    Google Pixel 7

Just got 14 on my 7a a couple of days ago.
  2. I just noticed that the tower serving my home is now labeled "Sprint Keep" as seen in this SCP screenshot. Maybe this is Mike's terminology?
  3. My wife works in Staunton, and she struggles with poor connection since changing to TMo SIM. I reported the address through My Sprint app (we've not yet switched accounts). Anything else we can do to address this?
  4. Another update: After spending several hours on the phone with Sprint ppl (who were very nice and polite, just ineffectual), taking complete notes (with names and quoted dollar amounts), and emailing/tweeting Sprint, I finally heard back from someone today who did more than read me a script. The full contested amount was adjusted off the bill "as a one time courtesy" today. 😁 👍
  5. Update: I have spent hours on the phone over the last few weeks with various pleasant and polite peons who read me scripts, promised me that it was "escalated" to the "back office", etc. One of these people mentioned a specific $ figure of possible correction, which I have quoted back. I have had two case #s. No call back today as was promised last weekend. I had to cancel Auto Pay when they extended my bill due date. (They did credit me with the potential lost $5/line discount lost with that.) Today, I emailed Sprint Customer Care with all the specifics, tweeted @t-mobilehelp, and emailed Mike Sievert a copy of my Sprint email. With our using TM SIMs but billed through Sprint (still), I get ping ponged back and forth. My wife points out this is what it's like to be the child of divorced parents. Hmmm . . .
  6. From the web site you provided: When you're outside the U.S. (international roaming) If you have an unlimited plan: When in a Simple Global country, calls are $0.25/min for roaming (same as cellular).
  7. Called Sprint this am. Those 3 calls were on WiFi calling (coded on bill as VW/IR), and I was charged $3/min(!). It sounded like they thought she was calling from the USA to Ireland, rather than internal to Ireland. They have "escalated" this and will call me back in 5 days, hopefully with good news.
  8. Further update: Just got the bill for this period, and there were NO data charges for any of our phones! So, without doing anything, receiving any prompts, etc., we were just roaming on the network (almost always Eir, IIRC) with LTE service. However, there was a very large surprise with 3 lengthy calls on my daughter's phone which I am "investigating". They may very have been her on the phone trying to rebook cancelled flights(!).
  9. Update: Throughout my time in Ireland, I've been on 4G (LTE) via Global Roaming with no issues. Nothing from Sprint/TMo re upgrading service. Hopefully, no bad surprises on my next bill . . . Installed new TMo SIM in my daughter's phone while here, and she's had no data whatsoever. I had received mixed responses from TMo folks prior to the trip as to whether that was possible.
  10. Thanks, @Redspark! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a response from either Sprint customer service or T-Mobile this evening. Seems like I'll get at least passable data for navigation, and hopefully will be surprised with better. I thought Unlimited Freedom was a good plan, but things probably changed over the years. 😉
  11. Bumping this for any response. Any info about internat'l travel anywhere on Sprint would be helpful! TIA!
  12. This again affirms my choice to remain on Sprint SIM here in Shentel land. I dread the trauma of changeover when it occurs . . .
  13. Will be in Ireland for 10 days in June. Have Pixel 3a (other fam members with 1 Samsung, iPhones, and another Pixel) with Sprint SIM (still). What can I expect in terms of calls and data while there?
  14. Yeah, we're still rocking our Sprint Sims (for the reasons I stated above) 😀
  15. I totally agree with chamb! I see in SCPro the same towers, even if the color bar has changed to magenta on some, and the label is now usually "T-Mobile/Sprint" B2 or whatever band/freq.
  16. As a resident of Albemarle, I completely agree. Shentel's management of the network here has been so good, that any change looks potentially worse. I, of course, sincerely hope that my pessimism will not be rewarded . . .
  17. Can't say, as I don't have a 5G capable phone yet. Is it really worth it?
  18. Woke up to this notification this am. Tapping the notification does nothing. Went into My Sprint app and saw the offer to get a TMo SIM for their "bigger + better network". Tapped on that (with no intention of following through), and got a pop-up re "technical difficulties, try again in a few minutes". Any insights?
  19. TMo coverage here has historically been bad, so I'm not surprised they're still using Sprint (Shentel) towers. Hoping they mostly transition them.
  20. Seems that fits with the delay in the acquisition of Shentel's wireless assets until just recently.
