If they are using US Cellular coverage in their maps how come Nebraska and Iowa aren't covered? US Cell covers both states well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What about band 29?
-
I don't see ATT bands..? they're listed in the CA section but not in the supported airlink technologies?

What is Verizon doing different with SIM activation? I popped in my already active SIM into my new Pure and everything worked flawlessly even VoLTE. I didn't call anybody or do anything online. I understand VZW customers had a few hiccups if they were activating a new SIM tho.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Been using the Pure on VZW today and it seems to perform very well on band 2,4 and 13. Also used it in a "signal black hole" last night and it held a call on just a whiff of 1X. VoLTE on Verizon is also strong. I have no complaints in the RF department....wayyyyyyy better then the S6. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yes, your right but I'm still glad somebody is pushing ahead and VZW has a pretty good track record with their rollouts so hopefully it'll keep the carriers on their toes.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Agree that when a phone don't have all the LTE bands it's gonna be a cluster. But now technology has caught up and we can have all the band's why can't phone manufacturers just make them all that way and it just works with every carrier? Buy the phone and pick the carrier. This is the reason I prefer GSM based carriers. No BS and run arounds when using unbranded phones. Hopefully when CDMA is gone and it's only LTE all carriers will be that way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You need to be using VoLTE on VZW. Takes care of the tin can sound even when your not on a HD call. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I have my doubts. Guess we'll see... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Check out the map John posted. Is that actually LTE coverage? http://newsroom.t-mobile.com/issues-insights-blog/lifetime-coverage-guarantee.htm Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Looks like T Mobile is in now. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/t-mobile-joins-ccas-data-roaming-hub-expand-reciprocal-roaming-deals-smalle/2015-08-27 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I thought this wasn't possible? Did I miss something?

Definitely depends on the area then. I would happily buy a LTE only device from VZW now. I have no issues with VoLTE
-
Well if we're dreaming I can add to it. This service needs to access US Cellular also which makes it 5 carriers

Wahoo! US Cellullar (and other) EV-DO Roaming Is Live

I don't subscribe to any uconnect services. If I'm gonna pay for a hotspot it's gotta be LTE lol. I don't know why a 2014 vehicle still only has a EVDO modem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I live in a US Cellular area and noticed in the last several days my Uconnect in my Dodge pickup now show's 3G instead of 1X. I had been wondering if other devices besides phones would have access to US Cellular coverage..guess they do. -
Signed up for an invite, can't wait to try it out. Does anybody know how voice works? Is it VOIP? If so it won't work on 2G networks which the coverage map shows...? If I make a call on Tmobile's network will it hand off to Sprint's if I run out of TMO's coverage and vise versa.. Wouldn't that require 4G and VOIP? Can I make it prefer one network to the other? I have a lot of questions can't wait to learn the "in's and outs" of this.

I returned my Verizon S6. It dropped calls where I have never dropped calls before. Also it seemed like every time I pulled it out of my pocket it was on 3G. It didn't hold a candle RF wise to my N6. Between that and the battery issues I had it wasn't going to work. Traded it in on a M9 and have been pleasantly surprised with battery life and it seems to perform very well in the RF department. Sure liked the S6 screen tho..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
