  1. Was just messing around with my phone, and checked for a PRL update. Lo and behold,I was updated to 55020. As always,I have no idea if that's pertinent to any "good news" on the way. *sigh (again)*
  2. Here's what my local Sprint guy sent me: http://www.androidcentral.com/sprints-reworked-framily-plans-bring-more-data-less-through-2015
  3. I would miss the dual front-facing speakers like the Ones
  4. I picked up my One (M7) and saw a "service update complete" message, but I have no idea what it was. I tried switching from CDMA Only to Automatic and CDMA/LTE, but it seems to have had no impact on my phone's unhappiness with eHRPD. Anyone else notice this update?
  5. So, I was inspired to chat with nTelos support again today, and, lo and behold!, live chat is no longer available! Hmmmm . . . At this point, it seems like keeping hope alive involves an ICU and respiratory support!
  6. Another chance to ride by Waynesboro yesterday, and still no 4G love. Couldn't even keep a data connection on anything but CDMA Only setting. :'(
  7. I tried to set up WiFi calling on my wife's GS5 using our home network, but it gave me a Network connection error. I wondered if that were because we're in nTelos land without native Sprint service. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!
  8. I would assume that, being in nTelos land, that this is not available to me now. Any idea if it could be after they upgrade?
  9. Yes, and when that happens to me in nTelos land, I lose data connection, as evidenced by the "Mobile Data: Unregistered" message in your screenshot. (When I do have a functioning data connection and also on Wi-Fi, it reads "Mobile Data: Inactive".)
  10. I passed by Waynesboro on I-64 this evening, and no 4G. At least I was able to switch from CDMA Only to Automatic and not lose data. Oddly, when I do that, data still works when I'm back in my home area.
  11. Any update? I've recently experienced only some of the threads showing in the list, and cycling through as I scroll down. Very strange . . .
  12. As of today, I'm back to having to set Mobile Networks to CDMA Only, as it will otherwise go to HRPD which cuts my connectivity. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  13. A bit more network wonkiness today. No data despite OK EVDO signal on SC. However, it displayed that data was not authorized. Switched from LTE/CDMA to CDMA Only, still no go (with good signal on SC). Restarted the phone, turned data off and on, toggled Airplane Mode, all to no avail. I was starting too worry about a hardware issue, then tried setting Mobile Networks to Automatic, and, voila, data connected. An odd mix of frustration and expectation for 4G, hopefully next month as mentioned. Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  14. If that really was a Shentel signal, then I CERTAINLY would like them to come! :-D Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  15. Not likely, as it hasn't appeared before, and too far. I do wish Shentel would come fix us up! Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  16. Ah, OK. I still wonder why that blip showed up in the first place. I wondered if it was some sort of test signal visible to the phone prior to full implementation. Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  17. So, I took a little trip to Waynesboro today to gather some info. My HTC One has been happy with Mobile Networks set on CDMA/LTE and being connected to EVDO for the past few weeks. Just west of Afton, SC picked up a weak LTE signal that never changed, and never triggered the phone into 4G mode. It persisted through several tower changes. On my way out of Waynesboro, I thought to update my profile and PRL in case that was inhibiting 4G, but it actually killed the reception of that weak constant signal. I have no idea what any of this means, but wanted to post my screenshots to stimulate those more knowledgeable than I to offer their explanations. West of Afton on I-64: Waynesboro exit off I-64: In Waynesboro itself: EVDO engineering screens in Waynesboro: I hope this is useful to someone! David Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  18. No text for me in C'ville so far . . . still waiting for the SC alert. Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not believing anything until I hear that sweet chime sound from Signal Check :-) Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  20. I've not noticed anything much, certainly nothing dramatic. I'm waiting until late July to allow myself any serious hopefulness or disappointment. Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  21. Is there way to know if HD voice will be possible when nTelos upgrades their network? Sent from my TouchPad using Tapatalk
  22. What's the best way for me to monitor for any rollout of LTE here in nTelos-land? I have and use Signal Check Pro regularly to monitor, and have the LTE alert set to "on". I know it from hearing it on previous travels. Should I also check the LTE engineering screens, or is that redundant to having SC let me know? Thanks!
