Anyone care about one web? http://oneweb.world/ I remember somewhere in here sprint was planning on using satellites for backhaul or something like that?? In rural areas?? Interesting check out one web... Seems like sprint/SoftBank has big plans for something in 2017. 3000 jobs to one web?? Doesn't seem like a merger to me yet. Really sounds as if SoftBank has something up its sleeve.

Merry Xmas everyone! Here is a good read explaining 8t8r and sprints plan dated about a year ago. http://blog.3g4g.co.uk/2015/06/using-8t8r-antennas-for-td-lte.html?m=1 "using 8 receiver paths instead of 2, cell range is increased by a factor of 1.5 – and this difference is emphasized by the fact that the number of sites needed is reduced by nearly 50 per cent. " Maybe this is why the reduction of sites.. besides the ones that were already co-located with 8t8r they figured they would need less sites?

I thought vzw was around 140 mil customers? Att ~120 Sprint Tmo would be ~120 If att bought Tmo that would force vzw to try and buy sprint and dish... lol I know u like att and I do as well but geez aren't you on our side?? The consumer??? Att/Directv and vzw as our only choices?? Prepaid prices would be what we pay now for postpaid!!

Just pondering about the merger.... with trump in office why should Tmo/sprint divest if it was already theirs? There is an auction going on so let them buy spectrum just like the others? With a 143 million customers they shouldn't be given anything... Even if they did merge they are just a close 3rd. How can they compete if they have to give up their assets? I don't think masa is wiling to let go of his prime property for 5g to merge when if he deploys it right they will come for free anyways.

Offer four speed tiers (Dump the non-HD 1.5mbps 480p speed and offer something that at least gives 720p!) : 3.0mbps everything for $45 monthly (1st line) $15 monthly (every other line) 6.0mbps everything for $60 monthly (1st line) $30 monthly (every other line) 9.0mbps everything for $75 monthly (1st line) $45 monthly (every other line) and a scaling speed tier that gives unlimited speed except for during congestion, but still gives top priority, at $90 monthly (1st line) $60 monthly (every other line), good for competing with AT&T's Unlimited Data plan, without the television service requirements, and keeps Sprint from looking as though they are completely limiting themselves to competing with a pre-paid carrier by offering this "unlimited speed" plan. The ideas are good however it seems to confusing for the average customer walking in. I would have liked sprint to do a bogo on the unlimited plan. $60 bucks for 2 lines unlimited as well as bogo on select phones, from Black Friday until xmas. That would make people jump. They could run a promo for Getting 2 lines get 10gb plan for free for 12 months. There are many ways to attract customers they just have to see which is better for them. I would target Verizon directly with a credit for service for 12 months on select plans with a purchase of a phone and port in.

Is that new news about band 41? Never heard of that coming from Tmo before. Is there a 5g standard that says band 41 doesn't work? Also that sounds as if Tmo was buying sprint why the hell would Tmo care as long as they got their asking price?? Now if Tmo was buying sprint I could see them saying they didn't care about band 41 and would switch us to gsm..... But once everything goes LTE who cares about gsm or cdma??

Doesn't sprint and Tmo belong to that CCa thing? Where they all share each other's network for roaming agreements? So what need would there be for one to build out in this state and one in that? Let the little guys build out using their spectrum and keep the roaming agreements?? Att should be broken up. They shouldn't be allowed more than a certain %. To have a 40% share in wireless and cable/sat they should have a number to max out at if they are to control/own so much of these markets. Make them drop 100k wireless customers !

Att trying to close a deal time warner, by tonight. I can't see that as a positive for sprint? More like someone will have to buy dish. I can see vzw/Comcast buying dish which would then give sprint/Tmo the argument of needing to merge in order to compete on the wireless side as the others will be offering some serious bundling. Only time will tell

Verizon doesn't like to drop prices. I can see a little movement however they will push like hell to get something they can call 5g out to maintain their pricing point. Verizon thrives on claiming they have the best and being first. I suspect att will be the first to drop prices or offer more data entering the Xmas season. If not the will have some great retention plans.
