So randomly at 1am this morning my G3 decided to play some of the music that comes with the phone on the stock music player. I mean just started playing, I've never used the stock player. Kinda weird but really didn't wanted to get woken up that early.
Sent from my LG G3.
It's always something. I wish you could just buy a device that didn't have any glitches.
Mine started a new phenomenon just a few days ago. After I knock twice on the screen to wake it up for use, the screen stutters for a second, the factory installed weather widget disappears then reappears. Hope it doesn't keep that nonsense up.

It's sound logic, but it's not necessarily necessary..
The Nexus 6 can have HD Voice, and still be a single sku, used on all networks. (Just as the Nexus 5 today is a single US sku, and still has Sprint-specific software on it, such as the hands free activation piece. Every T-Mobile Nexus 5 has Sprint-specific software on it, just waiting to go live on the off chance you throw a Sprint sim card in there)
I'm not saying that the Nexus 6 *will* have HD voice, but there's zero reason it couldn't, even if every Nexus 6 is identical in hardware+software.
Ok, Thanks!
-
All indications are that it will be the same model sold through the Play Store as sold through Sprint. The phone should be identical. The Nexus 5 was the same regardless of place of purchase.

Thanks, I knew the phones were all the same, but what is confusing me is the fact that in order to be compatible with Sprint's HD voice, the Sprint phone would have to have different software than the units sold by Google, since all HD voice systems are not the same.
Does that sound logical?
-
Probably.
And yes, the nexus 5 supports HD voice as well as the 6.
This may sound like a stupid question, but... Do you get HD voice on the Nexus 6 only on the version you buy from Sprint or will it be available on the Nexus 6 if purchased from Google as well. That probably wouldn't be possible would it?

How do you initiate the repair process? Is there a repair email?
Contact LG at 1-800-243-0000. You'll most likely get the call center in India (...good luck with that). They will issue an RMA for you to send your unit to Fort Worth Texas for repair.
Be very specific with them as they can tend to paraphrase the issue that you tell them which can have minute details get lost in the translation (no pun).

At Best Buy now. They are having a difficult time with the $200 gift card, saying it has to be an active phone. The manager is trying to figure it out. I pointed out their website doesn't mention that even in the fine print.

Good luck & give 'em hell. That is such a P.I.T.A. It will all be worth it soon, when the new device is in-hand!

Mine was received on their end on a Friday, weekend had no activity, then on Monday they fixed it and sent it back that day. So they had it a total of 4 days (2 business days.)
Received my G2 back from LG yesterday. They said they found no problem with the GPS. Hmmmmm. It started working again right before I sent it in. It'll probably fail again after a few weeks of use like it always does. Since they put a new board and new screen in last time, it's probably the connectors on the back cover for the GPS antenna. What a poor design!

Just take my money!!!
Me Too! I want one! I'll at least wait until some others get one to see how they perform.

I'm not sure about that. When I tried to activate the phone on the web (which, in all my years with Sprint, has NEVER worked), it gave me the option of using my same SIM. I selected "no, activate the new one", but the implication is that you are able to simply swap the SIM.
That's cool! Come to think of it, I did see that option as well the last time I swapped a phone.
-
Well, I'm able to connect to LTE on my Nexus 5 and get data. My SIM card has not been swapped, I believe. I'm going to try manually swapping.
EDIT: Ok, *whew*, using the SIM card from my Nexus 5 worked. I'm back on LTE. I've got a good signal. Seems about 2 to 3 db better than my Nexus 5.
You may want to use the correct SIM and deactivate the N5 SIM. I think, and I may be wrong, that you can get messed up on Sprint by using a SIM from another device. It's not like GSM.

Awesome. Enjoy the new toy!

If you can still get data on your Nexus 5, the SIM is not deactivated, which is why your Note 4 does not have LTE.

Well, my Nexus 5 is now not connecting to LTE, but that's because my SIM card has been deactivated, correct?
Yes, after the device is deactivated it will still show a 3G signal but no LTE.
-
I'm wondering if somehow my SIM card was not activated.
That was my next thought as well. You may want to call customer service and make sure.
-
I'm trying to access that menu, I can't find it.
EDIT: In the network options, it is set to CDMA/LTE
Sure it's not a tower issue? SInce your N5 worked, it shouldn't be an eCSFB issue.
-
I was originally asking that question. But now I'm having trouble connecting.
Yes, plenty of LTE on my Nexus 5 at my desk. As I said, I got a connection of about -90db briefly, which is about what I would get on my Nexus 5. But it quickly booted me off and moved to 3G.
That's strange. Did you check settings to make sure they didn't change to CDMA only.
-
I'm having trouble getting on LTE. I had it briefly, but it keeps kicking me to 3G.
Sorry, I thought you were asking to see what LTE band you were on. Did your Nexus 5 successfully receive LTE in the same area?
-
I've got mine. How can I get to the LTE band?
Either use Mike's Signal Check app or go to the dialer and hit ##DEBUG# then go into LTE Engineering.

for best price I think and tax free in most states. check amazon wireless. I bought few phones from them .price was $50 less than sprint and bestbuy
When you pay full price for them, like I did on the last couple, Amazon at least matches Sprint who is less expensive than Bust Buy.

Note 4 in hand!
As long as you have a usable B25 signal, the network will keep you there. When out of range of B25, you'll seamlessly switch to B26. It's awesome.
How is the sound quality? (earpiece and speaker)...
-
Moto X, was a great device, and its kinda sad that the 2nd gen never made it on sprint, don't think Nexus 6 is targeted at the same crowd.
I agree!

This is a really nice device. I can't wait to see it in person. Looks like Motorola may make a big time come-back with the Nexus 6.
Motorola phones used to be the go to device for the best RF performance. Hopefully this will follow through with the Nexus 6.

Here is a link to an app called SoundAbout in Google Play. Some individuals who are having issues with LG's (G3) crappy resistance based output jack detection programming say it puts a Band-Aid on the issue. I haven't had the chance to try it yet myself. Good Luck!

My G3 is definitely not as good as my G2, but I get about 1.5 to 2 days with light to moderate use. At least a full day with heavy use and about 4.5 hours of screen on time in torch mode.
