  1. With the new update i'm having issues with Quiet Mode not enabling as well the alarm not working. Ah well....

I had the same issue with quiet mode. Took a couple restarts and toggling it on and off.
  2. The G2 is flaky but I think I might be able to implement a workaround that might resolve that.. I'm still working on it. It is frustrating because the app will report it properly if the device would report it properly.  What do you mean by "it would have been nicer to get a better site band label"?

LTE neighbor cells report their PCI. Site notes are shown for that PCI and the currently connected TAC.. so it's usually the right note, but there is a chance it could be wrong if the TAC is actually not the same. There's no way for the app check that though.

If you need a G2 lab rat let me know. I can help you out if you don't have anybody in your group.

  3. I haven't updated to ZVE firmware yet.  Are there improvements on LTE connectivity and worth updating to?

Hard to tell in a mature market. I will say that a certain stretch of a road I travel I can maintain the signal where I normally lose it. But I wouldn't go off of that if I were you.

  4. weird i went to go change it and it was 3 but was still showing 3000 for some reason. but its showing correctly now after that.

Mine was the same when I updated to ZVD. So you should be good now.

  5. I just got updated to ZVE and went into ##DATA# and noticed that the BSRTimer was still at 3000. I thought it was supposed to update that?

Same here just updated to ZVE about 7 hrs ago or so and mine still at 3000 as well.

If you guys know your msl go in there and change. If you don't know it call Sprint and get it.
  6. I just saw your report.. your G2 is not reporting the PLMN properly. Has it been sleeping around with a Samsung and contracted that disease? ;)

It is reporting the PLMN in another area that is a newer Android routine that most phones don't use yet. I seem to recall some similar reports from G2 users when the phone was first released.. I thought it was resolved with a radio update, but perhaps I just ignored it instead. Have you ever seen anything besides 310120 in any version of SignalCheck?

    -Mike

It reports both. Just depends on the tower. Some towers report correctly. I've only been on that one Clear tower since doing the update. I will be out and about more tomorrow.

  7. I'm not sure what you are talking about but we have had fully functioning Google Wallet since day one. Install, setup, buy stuff with phone. [emoji3] [emoji106]

    Tap and pay?

  8. Just to be clear, it would only affect 311490/311870 entries.. nothing else would be touched. Are you still seeing null entries? I thought those were few and far between; what is showing as null? If you're not seeing much more than a GCI and site note, that's because you saved a site note when the Site Logger wasn't running -- it's how the app was designed, to keep things efficient. I am considering changing that since the neighbor cells use PCI, so if you never run the :ogger, you'll never see a site note on a neighbor cell.

    -Mike

I have the site logger running all the time. The last occurrence of this happened on the 19th and 20th of this month. It shows null for the GCI and gives me the PCI number.

  9. I have been swamped at work and haven't had a chance to finish buttoning up the next beta update (which I need to have out there for a couple days before I can push a public update), but I should have that wrapped up very soon. Also, because of the "sticky" PLMN issue until now, I'm thinking of automatically blasting away all log entries that are listed as 311490 or 311870. I was going to do it silently in the background, but I wonder if some folks had saved some data they know is valid and don't want to lose it. I don't want to complicate the issue too much because a majority of users are not going to have any idea of the problem, but I know a lot of entries with these PLMNs are invalid -- on my own device, 90% of them were bogus.

Any thoughts? I could prompt everyone on first launch after upgrade, but again, it's only a small subset of users who will be adversely affected.

    -Mike

Whatever is easiest for you. If I have to rebuild my SCP log so be it. So will this get update correct the null entries?

  10. This may have been asked before so my apologies if it has. I just don't have the time right now to search.

Can the site notes I saved on my S4T be transferred to my Note 4? I don't see a way to do it, unless I'm missing something. I want to reset it and give it to my wife to replace her regular S4 and that's the only thing holding me back from doing it yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Sent from my Note 4.

I think and I'm not 100% sure but if your phone is rooted you can gain access to the database where the SCP log is stored and you can load everything into the new phone. When Mike wakes up or have some free time I'm sure he will gladly answer this question for you.

  11. Just got my third G2 from Sprint (original purchase and now two refurbed phones). I am finally suffering through trying to get my MSL as my phone and the first refurbed phone had ZVA or older so I could use the dialer code. The latest one came with ZVD, but hopefully the GPS works and it doesn't freeze...

See if you can use the bsrtimer issue to get them to give it you
  12. Maybe I always get HD is because it's between two G2's. It's possible the ZVE update will give improved consistency as it was listed in the upgrade notes I believe.

Doubt because of two G2s. My cousin has one also and still nothing
