Very limited time with it today. Obviously the device is not activated so I can't do to much as far as band selection and such. Also I don't have the MSL. Nothing in the quick start guide about LTE bands. On the plus side, the phone now permanently resides in my demo cabinet. I should have plenty of play time with it next time I am killing time. Hopefully Thursday provides that opportunity.

I like the original as well, the new app may use a non google map, because once your app uses a certain number of hits google starts to charge you

In the beta sensorly thread the developer says google is actually cheaper but that they like that these maps don't have colors so you can see tracks better. I hope their recent silence means they are working to appease the lot of us.

Looks like the party is coming to an end. Alot of people are reporting they aren't getting the credit on the first try anymore. And since you won already I think you are only eligible for one prize. So you have to redeem those other ones under yours friends and family or by other means that I won't talk about here. ;-)

On my trip this past weekend, signal check said 800 was coming from here.

Lte was hit or miss downtown. Sometimes completely useless even though I was very close to a site.

Also got 800 in the mountains down south near grants pass on the mountains.

Interesting. But now I have a feeling mikejeep designed it to not have the Grey showing at the bottom. The height of your rows seem taller then normal. What launcher is that? Is that a 4x4 setup? I think I have a 5x7 setup.

Wow.. that is clearly a dramatic difference.. and both look ridiculous to me. It works perfectly on the EVO LTE because that is my primary test device, and the code is optimized for that screen resolution. Devices with screen resolutions that are much bigger or smaller (like yours) than the EVO end up looking silly.

 

Heading on vacation shortly, but I'll start improving that when I get back.

Well I installed an earlier version of SCPro and I was able to add the 2x2 widget you see above. So its not Nova. 

This is what the old and new widget looks like on my phone. I liked it better when it was 2x2 for obvious info reasons. And it was also easier to tap it when I wanted to reset the connection. Weird that it changed since you said nothing changed in recent iterations.

Hey did the size of the widget change from 2x2 to 1x1? I just added it recently again after not having it for several app versions. And I can't resize it. Hard to see all the info.

Lte in the fidi is still unusable. I just ordered the tmobile 5s and will try it for a few days. If it's us usable I will unfortunately pay the etf and switch even though I don't want to.

Yeah sucks in fidi these days. Are you an iPhone guy or are u willing to try a triband android? I'm curious how 2600 performs downtown.

I was at the Oracle conference at the Moscone center yesterday and Sprint's LTE was present (outside) but useless. AT&T's LTE was doing fine; not sure about how VZW and T-Mob fared.

parts of downtown lte used to be great. Now during the day its crawling in those same parts. Triband phones can't come soon enough.

Does anyone know why there seems to be 0 upgraded towers in sf (for like a couple months now)?

I did some digging and it seems a lot of permits are approved for most of the untouched sites for weeks now. I thought the permit approvals were the delay but maybe something else is up.

I got to feel the 5c and it's much nicer then "plastic". It kinda seems like colored glass. Nice feel to it, not at all like Samsung plastic. That being said #teamsamsung
