  1. In metros, true sprint will smoke them. The question is will Sprint expand their native coverage without relying on roaming partners.
  2. Softbank will bid in the upcoming spectrum auction - sources 07:01 AM ET • S • SA Eli Hoffmann Sources say SoftBank is rumored to be participating in the upcoming auction of broadcast spectrum to wireless carriers. SoftBank might acquire the spectrum by setting up a new company, which later sells or swaps it as it sees fit. SoftBank said on March 7 it would split into two companies, one managing SoftBank’s Japanese media and telecom businesses, and one managing overseas operations like Sprint and Alibaba. It's unclear if either of these companies or another entity would purchase spectrum. The move could be a way to acquire low bandwidth spectrum for Sprint (NYSE:S), which lags competitors in ownership of lower bandwidth spectrum. Source: CTFN Softbank will bid in the upcoming spectrum auction - sources http://seekingalpha.com/news/3166294?source=ansh $S, $SFTBF, $SFTBY Well there is goes Tmobile plan to grab all reserved spectrum Edit This is a rumor but if it's turn out to be true, this might give Sprint a, huge boots.

  7. No to mention 2014 was spent on the whole Tmobile stuff instead of coming with a densification project plan. We had to wait until 2015 for them to draw plans for it. The folks at Overland Park need to understand that the twin bells might not overreact fast regarding phone plans and promotions, but when it comes to network they will move right away especially Verizon who bet the company future on wireless. They will not allow to be threatened in that business.
  8. Seriously this is basically marketing, and I read a lot of articles about the race for the faster network in America. Nokia networks executives to Verizon in 2015 :Well Lowell looks like Sprint is about to become the faster LTE network network in America. They have a huge advantage on spectrum. Verizon executives :we can't allows that to happen, we need to come with a gimmick like 5g faux. Sprint will clobber us if we just keep the same tech we have now. Anyways in a serious note Verizon will have to do carrier aggregation in all bands they own in order to match Sprint speeds. Final note. the purpose of the 8T8R anntenas is to eventually deploy 8x8 MIMO when that tech is available years from now, let's see how big red Mach that.
  9. Probably Verizon, and on top of that they will continue to stamp android phones on the back 5G super LTE network. Then Tmobile will be the first one to react to Verizon since Legere is now at war with big red.
  10. Acting like a child when he doesn't get his way. As much progress Tmobile has done, they still lags the big two. Now the funny thing is, Legere is so arrogant that he is trying to go against Verizon. I have a Verizon line, and I know friends and family members use them, and the reason why they pay Verizon big bucks is because something called reliability. Does Oakla test reliability? I don't think so.
  11. Correct me if I am wrong, but I always hear Sprint control an average of 120mhz of 2.5ghz spectrum in top 100 markets. I know New York City:), Chicago and LA are some of them. What are the others cities that Sprint brag about 2.5ghz spectrum rich? Just to clarify I think they only will need 60mhz of it anyways.
  12. This is what Sprint planned in 2014 for 2015 and beyond: 3x channel CA at 2x2 Mimo 330 megabits down 3x CA at 4x4 MIMO 660 megabits down 3x CA at 8x8 MIMO 1320 aka gigabits The so called magical 8T8R 2.5gz anntenas that magentans love to mock are network future proof and they are actually for when 8x8 MIMO becomes available years down the road. http://www.lightreading.com/mobile/4g-lte/sprint-promises-180mbit-s-peaks-in-2015/d/d-id/709518
  13. Come on man LOL Staten Island is the beta testing borough for the telecommunication companies here in NYC. Verizon deployed FIOS Internet there first back in 2006. IT was TWC first borough to go all-digital killing analog and helping deploy of HD channels at once back in early 2008, it was also one of the first places where Verizon wireless LTE network was spotted in 2008.
  14. That what you would call scamming customers. That company cant do nothing wrong in the eyes of loyalists, and tech blogs.
  15. That would be a mistake in part of Sprint. They will get hammer in ads with that coverage issue. In fact Tmobile is using Metro PCS to go after Sprint, and already hitting them with the coverage part.
  16. Because Verizon is the standard of the industry: Best nationwide network, most customers especially high ARPU postpaid customers. It is not because he doesn't despise Sprint, but he feels like he already beaten them. Sprint to Legere are nobody, just a company trying to survive with heavy load of debts, image problems etc. He doesn't want to go after AT&T because Ma Bell has the DireTV, Uverse strategy. ATT terrifies Legere with that unlimted promo.
  17. Levi's Stadium is the first NFL facility that has a state of art wifi network anyways. 70 Miles of cabling which are for WIFI only.
  18. I guess they are getting affected by the ATT unlimited DirecTV plan of 180 dollars.
  19. Sprint needs a lot of work, and the pace with that NGN needs to pick up fast. The tech blogs are beating them badly today. I didn't expect anything different since they need a carrier to hate, and Sprint is the one. There are a lot of old Sprint single bands 25 device out there GS3, HTC Evo LTE, and M7. Those devices plus Sprint coverage holes having affecting this study. Also Kevin fitchard is a Sprint hater since his days at Gigaom. I hate to say it but Sprint has a big network perception problem. Pink Mobile can assault Net neutrality, and they will keep getting a pass from these jokers.
  20. That is what happens when you give a lot of free candies away, Now Mr. Periscope has them eating from his hands. He basically built a cult. The people do speed tests getting less than one megabits down, and the excuse is: tower congested, dont worry about it will be fixed. In the other hands, they keep talking crap about the Sprint service when in reality they don't even use it. These people are ignorants, but they are terrifying because its basically a cult.
  21. Obviously at Magentan land they are defending their carrier, and calling this study garbage. Yup these budget Hipsters calling a study from one of the great American Universities garbage seems to be very educated.
  22. Verizon and T are never telling the world what they are doing with their network. I am glad Sprint is taking that approach because the haters in the tech media and trolls will shred their goals to the ground if they disclose what they will do.
