  1. There is a tower almost at those exact coordinates, though not accepted for 1x800.

This is yet another sign that Samsung is programming the correct coordinates for 1x800 - which is quite exciting.

Oh wow I guess I didn't check when I took my screenshot in San Ramon. But mine also matches exactly with a site. I didn't bother checking since I thought it would be off.

It's also not accepted. But nice catch!

  2. Okay I know that this will be great for in building coverage but one question, with 1900 spacing I was wondering how much the downtilt would have to be to not cause interference... I ask this question because on the way to work ( I work outside of sprints coverage) I get 800 signal all over my town now been weeks since I've even seen signal check say anything different. But back to my question, on my drive to work I will see my dBm drop from -62 to roaminging in literally 1/2 mile (headed straight south of the cell site nothin to disrupt signal), and this is an area where I'd even have 1900 coverage. I know these towers may still be testing but anyone seeing what I'm seeing?

    - would the downtilt of 800 on 1900 spacing, cause no real coverage increase just better inbuilding penetration?

Has 800 greatly increased your coverage footprint on your way to work?

  3. Yeah i thinking more like expediting NV near your area. I remember a long time ago sprint offered to put a site ontop of our building. I don't know if the acct manager was just blowing smoke. But we didn't need it.

  4. It's a bummer, but as a business, it's no surprise.

I am sure they tested sprint tablets and tested verizon tablets and the extra cost was worth the performance they wanted.

I am curious how much was promised to the customer by the account manager vs. what the customer actually experienced.

Yeah i wonder what the account manager tried to do to keep that account. What were they allowed to do.

  5. Maybe they are beginning to switch over toe NV 3G gear? I noticed issues like that east of where I live when the switch to NV 3G was being made.

that's what I figured too, but it's been like 6 days now. Her 1x was fine before. She even picked up 1x800 briefly. But who knows where that was coming from. She lives in Manhattan so there's sites every couple of blocks. So I think she keeps jumping from further tower to further tower. I just hope it gets fixed soon. She keeps ragging me about switching to sprint.

  6. My sister who I convinced to switch to sprint is experiencing the same thing. She has an lte tower across the street. Her data is fine strong signal. But she cannot make or receive calls without dropping every 2 minutes. Her 1x signal fluctuates wildly. But her lte stays constant the whole time. Sprint said all the sites near her were all working fine. So I don't know what to tell her to do besides updating her PRL.

  7. I was helping my sister in upper Manhattan with her phone. She can barely make calls and gets texts in her apartment for the last 5 days. She had great lte prior. She lives right across the street from an lte tower. So I made her download signal check. Lte signal is great. But her 1x kept fluctuating. She even picked up 1x800 while I was on Skype with her. All this to say that 800 is active somewhere in Inwood and/or Washington Heights. I told her to be patient and all will be well soon.

  8. But here is the problem...sprints LTE bands are very specific so unless sprint ever requested a dual band LTE gs4, which i highly doubt, there wouldnt be such device in the pipeline. Sprint was just waiting for the LTE 800 fit test results before launching triband.

Yeah i know. Just seems odd. If they release this 850 lte version the only carrier that can use it is us cellular. Just seems like something is up their sleeves. Hopefully sept 3rd will have some answers.

  9. Its either single band or triband. No point of sprint making dual band lte phones.

Well if Samsung says "hey sprint were not making Tribands s4s but we got this dual band s4 already in production or do you want more single band s4s?" sprint should probably order a couple. I mean they are gonna be selling single band phones for awhile why not sell dual bands if it'll help. This is probably all moot but just throwing it out there.
