The jury is out on that one. Everyone says use it but I don't think there is a way to check until the tower gets fixed. I would say it probably goes to some center in Kansas then back to your region then a couple of places from there. ******this is me venting>>> Honestly the way the whole thing works is stupid. (In regards to sprint maybe all carriers) they have so many different people doing different things on a tower ex Fiber guy The antennae guy The guy to check it The Lte guy The 3G guy The guy who says turn it on The guy who optimizes it And so forth Point is it's always someone different for every little thing I spoke with 4 tower guys working for sprint who came up from New Jersey to work on a tower here 4 hrs each way.. To replace a line squirels chewed through.. All the way from nj?? Boston is an Hr from here, no techs in Boston??? None in Hartford? Albany? New haven? There are major cities all within 1.5 hours and they come from nj? That's wasted money.

Didn't they squash the idea of WCDMA before son came around? I really wish sprint would kill off 3G with today's phones it's useless, that said I did Dl in the outskirts of Boston at 1.5 still haven't seen that again to this day. Maybe that's sprints problem as well, 3G was never really fast compared to vzw Whenever people see 3G it just brings back a crawling network?? When I see it I cringe get airplane mode going fast as I can!

Some people are and some aren't being petty. Both sides have arguments as much as I would like 70 ft poles I don't want it at my house. If the guy down the street does let him have it. Now a small cell on the light pole which is already in the front of my house I wouldn't care. See the argument is better coverage which we all want the other forgotten point is they are going to make money off of us. The company doesn't care what the cell looks like they are putting the cheapest one they can up there. Once the NIMBY starts they often become good neighbors. In my town I wish they would put up a 70ft flag/tower at the high school pay the town!

I love sprint and definitely pulling for the underdog. But it's crazy with all that money and technology WE need to reach out to zoo management then have them contact sprint to get better service. I understand the middle of nowhere but a zoo??? The first thing sprint should be doing is checking on amusement parks, malls, airports, stadiums, places of interest.... Smh it seems like it should be common sense?? No?

You have made valid points and I do agree. It is very easy to overlook what they done. That is primarily due to what every else has gotten accomplished in this time frame as well. If sprint doesn't March a little faster then the long term game will most certainly be affected. That's exactly my point sprint needs to push to get these permits done faster. I am not expecting 70,000 cells by years end but I do expect more than a few major metros at 80+ percent done.

Only time will tell, that's what's so unfortunate about this. We will only know when we can actually see them up and running. I am sure there is much more going on behind the scenes but if we the users don't see it sooner than later then it was just conversation behind the scenes. I do believe sprint is working on it. I do believe they have a plan/dream. What I am unsure about is how hard are they pressing to get this done? Remember the worst performing tower list? That started when Marcelo came on board. I hope they have a permit list or something in place as well. In my area there still are the "dead spots" that these small cells would be perfect for. Sprint should start filling In the holes first before worrying so much about getting poles blanketed in a city

Yes I remember reading that. What are they doing wrong that these permits are being held up? As you stated 2000 permits were submitted and that was 6 months ago! 1000 approved across the country?? That's just crazy... Sprint really needs to get moving. Dreams of these small cells and great coverage are starting to look much more like 2018/19 before a large portion of cities are completed.... Just in time for the 600 winners to put their Eq up.

"Mobilitie says it has about 1,000 permits approved and will start large-scale installations once more are in hand." -Wsj "The company since has received approval to attach equipment to 14 poles across the city. It will pay Baltimore $70,000 for pole attachment rights in the first year of the deal. Mr. Jabara says that amount is unusually high, and many places charge less than $50 a year per pole." - Wsj 1000 permits nationwide??? Out of 70,000 potentially?? Reading this is giving me that sick feeling of "here we go again" more delays, more issues to get up small cells. If sprint falls behind or has a slow roll out and the others don't they will surely lose their advantage of having so much spectrum. Sprint will once again be playing catch-up. Right when they are starting to get favorable reviews, better marketing ideas. Marcelo please get on this
