  1. I tried calling TMI Wireless customer service. All I could get through to was the sales dept. I explained what happened. The person seemed somewhat confused and put me on hold. (It was like 12:15 am), and told me he couldn't do much because it was so late, which I understand. But he gave me a different number to try tomorrow. I'm prepared to argue with them - it's not fair that some orders went through and others were cancelled without rhyme or reason!
  2. I don't get it! How do they decide who to cancel and who to not. So unfair.
  3. I had gotten one from Sprint on Tuesday. It wouldn't activate. I called them, and 2 hours later they said it must be defective and sent me a new one. It just came today. Didn't try to activate it yet because I was trying to see if I could get one of the free, non-contract ones! I actually NEED this device (or any hotspot) because there's no cable or DSL available at my house, so it's our primary internet connection.
  4. I just filed a complaint with Call for Action. Let's see if they can do anything.

  7. My local ABC station has a consumer action hotline for things like this. I think I might contact them, explain the situation, and see if they can do anything. It's worked for me in the past.
  8. Yeah...I don't understand why some people were able to get them, and others weren't. It should have been all or nothing at that price!
  9. If they're stupid enough to make that error, they should honor their commitment!
  10. Am I somehow missing the chat button? I don't see one. I called them, but it was an automated system and then it hung up on me after it said I was cancelled.
  11. My order from TMI was cancelled, but didn't say why. They told me to chat with them, but I don't see a chat button. So I sent an email. I sent an email to Wirefly yesterday, and never got a response.
  12. This time they sent me the Sprint terms and conditions. I didn't get that before.
  13. Hm, interesting question! They are calling it a "replacement device" though...so it didn't sound like they cared or not. But, I don't know how they would know that. I didn't give them any type of Sprint number or account number, nor is my name the same as the name on our Sprint account. The credit card I used isn't on file with Sprint, either.

Hm...interesting. I decided to order on the phone. The rep had to double check and could not believe it was being offered for free. I agreed! Guess I won't get too excited yet, though...I'm still on the phone as we speak.

  16. I ordered 1, and then it was cancelled, so I tried to place another order. Guess I should have said I placed 2 separate orders. Both orders got cancelled
  17. Now they don't appear to be free anymore. This is so confusing.
  18. I've placed 2 orders and both have been cancelled. I called their customer service - worse than Sprint used to be 7 years ago! They couldn't give me a reason why it was cancelled, other than that it didn't meet certain "criteria" which they weren't allowed to tell me, nor could the order be reinstated. Hmph. Let's try again!
  19. Sprint just told me that my original re-order is now shipped...even though they were on back order for "10 to 15 business days." Hm. I'm hoping that this free one will ship and I can return the one Sprint is sending me. It's still well within my 14 days.
  20. I ordered one from Sprint.com on Monday, it came Tuesday. It wouldn't activate. Sprint decided it was defective, so they are sending me another one. BUT, they were on back order now! After only 1 day! I submitted an order for one of these. Let's see what happens. If I get this one, I will cancel my other order, which is within the 14 days from my "upgrade," and then not have to extend my contract.
  21. It's interesting how they show LTE on those maps - not sure of the coverage in Philly, but they don't show any in the Lehigh Valley, and there are several sites with LTE. And they show none of them!
  22. LTE in Macungie, Bally, and outside of Red Hill!!! ? That last one is a bit random, but is along the NE Extension.
  23. I ordered the new Novatel Mifi yesterday, arrived today. Tried to activate it and was on the phone for several hours - they decided it was defective and sending me a new one. Except now they are on back order!! After only 1 day! I've never had a device be DOA before. Frustrating.
