  1. Very nice. I've no real interest in Windows phones, but the people I know that have them are pretty happy with them. The more LTE/Phone options Sprint has to offer the better.
  2. Speaking of funding Clearwire, looks like Sprint is trying to raise a few $$ http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-02-27/sprint-to-raise-2-billion-in-debt-may-use-to-fund-clearwire.html
  3. Huawei is bringing the quad core KV32 to a tablet, the first "10in" tablet they claim. I guess because the Prime is a 10.1" that statement is true?
  4. Man, if this thing is in Sprint's nextflag ship I just might be on board with that!
  5. Yeah, there really is no need for a data plan with a Tablet. I have the 2gig plan with Sprint which at the time was the lowest available. I've never gone over a gig. I've been considering going down to the 1gig plan for 19.99$, but know that the second I do it, I'll be running over the limit in no time
  6. Hmm, I haven't seen that. I've left my on, and on the charger over night a couple of times, and haven't noticed anything? To bring it back you need to push the reset button?
  7. Haven't had any experience with an LG device. Did you see they announced a 'phablet' also? The LG Optimus Vu. 5"in screen with a 4:3 ratio. Running the S4.
  8. AT&Ts version of the ONE-X will be running the S4 also. Seems like the rest of the world will see quad cores, and the USA will use the S4 in their phones(AT&T/T-Mobile)
  9. I just read that a Volume down, Volume Up, and a Power combo will turn most devices off when in a bootloop. Haven't tried it, so I'm not sure if thats an option
  10. Yeah, so I gotta rely on open networks, if I ever bring it out. I have the 3G Tab through Sprint that I take out with me.
  11. Yeah, its almost all while on my home or work network. I try to use my cell data as littlevas possible. Regardless of the unlimited state.
  12. That's the truth. Since I've gotten my Prime I've been through almost 3.5 gigs, and I've only had it a week. Most of that is initial setup and extra data required for some games though.
  13. LMAO, its almost worth the try it and return it policy! Just so we can see the looks on people's faces~ But you do have a good point on the unlimited data, that would be nice!
  14. And man that billboard is huge!
  15. If this will be fully functional as a phone, I am getting it! Can you imagine the size of the dialer on this thing! No more mis-dialed calls!
  16. Yeah, its their first in house one, K3V2 http://www.androidpo...artphone-title/ Includes their press release http://www.phonearena.com/news/Huawei-brings-home-grown-K3V2-quad-core-A9-based-processor_id27328 I guess they pit it up against the Tegra 3, and its preformed better
  17. Yeah, MWC will be a GSM fest.. and all we can do is window shop~
  18. Yeah, I'd have to say I am very happy with the Prime. I don't have any of the issues that people talk about on the forums. Which leads me to believe it really is a true small % of the Primes that actually have the problems. I've tested my WiFi and GPS in numerous locations and I've got great signal on both. I can lock GPS inside and outside within seconds/ No random reboots, freezes or anything of the like. So if anyone is actually consider buying one, I say leave right now and go get it!! That said, I've knocked on wood with every comment I posted about above
  19. They are claiming, for right now, the world's fastest smart phone. Quad cores @ 1.5Ghz. Also only 8.9mm thick with a 1800mAh battery that they say will last 1-2 days with 'normal' usage. Not sure what they consider 'normal' but 1-2 days is pretty vague. I'm guessing they are saying they can achieve that due to their proprietary power management technology they are claiming. Launching in Q2 of this year..they also have two other variants, one of with ships with a 2500mAh battery~
  20. Nice to see some additional outside support for this Tab. There were numerous people pleading on the forums for a dev to release ICS for it, glad that they can finally get their fix!
  21. Another update, 9.2.4.15. I guess ASUS used some 'beta' testers over on XDA before releasing this one. And it was a pretty good experience overall. I was reading some of the issues it was supposed to have address, and all seem very happy with this update. People have said their Prime's run even better. Not sure if I'd notice because mine is running great as it is! The random reboots, and battery drain is supposedly fixed also, although this was another issue that wasn't seen on my Prime either. http://www.transform...2-4-15-a-5.html http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1503079 to read about the .14 firmware and beta testing of .15 I've also read that they recommend you do a full reboot before the update, along with one after. Going to push the update through now. I'll let you know if I run into any issues. *Edit* First issue. Seems its not available for me yet! lol..I'll check again in the morning..
  22. Not sure on the screen. You'd think they would separate hardware and software and treat it as a separate warranty. They were talking about ways to unlock it without having to send your serial to Asus. But they are saying the issue is that the bootloader is not only locked, but encrypted also. They are currently looking to see if the key that Asus sends back to each user is unique to the cpu serial, or just the same key over and over again.. which I doubt..
  23. Yes sir. Once you download v4.5, and root your device it will be option 5. It will unlock your device first, so it pushs the unlock tool to the Prime. So you run that, ASUS gives you the unlock warning, no longer covered and other stuff. So once you agree to all that, it will download an additional file, ask for your google password to verify that its your device. Reboot, and unlock it. Then once you are fully rebooted, you push enter to continue on vipermod, and it pushes CWM to the Prime, and it tells you how to get to recovery.
  24. Will do! Please do the same if you find anything also! Not sure if your a big gamer or not. But I put ShadowGun THD on there and synced up a PS3 Controller and it looks/plays great.
  25. Ahh yeah, maybe they are the admirals. I haven't looked at them since they first got em. Maybe I'll ask to check em out to see if things have improved. I'm still on an old Nextel.
