  1. It's hard to judge those at NV just yet.... They certainly may by, but I've pulled 2.0-2.5mbps down in many areas before so it'll take a little more than that to convince me just yet. Keep up the hunting though!
  2. Yeah that was a huge update, which is good for all of us no matter where we live.
  3. No towers for us or Orlando in the NV Sites Complete update.
  4. I'm really hoping to see Tampa in the NV Sites Completed update today. *Fingers crossed*
  5. Tampa is the largest metropolitan area in the state so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest for work to begin here. I think at this point Sprint would love to say their LTE network covers more people by the end of 2012.
  6. Ditto I didn't see anything either.
  7. He's probably hanging out at the first LTE site.
  8. Well that certainly is an excellent result. Maybe Robert or another staff member could confirm for us?
  9. I'm trying to think of ways that I can help sniff out completed NV sites since I don't actually own an LTE phone (12/1/12 I will). Do you guys know of a PRL that will sniff out 1xA, either 1900mhz or 800mhz, first? And assuming there is such a PRL I can use, how would I be able to identify that I am indeed connected to 1xA?
  10. CDMA does offer superior voice quality compared to GSM. Perhaps Sprint just edged passed Verizon due to Verizon having more customers on each tower?
  11. That's actually good to know. Perhaps just streaming Pandora while riding around would do the trick.
  12. Going to be driving around New Tampa and New Port Richie today, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for work going on in the outskirts of the greater Tampa Bay area.
  13. Ah must've just glanced over it. Thanks!
  14. Could you mark that tower on a Google Map for us? Could be worth investigating.
  15. Awesome, glad to see some progress being made in Florida. I am waiting for the improvements here in Tampa myself. You should download the Sensorly app and map the LTE in the area for us.
  16. Lack of spectrum perhaps? I can see Sprint placing a higher importance on 1xA for text and talk then data.
  17. Is there a particular PRL you would recommend to users of phones like the Evo 3D so that they did prefer SMR? I find it odd that the iPhone 5 and the PhotonQ don't support those bands in their PRL's. Wonder what the logic behind that was. Also, whats your PRL comparison app called? Is it on the Android Market?
  18. So it's not ever tower then? I didn't imagine it would be, but I was optimistic. I hope at the very least, I hope they deploy 800 extensively in more rural areas that operate fewer towers. 800mhz would definitely see it's full potential realized there.
  19. That's really good. I think that, barring any interference issues, having 800mhz with 1900mhz spacing is going to be a huge win for Sprint. The coverage increase Sprint showed for Atlanta was mind-blowing.
  20. There's a lot of great information floating around this forum about the 800mhz rollout. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to find as some of the great information about LTE. So what I hoped to do here is to consolidate this information and make it easier to discuss one of the biggest changes coming to Sprint during Network Vision. I know a lot of this information is already scattered around the forum, but if you guys would help, lets make it more accessible. To get the discussion started and for those to haven't found this info here yet... On how many towers is 800mhz LTE and 1xA going to be deployed? How quickly will 800mhz 1xA be deployed in NV areas? What is the real world coverage increase going from a traditionally 1900mhz network to a 800mhz channel? What PRL's would take the most advantage of 800mhz ESMR when it's available in your area? My question is for those of you in Chicago and Texas... how big of a difference is it for you guys? I imagine the increase in coverage is probably astounding.
  21. I wonder how much that new site in Channelside is helping service inside the Forum.... I've had nothing but horrendous service inside that building lol.
  22. It's definitely a bummer, but I understand there isn't much that can be done about it at this point. We'll just wait and see.
  23. Yeah me too. You think with 2.5 million people in the bay area we would have some more people monitoring this forum.
