I'm not sure why Alabama isn't higher on priority, or getting more attention. We are severely outpaced by the rest of the country, and I bet it's safe to say still in early NV1.0. I doubt NGN has anything to do here until 2017 or 2018. Wife will be getting new southern Linc when she gets back to day shift at work and we'll see what their network looks like.

I haven't given up on Alabama's rollout, but I will say that I'm not as enthused as I once was for Sprint in Alabama. It's not really that upsetting, I had higher hopes for us, but the last two years has been slow and cumbersome, and mostly because getting backhaul to these towers is keeping Sprint from moving forward. I know where I live, it's one internet provider, and that's regardless of what business, etc is located near me. Even with new businesses, like dollar general, it hasn't pushed anyone to look at this area for charter cable or uverse....or anything that isn't at&t slow DSL with stupid monthly caps. I hope within two or three years things will improve for Alabama, but I don't hold the same hopes that I did before when everyone was seeing progress and things looked somewhat probable. Now I just enjoy what I can get, when I can get it, and keep waiting as my posts here show reflecting back to 2013. Edit: actually, October of 2012.

Just got this email from demand progress: T-Mobile has been caught red-handed violating Net Neutrality. Will you chip in $5 to help demand the FCC crack down?Dear Jonathan,For possibly the first time since the FCC adopted Net Neutrality last year, an ISP has been caught red-handed breaking the law.1 T-Mobile is throttling video content from select websites as part of their new "Binge On" feature, and when confronted about it, T-Mobile's CEO lashed out at internet freedom activists, asking "Who the f*ck are you?" and "Who pays you?"2It's clear T-Mobile has no shame about violating Net Neutrality. And if the FCC doesn't crack down, other companies are sure to follow their lead. Will you chip in $5 to help demand that the FCC crack down on T-Mobile's blatant violation of Net Neutrality? Here's what’s happening: Late last year, T-Mobile automatically enrolled all their users in a service they're calling Binge On, which allows users to watch video from certain select websites, like Netflix, without counting against their data cap. The problem is that sites not enrolled in Binge On, like YouTube and Vimeo, not only count against the data cap but are being pushed onto a data slow lane, causing buffering and poor playback.3 This is a clear, systematic violation of the Net Neutrality rules we fought so hard for. And it's one of the first big tests of whether Net Neutrality will actually be enforced—or will exist only on paper. We're launching an urgent push to demand the FCC take swift action to crack down on T-Mobile. Will you donate?Yes, I'll donate to help stop T-Mobile from violating Net Neutrality. Thanks for taking action on this at a critical time. Look at him 10 years ago, and look at him now. He's aged 40 years in 10 years.. Not trying to get on a personal level, but the guy is either 1. stressed beyond the point of healthy, 2. on some sort of drug, whether illegal or something like painkillers....or 3. letting himself go healthwise. The "cool" look to grab attention should not have impacted his health to the point of looking like a skeleton..

I was curious about this since SLinc has joined the CCA.

What I've seen from ubnt is you would need two of (device). One air router or one loco m5 won't help much. Put two or more in an area and you will blanket really fast with signal. I have one nanostation loco m2 and it does ok, but I need another to really get some range (connect them to each other)

Exactly what I was getting at. I don't get the negative press, and I don't get the people here who have an inside view, of sorts, complaining like Sprint rained on their parade because the announcement wasn't the grand free for all that many apparently expected. Don't assume (ass u me) and you don't get disappointed. I've been with Sprint nearly ten years and I don't think they owe me more than what I get each month. I don't need someone to drive out and hand me a phone, or personally carry my rf signal from handset to nearest antenna.

I just asked about which tablet and free year he was referring to for existing... I guess some aren't reading the previous posts before replying that nothing has been mentioned for current customers. Although I don't..and won't be needing another tablet...I already have that crappy LG tab that they hyped up to be awesome...with it's whopping 8gb of memory...and no expandable storage...

That's not "half" of band 26 or 25 though... maybe, to cut congestion, Sprint will announce that they are cutting half their subs...gosh I hope my phone still works at midnight.. I'm kinda curious myself...I really don't need any more devices...3 tablets and 5 phones ...and I already got a line just so I could get the phone from it (actually that 2yr is up on Dec 1st of this year). I'm trying hard not to renew it and get a Note 5 or something... I'd sure like to get something that works as good or better than my G4 in the rf department.

I wish I could do more... Last week, my sister calls me from 350 miles away in Mississippi and tells me she needs to get out quick and wants to move back to our house...with her 5 year old and 8 month old. So I had to scrape and rent a uhaul, then go to meridian to be picked up so I could drive the uhaul back here. I wish the younger generation would not get into having kids with a daddy who does drugs, and threatens to kidnap his infant and run...
