  1. It charges it faster because iPad chargers push more volts/amps(necessary to charge the higher capacity battery in iPads). I'm pretty sure constant use of it would deteriorate your battery(due to your iPhones battery receiving higher voltage/amps than its rated for. Otherwise why wouldn't all iphone charges charge at that voltage? It's quite a bit faster lol. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I'm with you on the clean look aspect. It just seems that having the current 1x RTT change back and forth between 1x 800 would cause even more issues. Hence why I'm thinking maybe something small added in to differentiate between them all would be a better option(removing the need to sort of "relearn" the way the app would be present info to you). For instance maybe "1x RTT [800]" instead of the current "1x RTT." Only when applicable of course Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. Could you leave the provider listing like it is currently and just make it also report what band you're connected to for all providers (referring to the LTE side of things here)? I get its not as useful for other carriers but it would consistent across the board and still allow people to identify what band they're on. I just see saying its sprint b41/26 is redundant because the people who will want the info will know b41/26 is sprint anyways without the carrier label being there too. 4. I don't see how they'd be confusing it with band 26 LTE. LTE has its own spot in signal check. I'd think people who are going to be using signal check wouldn't be the type to mix up 1x RTT 800, and band 26 LTE. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. I'm assuming its similar to the s4 active that AT&T had, a premium version. Possibly metal body and a few extra things to make the upgrade from an s4 seem logical. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Oops, I don't really know how that came out that way . I'd edit it but I apparently can't, I meant mAh(hmm it tried to change it this time too O.O).Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks! I'll give it a spin in a little bit. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I haven't had any in the STl metro area Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone have a USB battery pack they'd recommend(the little bricks/rectangles usually that have USB ports to recharge basically anything)? Im thinking of one around the 8000mhz capacity, maybe bigger depending on cost. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm rooted, running about 11 xposed modules. I can't resist tinkering with my electronics (plus adaway is nice). I know how you feel I had just gotten out of learning mode and then xprivacy had an update that froze my n5, I had to use my twrp backup which was conveniently from the day before I started my learning period lol. Its a bit of a pain to wait for but I feel Its worth it, the app refreshing suppression is great (I figure if its one you really need to refresh you probably check it regularly anyways so its not really an issue). 11. I use Battery Guru. I know some people have said it was having a negative affect on their batteries but I thought I'd give it a shot awhile back and its working for me. 13-14 hours of moderate use in an area where signal isn't terribly great seems pretty good to me. I like their "low power" mode(it helps milk the last few percent out of my n5), I actually had my phone down to 16% the other night and it idled while I slept for 12 hours without dying. 12. I had a battery issue, but it was "the weather channel" app. It ate up 68% of my battery usage(from fully charged to 72% remaining during a 8 minute shower...). Never happened before so I just shut off the notifications until I can find a good replacement. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm pretty sure my issues are just because of my towers(I've never had them in any other place). Except for the week I tried Google voice integration and decided it wasn't for me(caused issues with texting while in low signal areas). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. Hmm I believe mine is because of LTE towers that service my house not being triband ready yet(and I'm rocking the .15 baseband because of the reception boost ). I haven't seen it being related to making calls/sending texts or really anything specific. It just likes to search for LTE it can't use lol. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. I've thought about early switching, but its not worth it.
  16. Actually no, we switched right after the new year(got a phone to test signal on the 31st and officially swapped on the 2nd). So we just missed out on the whole framily push. Kinda sad because it'd save us some money (we have two people with unlimited plans and one who has no data at all). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. It was definitely a wth moment for me. I'd just had my phone randomly shut off and not power boot too(xprivacy update that had issues), thank god for twrp backups . I thought I might have soft bricked my phone for a second lol. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah a bit, I had to go to a corporate store to swap to sprint anyways. Its alright though I've been passing out s4gru as the place to get info to everyone I meet/know who has or is wanting to possibly get Sprint. I even got a couple to go buy 4 n5's from the play store instead of Galaxy s4's that time I was In there. They needed the RF performance (were in a rural area so its a godsend in a lot of places). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. I can say that I've noticed the sprint stores that aren't corporate in my area seem to have less knowledgeable employees. One of them even told me that the tower closest to my house was in a town 35 minutes away, when I know for a fact there's one less than 10 minutes away(I checked equipment because I'm not a sponsor yet, so no maps). Just goes to show you need to do your own research instead of being a sheep and getting all your info from the person making money by selling you things. 99% of the time you'll get screwed by sales people who are on commission. 20. I'm assuming there's fine print stating its not in 100% of their market. Plus shouldn't consumers take all ads with a grain of salt? They're all for the most part a skewed perspective, or a load of crap now days...I mean everything has hidden terms and conditions now. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. With regards to the back haul issues and so forth part, by just reading through the threads here it seems like its a lot of political/contractual crap that isn't really Sprint's fault. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. Uh I've had my nexus say no signal(the empty triangle of service bars), then when checking the engineering screen it said it was on GSM service...I just toggled airplane mode and then restarted it and mine latched back onto 3g(no LTE at my house currently). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. I have to say that while all of our "solutions" (especially the software/hardware ones) might not be as easy as we all think...I'm personally not an expert in any of the areas I'd need to be to implement any of these. So I can't really say if they're feasible or not. I'm a fan of the unless you can do it better than them don't bash them for doing what they are. Maybe one of our resident specialists could chime in Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. Hmm...that's odd, I've only noticed that when in a poor signal area it'll delay them by swapping between data types(for instance at my house where the three LTE towers aren't upgraded so I search for LTE then drop to 3g, and it keeps cycling. Or while on fringe LTE where I'll sometimes get a 110-125dbm signal or sit on 3g and it tries to Grab the LTE when it shouldn't). I'm guessing its due to not giving the texts enough time to go through each "path"before switching. That's never been more than a 5-7 minute delay though:/ Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  25. It could be an issue if you're connected to a site having e/csfb issues(which the .15 baseband allows I believe?) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
