  1. Well looks like Marcelo won't come through. No biggie we are used it.. On another note I wonder why sprint doesn't prioritize markets that have professional teams ??? I understand large people markets, but all NFL,MLB , NHL ... large college towns, should all be blanketed with cows until buildouts are completed. Oh well sprint will eventually get it done. But when it is expect to see vzw/att prices from sprint.
  2. We are all most at the 17 month mark. I don't see any miracles happening in the next 30 days, winter will be here shortly as well which may play a role in slowing things down. But! He did say 18-24 months!
  3. And Tmo is probably too expensive right now..... sooooo sprint on the other...... or dishes spectrum
  4. I took it as the right answer for any network question he didn't have an exact answer too. How about cells over here - "densification and optimization" That plan/program will be going on for years it's seems. The way he used threw it around it just about includes everything sprint is doing for the network. I do agree a lot of questions were so market specific he wouldn't know about them off the top of his head. But you are probably right- and I hope you are.
  5. That's just frustrating. The intersection she said is .22 miles from the tower, with a clear line of site it's not the sector because I can't get a strong signal unless I am within a couple hundred feet in any direction. It's just sprint dropping the ball on that one. Honestly what's the point of the tower? A small cell probably has better coverage. She did say she would have the executive services call me. I did ask about another location in my area that causes most to get rid of sprint.... No plans to do anything.. The area which I speak of is a very high traffic plaza with shopping/gyms/ and other businesses and sprints signal is well unusable. Oh well, disappointed but not surprised.
  6. Fortunately I already do. I wish you could see the proximity of the tower. I never saw a tower that only has a 100' radius that's insane and it's not 120' feet up its only about 40' up at 500' away because the sector isn't pointed directly at me is a reason the service is so bad? That's complete bs! I don't believe a tech actually drove out there.
  7. I took the advice here and got in touch with sprint. (Thanks!) I spoke with someone in Oklahoma from some team? Anyways they got all the info from me as well as heard first hand my problems less than a block away. They just called to tell me there is nothing they can do the sector isn't pointing At the intersection I gave them as being closet to the tower..... The map shows the coverage as fair. Basically a wasted my time. She asked to run a speed test which was .82mbps down and .21 up... The tower is operating as it should?? Our connection was so bad I had to call her on my work phone (vzw). No plans to optimize it anytime soon??? Smh I am glad sprint is doing well for those of you who claim it is. Over here things started looking good then just fell off. oh well there's nothing they can do
  8. Thank you! That is the best way to say it. We all know about how spectrum rich they are. They just can't get enough done quickly to talk about it. What I just can't understand is HOW DOES TMO/VZW get stuff deployed so fast and it takes forever for sprint???? Do the companies say f sprint we are doing there's first??? I have heard over and over $$$$$ but did these companies not have a writen contract??? Sprint has spent billions?? Billions on upgrading the last 5-6 years and that's not enough for a swift roll out like the other guys??? I wish sprint had some kind of recourse whether it be fines for not meeting deadlines or something. I just don't get why it takes so long. Are they not paying people promptly?
  9. This is exactly what I meant by sprint always being behind. It was taken as complaining. This is a prime example, Tmo has changed out (based on the article) the hardware or whatever was needed to do 4x4. Sprint has announced 3xca in one or 2 cities. How the hell does Tmo and vzw get all this work done on towers while sprint can't seem to get past permits?? It just seems like sprint has all these issues while everyone is building out. We know they cut back spending... How will you keep up if you can't keep the build outs going??? Is this some sneaky stuff by masa to try and merge?? Is this him tired of putting money in and trying to sell?? It certainly doesn't seem like the masa/Marcelo team that said in 2 years sprint would have the best network..
  10. Gotcha! Sprint recently added a mini macro tower that has now been running for 8+ months! I can't wait till it's optimized! Keep up the good work sprint! Hopefully soon they will continue to build out or optimize in our weak signal areas!!
  11. I am a frustrated customer. Stating that this is unacceptable for the amount of time that has gone by. It's not just me it happens all over, the point is sprint should focus much more on just getting the network working. This all came from the announcement of 3xca. While I am happy they are getting it going why don't they put more people on towers getting them up to par?
  12. I am not asking for your empathy strictly stating facts of issues within sprints network. You somehow came to the conclusion that I am a troll..... I don't recall asking for that either.....
  13. I am trolling because it's 2 blocks from the tower? Smh actually it's less as soon as the leaves fall I would post a picture showing its literally the next street over.. I used 2 blocks to reference distance walking.. From my window in a straight line it's less than that. I have called, used the sprint zone app and nada. When I talk about sprint this is what I mean towers shouldn't go 8 months without optimizing or a tech visiting.... These are part of the problems that keep sprints rep down and many potential new customers away. - they sign up get an experience like this and leave. I have 2 bars am on 800 lte and it's almost as bad as 3G....
  14. Here in Springfield it's spotty. They actually built a mini macro that went live about 8 months ago. I was so excited but if your outside its not bad but Inside less than 2 blocks away you can't stream without the pains of bufferrng. Calls drop handing off to the next tower. How long are you supposed to wait? Meanwhile there is another part of Springfield where i have sent over 50 of those sprint zone requests because the data is unusable.. Sprint needs much more work. When I am in ct lte coverage seems pretty decent on the highway. Once I get off though I still see myself on 3G more than I expected.
  15. It's nice but who cares if I am 230 and 2blocks later on 3G??? Don't get me wrong I like 3xcA but would much rather these damn towers get optimized, get their fiber or microwave going. There are way to many areas that are lacking so far into the project
  16. All of our ideas are useless without sprint actually getting more equipment deployed. Deploy deploy deploy.......use that damn spectrum we have been hearing about the last 10 years (seems like it) already!!!! Sprints huge advantage is barely advantage anymore because they can't get it out fast enough. Others have bought and deployed to nullify sprints progress
  17. Yes I do know the financial issues. However, they need to start their own bottle drives. That have to find a way. I feel like son is starting to feel like it's time to let go. Sprint can let Verizon on b41 sites in cities they have congestion or att or Tmo. That would generate cash - short term roaming agreement of 2-3 years if need be. Most of us think it's stupid to sell some b41 but again what's the point of having it if u can't use it. is 10/20 of it that important they couldn't sell?? I mean honestly 800 lte is almost useless as 5mhz is trying to cover everyone inside or further from the tower... Maybe it's time for more b26 carriers since they don't seem to be turned up that much anyways. Sprint has to get creative somehow.
  18. I agree. Sprint needs to market more through social media, stop the national marketing unless it's an event. Focus marketing on the local level. This would save thousands maybe a few million. These contracts should be based on incentives - companies get work done sooner they get bonuses they take longer they get fined. Increase the refer a friend and offer prizes like free to pier phones as incentives to customers who refer people. There are all kinds of things sprint could do to save money and still spend on Getting the infrastructure where it needs to be. Why is sprint trying to get 45 foot small cell when towns are approving 30ft. Small cells now will need replacement or upgrades in a few years anyway. Small towns might not care about 45 foot pole put them there. If 30 or 15 whatever towns are approving fast go with it. Outside of a few major markets sprint coverage is full of holes/gaps how many years later? Don't get me wrong I am pulling for sprint it just amazes me how every company gets stuff done so quickly except sprint. Regardless of what people say about the cash the network is basically the bread and butter is it not? Better network = more customers so putting more money in wisely will only bring better returns
  19. Monday morning qb? We all know about sprints spectrum. It's been years in the conversation. At some point sprint has to get something completed. The spectrum can't be used the way it's meant because they are still upgrading towers and fiber lines. Yes they have changed their management and so forth. Let's be real if son wanted sprint where he claims with urgency he would spend more on getting this stuff done. How is it everyone else seems to be moving faster? It seems like every step ahead sprint takes the others then take 2
  20. Not being a jerk but we have heard that for what seems like years. " Sprint this and Sprint that. Problem is Sprint can't get it done. This is another example of being behind the 8 ball. Sprint has all this spectrum but by he time they get it going the others have already made announcements or upgraded their network and easily downplay what sprint has done. Outside of a few markets sprints lte coverage is best described as "spotty". All of us here know it's a cell density problem. Sprint should have known this as well. Everyone said b41 didn't do well past a certain range..... Sprint should have been submitting small cell permits years ago they knew they needed densification. Which brings us back, How long before Sprint actually finishes a project? Everyone saw data was going to be the dominate thing in the industry. Every carrier has acquired new spectrum over the last few years. It comes down to getting it deployed- which is where sprint is lagging. Whether it's permits/fiber/ employees getting bribed/birds/weather. There is always an issue or extra issue sprint somehow seems to have in its way. It's obvious to us sprint is trying however, they just can't seem to move fast enough to make a big enough impact. Sprint got there lte deployed... Everyone else was done. Sprint got their speeds up ..... Everyone else already had faster speeds... Sprint was touting CA as the "here we come" .... Everyone else is using CA. At first everyone was all about speeds it was the wow factor. Now sprint is getting the speeds but the wow factor with speeds is no more as everyone else already went through that. Please forgive my little rant it isn't directed at any individual, however sprints mistakes have cost them dearly and will continue to until they actually get things completed..... Early.
  21. That said didn't Marcelo say we would have the best network in 2-3years??? When is that time up?? Just curious 17/18?
  22. I thought the same thing. Was surprised and read it a few times. But I guess if it's under network management it shouldn't affect it to much. But let's see. My guess is getting people on the plan and getting $100 or increased revenue and makes investors happy. Betting many will sign up to get it but in reality MOST will use reasonable amounts of hotspot~10/15gb a month... Who knows, many will sign up to be grandfathered in I am sure. We will see
