    I couldn't take it any longer. I ordered myself a Nexus 7

The more storage you have, the more it gets filled up with garbage. I don't have a SD card on my Nexus and other than the ease of tossing the SD from my E4GT in there and not having to transfer everything through USB, I have not missed having a SD card. I especially don't miss when my SD card got corrupted and I lost everything on there... pictures videos etc. That was not a good time. I think I am also going with the 8GB. I can always use an external flash frive for my complete collection of Walt Disney Pictures. My mouse is now hovering over the purchase button in google play...

One way to work around the lack of SD support on this would be to get an adapter like this http://www.amazon.com/T-Flash-Adapter-Samsung-GT-i9100-GT-N7000/dp/B005FUNYSA/ref=pd_sim_cps_2 and use the app StickMount to be able to use thumb drives with the tablet. I use it on my GNex and it works great. Of course, you risk damaging your micro USB charging port if you aren't careful... AJ, did you get the 8 or 16GB model? I haven't run out of space on my Kindle Fire, and $50 for an extra 8GB seems downright rediculous. Then again, 8GB total is rediculous. I wonder if there is something extra included on the 16GB model...HDMI? (doubt it) Also, I saw a pic of pogo pins. Lets hope there are actually some accessories that can use them unlike the GNex

Has anyone heard definitively if this will support HDMI out via MHL? not that I use it much but it would be really nice since no developers care about making their apps compatible with Google TV. Google could just build google tv integration with other devices into Jelly Bean, that would be nice. I was looking at the Acer Iconia Tab A110 and saw that it has a slightly lower res screen, but HDMI and microSD support. The developer following and google support is going to be MASSIVE for the Nexus 7 though. That is reason enough to buy it over any other tablet right now unless you want 10inch or 3G/4G connectivity. I am really fighting it... I don't think I will make it more than 1-2 days before I pull the trigger.

That would be unacceptable. My buddy had about every game system ever made and his (now ex) wife made him give away/sell almost all of them. He was scarred by that, I don't think he has any video games anymore. On the other hand, I know a guy who has 40+ arcade games filling his basement and garage. His wife asks nicely when he is planning on selling some so that she can park in the garage again... I have some things that I refuse to give up, but something like the kindle fire or that blasted galaxy tab, I don't mind giving up.
  8. They get drawn in by the subsidized price of the tablet. And if they are going to keep service on it for the entire length of the contract, why not? It saves some cash. There is no reduced monthly cost for an unsubsidized device.
  9. This map shows Sprint's markets. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/articles/nationwide-sprint-market-map-is-here-r31

A happy wife = a happy life She has a lot less stuff collecting dust than I do.
  11. They are ramping up now as everyone is trained on how everything works. It will get a lot faster pace and then plateau. The first markets are named as cities because these are the largest cities in America. The market covers a wide swath around the city that the market is named after. As the markets proceed to the 2nd round, you will see more named after the region instead of the largest city. The Minnesota market covers the Minneapolis saint Paul metro area, which is in the top 20 metro areas, but it also covers Duluth, Rochester St. Cloud etc. Verizon announced all those "markets" separate. 12. Sprint will not be launching "markets" that are cities like verizon does. Sprint is upgrading the entire market, not just hitting large cities and surrounding metro areas. A market could be a whole state. Every site will be upgraded to network vision standards. And yes, we should start seeing them completing sites at an increasingly fast pace over the next couple months. Sent from my CM9 Toro using Forum Runner

The wife doesn't allow that kind of thing. I have to agree to sell or throw away old stuff before I can replace it. I used to hoard, but the garage and basement are full of junk from my old gadget hoarding. I see your new signature, very nice! Did you and the UPS man have one of those moments where you were both running in slow motion through wild flowers toward each other?

I managed to sell my 7" galaxy tab for $125 on CL. I think I should be able to find a buyer for the KF... might even make some money off the KF since I purchased it on Gold Box deal and had a warranty replacement where they sent me a new (not refurbished) one...

    Nexus 7

I am writing the craigslist ad for my kindle fire right now, as the wife will give me a hard time if I have 2 - 7" tablets lying around. The KF is plenty capable, and nice when rooted, but it's not a nexus... and doesn't have all the additional features of the Nexus. The Nexus 7 is nearly perfect for my needs. If it had a SD card it would be perfect.
  17. Yeah, that was my thinking, Sprint and Verizon probably talked HTC into continuing their lines to capture repeat sales, then since it was down to AT&T and T-Mobile at that point, they probably figured a quad core would market well for T-Mobile and AT&T could have the scraps...
  18. I still want a phone that works with the touchstone charger. I haven't gotten the nerve to modify my GNex to work with the touchstone yet...
  19. That is very annoying! My coworker holds his phone with the microphone at his neck and talks at an 11. It is very annoying. Especially since he seems to love nothing more than talking on the phone. I bet he is on the phone at least 30% of the day. How he doesn't lose his voice is beyond me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeOXsA8sp_E
