Aren't most phones capable of all bands of lte? I agree the cost won't be cheap but first migrate calling centers and billing and possibly plans worry about the tower situation a little later. Then you worry about colocating and decommissioning. For now you give each one the ability to roam on the other when and where possible. There is a cost and it will take work however many new sites for each one won't be needed as the other may have a tower already. Think of the savings because now you might only need half the small cells vs the amount of each one seperate. There are pros and cons and cost. But there is also savings and $$$$ to be made from combining.. Time will tell on this one whether they do or don't. I like the idea of a merger but I like the price wars going on now.

I think they are definitely hurt and don't realize they couldn't out think Tmo. By activating their binge on and loving it they effectively gave Tmo favorable numbers /stats to do what they did. Figure out a way to bluff them with ul while increasing the real ul plan and taking some of what they had! (Hotspot) JL sure did snake them while trying to make it look like besting sprint!! Lmao What. Magician!!

I see your point but disagree. These prices aren't forever. You want to attract customers. What about the people with 1 line? I bet they are more likely to try because it's "easier" I certainly wouldn't move 4+ lines without trying it out first. Again, you want people to flock to sprint a $50ul plan sounds much more attractive than 60/40/30/30. It's confusing to some. Sometimes you have to give to gain. It is expensive to run a network, and expand. Sprint should have left the 50/50 run it till Jan 5th or something. Marcelo can still make this plan a big hit if he makes it $50 with an iPhone 7. Remember the crazy deal everyone got leasing last year? Those should be expiring soon sooooo a lot of people will upgrade their lease at the regular 24-30 price and they get $10 off the ul. Btw, Costco and bjs are good for some things others they are the same price.... Sometimes more. thas prolly another thread through.

Neither t-no or sprint really impress me with these plans. Sprints trial of $50/50 and $25 thereafter would be something to talk about. It was only $10 less a month but the $50 number is what jumps out. One thing I am getting outta this is - sprints network still needs a lot of work - T-no has probably starting to see a decline in the amount of new subs. Not saying they aren't getting any new subs but probably well below what they have been averaging monthly.

Well that's interesting...... Love the fact he challenges the duo lol. Great advertising.. People would fly to Tmo if the just did it at $40 a month. I get the point of more phones cheaper price, but if you can afford $40 for 4 why not just offer $40 for unlimited?? Marcelo can you hear me??? Purchase/lease a new iPhone7 or note 7 and offer a $40 ul plan ending sept 30th when it's done it's done.

I agree to a point. 3xca is important in populated areas for congestion and reputation. However, 3G in a very popular tourist spot is unacceptable this late into things. Save the money on 3xca but a b26/25 carriers for at least lte hell 1 b41 carrier since lake George is in the mountains a b41 that covers downtown. Use 25/26 on the outlaying towers. Problem is sprints 3G is so awful you have to have lte to be able to anything. Sprint should recognize this and pursue it aggressively. I have been fully aware of the buildout and was patiently waiting, I can't imagine sprint selling any phones if the next town over doesn't have service... Well 3G only

Good for sprint sucks for me. I was given a great plan and told as long as I didn't change it I wouldn't lose it. If Marcelo forces me to a newer plan that may be more expensive I would seriously consider leaving, not out of spite but rather coverage. I deal with it now because my plan is great. If I am close to att/vzw prices I would gladly pay the extra to avoid those 1x data headaches.
-
They do bring up some points though... What will happen when the 50% off expires? Vzw does have much more reasonable data buckets vs what they had. That is a real possibility; sprint could lose customers simply because the promo is over and in the 2 year waiting period they haven't built out/upgraded enough towers for enough customers to be happy with their service vs vzw. I do believe sprint should come back with double the data or change the buckets. This time figure out a way to get rid of access fees or drop the prices on them. That would make for great commercial

So then it could be 5g if it's 39ghz and 28ghz?? Or could this be for Comcast ?? And wifi? .... Just speculating

Sure invite them. I don't think 1% is on unlimited I would guess at 2-5. I know the number wasn't meant to be exact. However I would guess outta 115+ million there is a good 5/6 million on this plan. I would also say whatever the number is its significant enough for them to actually care about it. I am sure many people are using this as home wifi. You can't beat that deal. That said bring them over make them subject to throttling
