  1. Sounds exciting and very promising. But that 3 year timeline killed me though haha. I cannot wait until things get rolling and seeing positive things about sprint in the headlines. Many of my friends and family who have att and vzw and even tmobile wants to jump ship to sprint. They are aware of the investment of softbank but wants to wait until network has drastically improves in their respective area. Most of them just resigned contracts so hopefully in two years sprints network is A LOT better
  2. Dang that sucks and I feel we will continue to hear bad news until next year. Sometimes you need to breakdown to have all the pieces you need to build yourself again. Things will get better for sprint in the long term. Ready for triband!!!
  3. HOLY GRAIL!!!!! ???????????????? "Inspired by Chocolate Metaphor" #chocolatemetaphor https://t.co/KSd0yb50oS

  4. But I'm thankful I have a great paying job

  5. Doesn't sprint want to use TDD LTE on the 600mhz band? I wonder if they can use 600/2600 for LTE advance
  6. RT @Jeffgotjuice: Kevin Hart annoys all shit out me

  7. The enemy of my enemy is a friend of mine

  8. RT @josephthomas: Ben Affleck as Batman is about as believable as Mitt Romney as president.

  9. I suppose but rebuilding a network doesn't happen overnight. Trust me I wish it can be done quicker and faster but it takes time, the right people, permits, licenses, making sure the new network doesn't affect competitors existing networks, series of testing etc. Sprint isn't just adding LTE panels they are restructuring every piece of equipment including the base stations and fiber cables. It's something that sprint has to do to keep their network alive. But once they are completely done with network vision and once LTE advance becomes more known and advertised, sprint will already have the equipment in place to launch it. (I honestly don't know if att and vzws current LTE network and equipment is capable of LTE advance to my knowledge its not) One more thing - sprint is adding LTE on 3 different frequencies So overall it's a lot but like I said it has to be done. *just writing all of that made me realize I have to be patient and I know once everything is done it will be worth the wait*
  10. Network vision is already funded before softbank. The reason for the delays were due to backhaul and vendors working on their respective market.
  11. You never know what the future holds. Lol. Personally I would switch if I were them but lets say in 5 years if sprints coverage is up to far with Verizon's and they still have unlimited data and even faster data (wishful thinking) I would switch to get a cheaper plan
  12. That' sucks but I completely understand the business stand point. Maybe in time your company will switch back to sprint. I love sprint but I don't see their network being amazing and up to par with vzw and AT&T not until 2015. By then and hopefully we have LTE on 800 and 2500 nationwide
  13. This date might be true because before Sprint acquired 100% of clearwire they had an agreement until 2015 but now since sprint owns clearwire and softbank is the sugar daddy to them both I believe they want to and can end WiMAX sooner. I might be wrong but decommissioning WiMAX is not entirely harder than IDEN. Consumers phones will still work just not their 4G and plus working at a sprint store we are instructed to switch customers from their WiMAX phones to LTE phones with their insurance (you must have a legit issue with the device but we no longer carry WiMAX insurance replacements)
  14. http://news.investors.com/technology/082213-668475-tmobile-sprint-resurgence-undermines-possible-merger.htm Just came across and decided to post it( conversation has been dead as of late lol) I honestly wanted tmobile and sprint to merge years ago but honestly I'd rather keep having 4 national carriers just for competition. Plus I don't want sprint to have a Nextel 2.0 fiasco. I'm sure sprint buying tmobile will probably be an easier transition from Sprint buying Nextel. I would like for sprint to acquire Ntelos & USCC
  15. Obviously sprint corporate has a lot more work to be done compared to shentel but I wonder why it's taking awhile for them to turn on 1x 800 "officially" . I know from Frederick MD to DC you cannot pick it up unless you have a customized prl.
  16. Shentel did. We turned on 800 all over hagerstown in one week
  17. Who knows whether if they turn on 800 LTE or not we all still need a device that supports it which means I have to wait until 6/1/14 to get one and experience Triband. I just wish we can ship our current device to sprint tech support and have them add the necessary antenna to make the device Triband lol. I honestly would keep my current iPhone 5 for another 3 to 5 years if it was Triband
  18. Just realized we probably won't know more about softbank's plan with sprint and other things such as network vision 2.0 (LTE 800/2500, etc) until the Q3 earnings call which is probably the end of October.
  19. RT @Jaycyn_: I gotta stop bein nice..
