  1. I don't have a bill from ²ⁿⁿ⅞ to compare. I had the Samsung Airave... That was the first one...
  2. I wish they would've given me two on my account. I had to get with a cousin and use his number in order to get one for business location.
  3. The only way, so far, that I have found to keep my Note 8 from jumping on B17 AT&T is turn off LTE Roaming in ##DATA#... And even then, I'm bouncing back to EV-DO VZW roaming -- I really think they should do some work on the radio and improve the reception.
  4. It's given a line on an account. I know this because I already had a magic box, on my residential account, and I requested a magic box for business location. The lady from MB support emailed me and said "we need an account to link this business magic box to"...so I gave her my number, which already had a MB linked... She emailed me back and said that I couldn't use my account, because I already have a MB linked to my account, and needed to use a different account to link it to for the business MB. If it wasn't linked to an account (with a phone number, as shown below) then accounts would allow as many as you want to request within reason. I couldn't request one for home and one for business using the same account number..
  5. Since band 17 is a roaming band... It's either on or off. I change the band priority a few days ago. Either have to disable LTE roaming or leave it on. I know Sprint doesn't have a roaming partner for LTE around here.... The closest I know of is cspire in Mississippi...
  6. So far, nothing I've done has made the note 8, mine or my wife, c connect better than it does right now. In places where the note 5 was fine and had great signal, the note 8 drops to att b17. I wish I could turn off b17..
  7. Fastest way is go into the Samsung Galaxy app store... Download the shop Samsung app. Sign into it and go to promotions. You'll see it listed. That's the fastest
  8. By the way...I was told newer devices have an MSL of zeros. Both of my note 8 phones have the MSL of 000000
  9. Also, can anyone list those wild LTE bands and which carriers are using them? I'm curious if they are in the carrier association and if we will see those working in areas anytime soon...
  10. Hopefully the radio gets some work... In places where I have -110 from my magic box on Galaxy tab A, the note 8 is dropping to AT&T band 17 roaming. I realize B41 and tablet has more room.. But the note 5 also had decent magic box B41 reception in the same spot. Both mine and wife note 8 won't hang on to that B41 in places where note 5 held it rather well.
  11. Sent email about business magic box Friday... Had some issues with request that we fixed via email.. Received email today saying order was placed and also received tracking info. Will have it on Wednesday according to UPS. The business unit has same model number as my personal unit... AU545
  12. I'm staying around -115 with 3.5 to 4.1 CINR . Got out of the negative CINR finally... Increased me from no signal at all... to having useable b41 with 7mbps down and 2mbps up Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  13. Has anyone looked at the band priority screen? There's like twenty bands of lte... interesting. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  14. I got mine at about 8:30 this morning. I had to actually call sprint because neither mine or wife would activate on the phone nor on website. I only know what the manager of ups told me about the sprint contract requiring a signature... whether or not the drivers abide by it. ..... thats on them. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  15. TBH, I haven't even looked at the capability of the Snapdragon 845 or whatever it is that's in the Note 8... I assume that it's HPUE capable, and has 2CA up and down? If I'm understanding the CA correctly, current devices are 2x CA on downlink, and 1x CA on uplink? I thought I saw somewhere that the 845 does do 2CA uplink and downlink, but i could be wrong. I'm sure someone who knows for sure will chime in...
  16. Both sent from same facility I'm sure.... Difference is one got on the plane and went to Bham International..the other was ...trucked? Montgomery doesn't have a UPS airport ...
  17. this photo is under ideal conditions, I assume. Where I am, I took the magic box to a true fringe area where band 26 is decent and 25 comes and goes. This tells me that above zero in the CINR is best, and the further negative and away from zero is worst. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  18. Normally, I've spoken with UPS before a shipment ever gets to the truck to be delivered. So from the local UPS facility, down to the driver that runs my route, I am well-known. And they usually help me out with things since some of the stuff I get is time-sensitive.
  19. But, if that's the case and the carrier already has the phones in their inventory -- which is VERY likely -- what's to stop them from sending them out or releasing them for shipment? I mean, once the carrier has them, it's probably some agreed-upon date before release can happen, and if the date is the same for carriers + Samsung direct, then it's just a matter of shipping speed chosen. I'm sure Texans will be impacted by the inability to deliver some items to certain areas as well.
  20. No. Under 'normal' circumstances -- and by that i mean beta devices that arent even released for public consumption yet ..."Shipment release authorized" means that UPS can leave the package at my doorstep..without me having to sign for it... But, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, when it comes to shipments that are sent from Sprint, they have a contract with UPS that states they MUST hand the packages to a person. Sprint had a lot of problems with people claiming "well i never received it" and they would lose tons of money with "stolen" or supposedly never received devices... It basically is a release authorization that I've presigned for all packages to be left if I'm not home to sign for them. But with Sprint, it doesn't stand...I have to physically be given the package..
  21. This will show exactly what UPS has ... (in literal terms, they have nothing but a label and tracking in their system. No package picked up yet).. So they've generated labels. Hopefully we see them start moving today..
  22. I should've left good enough alone. Since last Friday, my MB has not lost signal, my Note 5 hasn't d/c and recon not even once...for a solid week it's been on and working. yesterday I got to being petty about the signal and noise and such... And I moved it. I moved it 5" to 6" in the same area that it's in, but still moved it nonetheless...and that was a big mistake. I've had nothing but disconnect/reconnect. SCP is chiming like every couple minutes... I finally had to look back through my photos and see where it was sitting when I had it working, and according to photo, I put it back in that spot. And so far, it's still holding it's signal and my Note hasn't d/c but once since I put it back...
  23. Tracking details on both still show "Order processed: Ready for UPS" ... Until it gets on the plane and hits Bham, I can't really decipher what's happening. Hoping to see them start moving today (they will HAVE to be put on plane that leaves Kentucky for Birmingham by tomorrow morning at 5am in order to still have the device by tomorrow... If they don't start moving and get put on the plane ...then it will at the earliest be delivered on Tuesday thanks to the holiday.
  24. Both now showing in app. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
