  1. Our coverage is about the same. The devices could use some work though. Sometimes it would take a second or two for the SDC devices to connect to the network and start transmitting. There was a recent update that helped out tremendously though The 3G on them is horrible, at least it was when they first got the units, which was about a month ago or so. I haven't had a chance to test them. They are both using the Motorola Titanium
  2. We actually use the SDC devices here at work. Half of our staff are on the old Nextel PTT devices, and the other half are using the Motorola SDC units.
  3. I did the same thing with my lines. I'll be using that 50$ off here in 5 months~ I have my brother-in-law on our plan and we actually bought his Evo 4G through the Shack, was a overall good experience. Rebate was applied in-store instead of mail-in. But it was like you said, one clerk to service the entire store.
  4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441329 Its just a tool to overclock to 1.6ghz. Not sure if I'll do it though, because they said you'd, of course, drain the battery faster as the CPU will stay around 1.6ghz. People have also said they haven't noticed a big difference, only because the Prime runs great as it is in stock form. The only obv difference is in the benchmark testing.
  5. 802.11ac in the S4 http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/02/23/qualcomm-to-integrate-802-11ac-into-snapdragon-s4-get-ready-for-433mbps-wi-fi-on-your-phone/
  6. It'd almost be like our local utility if you have solar panels. They buyback any unused energy at the end of your billing cycle, and credit your account.
  7. No, I still gotta flash it. The version of ViperMod didn't have it built into it yet, but they say all I have to do is get the latest version and the option is on there. Gonna put that on there. I don't think the blob method is necessary if you use the latest version of vipermod, as it does that stuff for you. I think the blob file is only used if your going to use the adb method. Have you checked out vipercontrol? The results are crazy with a little OC, though I'm gonna wait a few days now they have it unlocked, viperboy may be able to customize it a little better.
  8. Yes sir. There is already a beta rom out on XDA~ Although I'm not sure if I'll ROM this sucker yet. Tested my Wireless speeds around the house, no matter where I went they hovered around 10.5mpbs, which I am more than happy with! Ordered the Grey keyboard dock as well today~
  9. I've always used Sprint Online, just because it was convienient. Think I'm gonna give Best Buy Mobile a try this next time around.
  10. Starting reading this article, just finished the first 'chapter' , its like a mini novel!
  11. Wow.. that stabilzation was nice! And the gestures are mini Kinect like~
  12. My WiFi works fine. Haven't really messed with GPS, its turned on but didn't check the signals or satellite lock. Weather updated just fine though, when I wasn't on a network or anything. So I'm assuming it had to get the location from GPS. I rooted before I put ICS on. But ViperMOD does say its first two root methods are for the ICS version on the Prime. I'll check out my GPS here in a few. Just put a screen protector on it, so I'm gonna give it about an hour or so. I'll see if that thing will stay on or not, lol..
  13. Yeah man. Just got home so I can play with it a little bit more. Are you gonna get a case for it? Or a screen protector? I'm super paranoid with my devices when they are new!! Have you upgraded to ICS yet? *Edit* Just finished upgrading, took about 5-10mins. Went to restore root with VooDoo, and just like that. Root back. Very nice. Also, WiFi wasn't an issue at my work, nor is it here at my house also. GPS however is pretty much non-existent.
  14. Rooting and unrooting was very straight forward, and took a whole 2mins~ I wanted to test the unroot, just in case. But ViperMOD is a great tool. Downloaded the VooDoo OTA Rootkeeper,'backed up' root and will try that once I dl the update and apply it..
  15. Oh man.. just got this guy in. Will report back shortly on root and whatnot~
  16. LOL. I honestly can't remember my experience with it too much. Guess that says alot. I actually powered it on a couple weeks back, and it loaded up with a version of CM on it.
  17. My last two phones have been HTC. Had the Hero when it was first released, and I'm on the EVO 4G. I've been or have been fairly happy with both. But I am looking to Samsung for my next device possibly.
  18. That second post has some great info! Kinda makes you think...'quad core what??'
  19. Yeah I noticed it was GSM too, they said MAYBE a CDMA version would be out in August or so, rumors anyways. I was just reading about the S4 also, the tests have been amazing. Here is another one from Android Police http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/02/21/new-1-5ghz-qualcomm-snapdragon-s4-msm8960-dual-core-cpu-benchmarked-absolutely-blows-the-socks-off-all-other-publicly-released-phone-cpus/
  20. Think that the latter is what its called now. Haven't seen a comfirmed line up of carriers yet. But do you think Sprint will see this? HTC has stated they want to be amoung the first out with the quad core. 1.5Ghz and a gig of RAM, with a 4.7in display. Guess we will find out more with MWC this weekend..
  21. I haven't played with one either. I've messed around with a friends Nook Tablet, hes rooted it and thrown the market on there so its not so bad. I would think they would have to at least put some more RAM, along with more storage on the thing, maybe even a little better display. All depends on the price point really I guess overall though.
  22. Looking at the ViperMOD screen shots, it looks like there is an unroot option. So you'd 'think' we should be able to unroot, and just do a factory reset. Then you'd be good to know. Wouldn't know for sure unless we'd tried it though. Haven't read much into unrooting it, yet.
  23. There is a video on XDA, the guy used ViperMOD, it also prompts you to get OTA Root Keeper, which seems like a good idea also. Think I'll give that one a go Tuesday. Most likely root first, then go for the OTA
  24. I'll jump on XDA or Rootzwiki for the most part. Haven't gone hunting in awhile though. I was bouncing on all the alphas of ICS when they first started rolling out. Was tired of the random reboots every 30mins or so.
