Oh yes I should mention the app is not perfect with B41 detection on several devices.. I was only pointing out that the specific problem on Samsung phones is their enginerrs, not me
I have caught a few quick shots of B41 on my N5 in LTE-only mode this week, but it's still very rare and nothing near where I live yet, despite some Clear towers nearby. Makes it hard to troubleshoot. If I could even find a parking lot nearby where I could connect to it easily, I'd set up shop in my Jeep and figure it out!

Hey Mike I was in no way putting down the app. I appreciate all the hard work you put into SCP. Without it we would not half of the information that we have in most of the markets that are being tracked.
Keep up the good work

Yea I saw I was connected to band 41 on the engineering screen but I didn't see it on signal check pro
Signal Check sometimes have issues reporting B41 correctly. Sometimes it will report B41 in the provider portion and sometimes it doesn't. In the MO market B41 towers start with a different set of numbers so that how we can identify B41 vs B25/B26.

Gotcha. I know I've seen B26, I just have yet to see B41 show up when I've looked. I might try disabling B26 and B25 today to force it to look for B41 just to see where it's available around here (Baltimore market).
You can not disable B25.

...Band 41 makes a difference, eh?!
We've traveled in the Disney and Cocoa Beach area again; WDW has holes but is improving. Cocoa Beach is wonderful; Facetiming on the waterfront (and not far from sharks, apparently!) back home worked splendidly.
Not quite sure I understand your post. Are you asking if B41 works?

What is the condition of it physically since your daughter had it?I had my G2 since it launched back in Nov 2013...never a problem.. Until the day back in May when my 2 year-old daughter decided to grab daddy's phone from the porch outside and take it swimming with her. I was working on my old 1974 Ford F100 and I happened to think "I don't have my phone, where did I leave it"..then it was that 'oh sh*t' moment...and when I looked at her, she had my phone just dowsing it up and down in water.
By the time I got to her, it was off already....and I tried taking it from the otterbox and putting in rice.....left it for 3-4 days.
So I left immediately and went to get a GS5...
I nearly cried because I LOVED my G2..
I figured it was ruined, so I let my daughter keep playing with it. Tried a couple times, like a month later, to plug it in and charge it...no luck. Wouldn't even flash any lights.
So, you'd think after 2 months of sitting and you plug it in, and nothing happens that the phone is a lost cause, right?
Apparently not. I picked it up yesterday, just happened to "find" it because I really didn't keep up with what my daughter has been using it for (she's used it as a hammer, carried it around, played with it while eating sticky sh*t...literally just abused it like a 2 year-old would abuse anything electronic).....
And I found it, so I decided to hit the power button. It hasn't been plugged up to anything since June...and when I hit power, it came on.
Granted it only had 3% battery...it still came on..
So I plugged it in and let it charge. Located the SIM tray and card that it had in it...reinserted it while it was charging...
It hit 100% charge and I turned it on. The phone still has my number in the programming, so it caused my G3 to freak out for a minute...but I put it in airplane mode, and it's been on since yesterday around 11am. Right now, it still shows 72% battery..
Check out how long it says is left on the battery:

Now what do I do with this thing??? I hate to keep it as a spare, it still seems to be a good phone, and everything works (camera, mic, speaker, etc). I just got an extra phone now, thanks to just by chance turning it on to see what it would do yesterday.

The Note 3 is a single band phone. Only gets B25Note 3 is fine because I believe it is a dual band phone.
-
Forgive me for my ignorance..I put that into the dialer?? Then what? How do I get out once I'm in?? Thanks
Once you hit the last # it will automatically take you to the next menu. Click Device test. Individual Item. Touch Draw Test - Manual. It will ask you to hold the power down and you give you options. after that is complete scroll to the bottom and hit back to main then it should say exit.

She just finished loading her pictures to snapfish..that's all she had really..
I know I'm late but you could always use the Photos icon on Android and you can have it setup to automatically back up pictures. So when you log back in with your Google account those pictures are still there and can also be accessed from a computer.

For all you Rams fans
This is from the ground level inside the dome tonight. Went to the first level and the signal improved.

So, as to not quote myself.. Lol
I ran the ZV7 tot and can confirm there was no baseband change from ZV7 to ZV8, it changed from ZV8 to ZVA as well as from ZVA to ZVC but did not from ZVC to ZVD.

So then is there really an issue when people are saying that they are getting stuck on 3G and it not switching back over to LTE?
-
It shows that I added it in the logs, for 2 different PCI's even.

That is the same thing I get on my G2. It is a issue with the way B41 reports he told me a while back and will try to work on it when he has time.
-
You would think but it did nothing for it. Only a reboot fixes it. This is not the first time. If it happens again I will be taking it to Sprint for a replacement. Why would you need to reboot? wouldn't toggling airplane mode do the trick?
-
My G2 was working fine though.I had the same issue on my G3 this morning.
-
Anybody have issues where the phone just doesn't show any data connection but SCP shows a LTE connection? Takes a reboot to get the data back.
-
It was not forced, but that is because im running baseband .15 on my N5. So normal phones would not connect unless forced.
You got me with your phone in your profile. Glad you said you had the N5 cause this is starting to make some sense to me now. I've been getting kicked to 3G on 270 near 70 area and I assumed it to be a tower near there but didn't feel like driving the entire area to find it. Pretty sure this is what has been kicking me.
-
This is FeeFee @70, if this tower can get LTE there is hope for all. It's basically just a small telephone poll.
Was this forced LTE? I thought that tower would never get LTE due to the size of the telephone it is on. This is very good news.
-
No 4G at home tonight. Hope this means they are turning on and optimizing B26.
Where are you?
-
Hmm, so is there some kind of outage going on in the area? I haven't had lte since 830-9ish pm 7/22/2014
My phone was working fine
-
SO if i have been able to knock on since i got the phone...about a mth ago...does this mean i already have the update???
ZVD was just released the other day. No other version had knock on prior to this. Are you referring to knock on my just double tapping the phone? If so that is not the knock on that came with ZVD.

Double barrel

Just a suggestion. Might want to put this in your market thread to get a quicker response
