    LG G3

I like this TPU case better than plastic ones. adds no bulk and the headphone jack works fine even with my headphones that have a thick base on the plug.

I think for wiping data you can use ADB commands over USB

    A couple questions

    1. What is the feel of the case (slippery or grippy)

    2. Can a audio cable plug into the bottom without having to remove the case?

I prefer no case either because I still use the aux jack to play my music through my car radio and the belkin cable I have isn't to friendly with most cases.

  1. The G2 is perfect size for me and I've gradually adjusted to the phone size increases over the last few years but I've tried the G3/Note 4 and they're just too big.

I loved my G2 and still do but the G3 and the GPS was worth the upgrade. I love the G3. My wife said she didn't like the G2 and went back to her S4T. So my son is rocking the G2.

  2. Hmmm, interesting, so far it's looking more like a sprint issue. Never had it happen on my Verizon phone and no issue when I'm connected to WiFi.

I only have it when not on Wi-Fi. I can also believe it is Sprint only. That tcp issue I mention was found on a Sprint site I think. It is very frustrating when talking to people about it. Not really sure who or how to complain to Sprint about it
  3. Has anyone else encountered this. When someone send me messages over Google hangouts sometimes, not as SMS or MMS but as straight data, for some reason sometimes the messages will take up to like 20 mins before they pop through. Now if I open the app and check, they will come in right then. It doesn't do it all the time, only sometimes. Anyone else experienced this?

Happens all the time. Not sure if the information I have is correct but it something to be with TCP closing prematurely and waiting on the next heartbeat interval. I did a google search a while ago and found that information. Not sure if it happens on all carriers or just Android. But that same thing also happens with all my push notifications not just Hangout.

I got mine Tuesday night and my battery life has improved

I don't stay off my phone long enough to tell if it improved.

    LG G3

I've tried that before on older versions on lte and thought it had to buffer but it seemed to either take a long time or not switch to 1080p(at the time) I don't have wifi so I can't test that :/

    Sent from my LG G3.

I will have to test on LTE later. Having issues with my phone not receiving text right now. I switched my number over to my old S3 and it works fine receiving text. Might have to get a new phone.

Seems to be 1440p is back on my youtube app with the material design update. Now the only issue I'm having is when I open the quality options to select 1440p I have to click it a few times before it actually selects it.

It has to buffer to that quality. If you click it once it will just take a second or two to buffer. I just did it on Wi-Fi and it worked right away.

  4. No doubt, I am on the family share pack plan & only looking at used off contract. These are going under 200 on swappa and often even less on craigslist

If you rely on GPS for anything I would stay away. I love the phone overall.
  5. You can always send it my way. :P  If you don't already have one, buy a Roku.  Best purchase ever.

Debating putting to an Xbox One. Might ask for Best Buy GCs for Xmas.

  6. So my GPS is now acting up. I am going to get a new phone really soon. I love the G2 but I am having trouble with the GPS as others are and it seems flawed hardware... So I am afraid to go with LG again. Last night it could not keep a lock on me and I needed navigation to work... So frustrating. Would you guys recommend the G3 or Samsung Galaxy S5?

I haven't heard any complaints. Try hoping on those phone's threads and as the users that have them. I know the G3 doesn't have the GPS issues that the G2 has. I might get one this weekend

  7. I gave up on Google Voice sprint integration. I recognize that I wasn't getting HD Voice and it was also causing some calls to not go through! A little too buggy and making me have a perceived by experience of Sprint! Only using it for voicemail now

Did you disable the Sprint / Google Voice integration in your Google account? I had that same issue until I disabled it.
  8. It's my right to complain :P I have the worst carrier in the U.S. (Well except Chicago or Tampa). No I'm sorry if I'm whining. (I am) I can't switch back to the Death Star (had AT&T before) They're fast and all but I would go over my data every month due to no telco servicing my house with Internet. Now Sprint... Well it was okay when I first got them (back in February.) Service though has gone downhill, b25 and b26 are saturated at all times of the day and sometimes there is no data at all (even 3G) at my house. Do you understand my pain? And then take into consideration Austin Texas is a market with pretty much all clear wire band 41 sites. Downtown you're lucky to get 10 Mbps at the fastest. Sprint just isn't too good here and I see complaining as a way to get others opinions and make-shift time frames for deployment of b41. Have a good day though. :) Well what's left of the day.

My suggestion is to upgrade to premier so you can see the schedule of the towers near you.
