I see the low price as buy time, though I wish Muppet could be held accountable for his {adjective}, {adjective}, {adjective} of Sprint stock.
(Edit)
Shareholder here too, though the recent decline only hit me for around $700 in losses. I fully plan to purchase another (several hundred) shares while the price is skimming.

In Alabama, the news just mentioned Chicago weather and how bad it was, plus showed a photo that was tweeted . Said 100 flights cancelled at O'hare and trains stopping on track due to 80mph wind and golf ball size hail

I'll be heading to Louisiana / and staying 5 days in McComb, MS tomorrow (Monday). Tomorrow night, in Slidell, I know I'll have great service on LTE...it's McComb I'm worried about -all C-Spire area. From what I can tell, McComb looks almost like Sylacauga, AL....3 towers with LTE, with exception of McComb having green versus the yellow in Sylacauga.
In hoping to find that LTE reaches around Lloyd Hamilton rd, since I'll spend all week there. I wish there was LTE roaming on C-Spire...but maybe next trip. Curious to see how well the G4 works there, as here I'm seeing better RF...LTE in places my G3 didn't pick up..

If it was easy to find, it wouldn't be HIDDEN!
The post about it or link to it...I'm not just randomly pressing button combinations on the phone trying to find it.

Not sure if it matters, wireless junkie, but this is also a southern Linc market, which may cause Sprint to deploy less hardware than in a market where they have sole band 26. I think SoLinc has 2.5Ghz in 800, but maybe someone can chime in and say for sure. I'd be much happier to see Sprint deploy here than SoLinc hang onto it. It would make the entire southeast much better in Sprint reception.

With the sheer number of lobbyists with Washington in their pocket, I doubt we ever see anything forcing broadband build out. They would still have years and years to even begin complying

So many of us rural people are S.O.L when it comes to any type of competition in broadband. I don't want to veer the topic in the wrong direction, but I would give anything to see competition in the broadband world.

Well, put me down as g4 user. Order is processing so I'll likely not have it before 4th, but it's on the way. I guess i need to wait until i actually activate the device before going to try the promo stuff?
Am i understanding correctly that since i opted for the metallic back, i also get a leather back, battery, charger and sd card once it arrives? Or do you only get the leather if you choose a leather device to begin with?

I gotta chime in here.....rhapsody user for several years (2012ish). I really like rhapsody and I'm so accustomed to the Playlist layout and such that it's hard for me to use other services even though i pay for Spotify also through sprint, i even have both on my phone and tablet. ..i just prefer rhapsody.
I pay $14.99/month for rhapsody premier+1.
Gives me access on 3 devices plus 2 computers and tv.

There would likely be lots of stipulations if ever there is affiliation. Along with rules that Robert may not want to have, similar to the rules on the Sprint community forums. I'm not sure the site would benefit greatly from affiliation.Crazy idea, what if this is what gets us affiliated with Sprint? They provide us with up-to-date information and some funding and we keep this community going and provide customer feedback when needed and help get Sprint more customers. (I can dream)

This caused me to send a tweet to marci about the yearly upgrade issue i had with sprint. I paid the $10 fee from may 2014 until April 2015 on my phone, and from July 2014 until April 2015 on my wife's line, and when i switched out of framily back in April 2015, i specifically asked the rep if i would still be eligible to get my yearly upgrade. She assured me that i could..... the only reason i ever switched from framily was because i got the tablets and decided to go with share plan so the phones + tablets would share data and i would also be able to use Hotspot. Neither of those were included with framily, otherwise i would've never ditched that (had 8 people in my plan).
I actually drove an hour to the Sprint store back on June 3rd and found out upon driving up there that i could NOT get my upgrade and only one of my lines was eligible, the line that I'm dropping in December. The only way to get it was pay full price obviously, or upgrade the line I'm dropping in a few months, neither of which i wanted to do.
Not really a big deal or a "I'm going to switch carrier" problem. ....but a justifiable complaint because i was slightly misled by phone rep when i came from framily to share plan.
The care team just sent me a tweet and said they reset my eligibility on both lines that i was paying the fee on. I never would have said anything if i had not paid that $10 fee on 2 lines for 8+ months.
Now the question i need to find out, how did they reset it. ...i guess a visit to my desktop is in order.

It's nice to not have to worry about the tower i park on slowing down, as I've tested in the middle of day on Saturday and still get 15mb download and 9mbps upload. ....but in turn, once i drive 3 miles away from town, i drop to 1x, and at home its pure roaming via vzw's colocated site with at&t which is exactly 1 mile from my drive. My buddy lives right in front of that tower and he has vzw, and gets great speed. ...but he gripes about the price and hitting his data cap all the time. I can't show him anything better right now with my phone because it won't work without the airave, but I'd love to brag on some band 26LTE to him. ...i hope sprint adds to the tower behind his house and I'll be set. i can see big things from sprint and i hope it comes to fruitionI grew up in rural WV (not as rural now and in Shentel's market!) and I agree that 25/26 is more than sufficient for a town of 5000 where maybe Sprint has 10-25% of the market. This is what Shentel is thinking according to their last earning call...B41 for the areas that need it but dual B25's + a B26 should be sufficient until the market grows.

If that's the case then I'm all for it, i guess it'll be wait and see how it works if they deploy it here. I live where there is a chunk of GMO towers, so seeing anything soon is. ..likely not in the stars for me. You guys know i don't bash sprint, and i gladly hand them a nice piece of change each month for my 5 phones and 3 tablets. ....i just want to get as much of a good experience as someone who lives in bham or Montgomery. It gets old when companies like my DSL provider, who is the only broadband provider in my area, happily refuses to give us decent service for the high price they charge...i want to be able to enjoy my cell service in the same manner as i would if i could get fios or charter Cable. Anyone who lives / has lived rurally knows what I'm saying. Seems like we are the last to get the decent stuff, which in turn causes slight resentment for some things that we wait on getting. I never had much resentment for sprint, i just would like them to bring some density to my area. There is a large swath of white in central alabama right where i am.
I've been waiting on a tower that has been live since Feb to be optimized so i can hopefully get rid of the airave I've had since 2008. Anxiety sucks

Being in a town of less than 5000 people, most who don't use sprint because they think it still sucks, I'm not seeing any slow down on 25/26 and 25 has been deployed here for 2 years. I still have 15mb downloads on 25 after 2 years of it being here. There are only 3 towers in a 25 mile radius around me, we aren't talking a large suburb here
-
So with the nearest tower being 6.9 miles away, what exactly will band 41 do for me aside from being really nice when i walk around walmart? I'd benefit much more from band 26 LTE....but I'm curious with what's been said here about band 41 being 3 to 5 miles depending on adjustment. ...how will that do me any good at all?
-
That's great, you live in a big city where 2.5 would fair well, but sprint serves more than just big cities, and if they do what some suggest, they will essentially be the cdma version of Tmo. If it doesn't work in my area, what's the point in having it? I will never benefit from 2.5 in my small town. ....it just won't work well here with the tower placement.
-
That means good stuff for areas like mine, rural central alabama. ...sell the stuff that doesn't propagate well in these areas and install more of the band 25 and 26....even better if they use funds to buy into the low-band auction next year. I am not sure but i think the difference in 600, 700 and 800 would be negligible.

The sprint consumerist hotline is the same thing, that's how i contacted them.
