Yeah, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I guess thats how they can offer the Kindle Fire HDs at such a low price, because the ads are stuck on the lock screen. Which ins't bad, my lock screen is normally up for all about 5 secs before I unlock it or turn the screen off.

Do the ads on the lock screen for all the Kindle Fire HD models turn anyone off?

Anyone follow the press release? What do you guys think of the new Kindle Fire HD? $299 for the 8.9" model is a pretty nice price point. If I could root that and throw some JB goodness on there I might consider it. $300 seems like it could be the next price step for a Nexus 10

It was actually the price savings we would have over Sprint. We were an independent company up until 8 months ago or so. Then we got swallowed up by Sonepar, who is massive, and has pretty hefty discounts with Verizon. We aren't using PTT at all anymore. Just going the bluetooth route for our drivers, and smartphones for everyone here in the office. But I think pricing was the biggest motivator. Even with paying some ETFs we'd end up saving long term with Verizon. Not sure on the details, but thats just what I was told, as the decision came from our corp office. Our drivers had/have the Duraxt, and when they first got them there were a lot of complaints. But since a couple of updates they've been pretty pleased with the results overall.

Most look like you need to be a new customer altogether. Amazon has it listed for $79.99 for new customers, $119 with add-a-line, and still $149 for upgrades..

Nice. I'd get them at $62 since I have free 2-day shipping(Prime) and no tax, still better then most places

I wonder how much this will change when the iPhone 5 is released. I know a couple of people that are waiting on it. I know my wife is waiting for the 5 to come out.. she eligable for an upgrade, but has said for a couple of months that she wants an iPhone. Took all it had, but I decided to stay with her regardless of that fact

Just received the update this morning. Brightness adjustment in the notification bar is nice. Also received the flip cover case this afternoon, via UPS. Love it. Compliments the GS3 perfectly.
