to upgrade with this trade in plus service credit but I’d rather wait a little longer or take my chance getting one in store but will these same offers apply? I really only want to avoid shipping the phone to my house as delivery to my home is not very consistent.

That’s my understanding but everyone else is taking about a $200 loyalty credit. Is this different? Either way it’s a good deal but it would be nice to know before I go through with it.

  7. So when I go through my app on our sprint account on my line with a paid off IPhone XS it says I can get the 12 pro for $6.66 a month for 30 month with my trade in for the XS ($500) and a $10 service credit. My question is, if it says my monthly cost for 30 months is $6.66 will my total cost for the phone be about $199? Or do I only get service credits for a certain number of the 30 months? People are saying only $200 in service credits but the way I’d read it is I’d get a $10 service credit every month for more like $300 in service credits. Can someone explain this to me if I’m wrong.

I did the trade in of the 7 for my mom with $300 off. Her screen is cracked and the offer says nothing about the phone being in good condition. Plus they offered $300 loyalty credit so overall $20/mo in bill credits ($600 total) was an easy decision.

I was told on the phone that a cracked screen wouldn’t qualify but who knows. It was kinda a joke trying to get any answers from calling a store. The one guy told me there were no offers on the new iPhones and i said there were. He told me he didn’t want to get in a pissing match with me and hung up...

Sprint's homepage discusses the trade-in deal and if you hover over the info radio at the end of the text, you'll see a popup with the following:

Yeah I’m really only concerned on the iPhone 6s of the devices as it has some scuffs on the bottom corners and back.

I sent in a spotless iPhone 6 on a trade-in (not for an iPhone) a few weeks ago (thinking that I'd get 50% off), and Sprint/T-Mobile declared if "ineligible" and gave me 10 bucks for it.  Customer care (after much, much discussion) finally told me that only iPhone 7s and later were still eligible for full trade-ins.

That’s comforting... It doesn’t seem like you can get a straight answer. Not a great feeling when deciding if we should take advantage of the trade in on 2 iPhone 6, 1 iPhone 6s that is a little beat up but screen is replaced and a like new iPhone XS. A lot of money is up in the air.

  11. Does anyone know what sprint/ T-Mobile will take as a trade in? My mom has a iPhone 6s that I replaced the screen on it also has dings on the corners of the phone. Since I fixed the screen would it be an acceptable trade in?

All signs point to the X55 being used in the iPhone however, Qualcomm has been making a bigger deal than usual about working with Apple on this year's iPhone modem.

The only way we'll know for sure is when sub-6GHz carrier aggregation rolls out next year.

Will the X55 do SA 5g?

Cool. I'll have to try that by my site. I think they have been doing work in our area cause 5G was giving me too many problems yesterday. And not in just one area. I drive Uber/Lyft on the side and was having issues where I was forced to just turn 5G off yesterday until I finish driving.

I’m actually on a sprint line with the ROAMAHOME soc with an iPhone XS. So I wouldn’t know on the 5g side of things.

  14. I don’t understand why everyone is now all of a sudden against T-Mobile leasing more 600 MHz. We are talking about spectrum that will sit unused providing no benefit for anyone. It doesn’t make any sense for anyone else to put it to use other thank T-Mobile. Also we all know that T-Mobile really doesn’t really have an advantage in low band compared to the others and after the upcoming c-band auction, AT&T and Verizon will likely close that total spectrum gap.
